I’m going back to the purchase of a Vax steamer last year. It stopped working so after contacting John Lewis was told to ring Vax on a number that wasn’t valid. After much hoo ha Vax contacted me and said to return the steamer to them. I had difficulty finding packaging and although the courier from UPS was excellent the whole experience was really not very good. I would have thought that John Lewis would have sorted the problem. Very unlike the service I have had in the past.

Hi Margaret, with many items the warranty is provided by the manufacturer as oppose to John Lewis. It's quicker then to deal directly with Vax as they can attempt any trouble-shooting over the telephone before asking you to return the item, though I accept it's not good you were given an incorrect number to call.
I'm sorry for any disappointment and do hope the matter is now resolved for you. ^Alan
