Booking Reference: 221163605 My mother who is 80 and I stayed at The Cavendish Hotel in Eastbourne last Thursday 10th February and we had an appalling stay. The hotel is currently being used for migrants and the quality of service has degraded immensely. I did speak to a manager during my stay to complain but basically was told that his staff didn't have adequate time for (paying) guests due to the amount of work they needed to do to support the migrants. We asked to change rooms and he said he didn't have time. We are not anti-migrants, however if we pay full price to stay at a hotel we expect normal service. There were lots of signs saying that the service was degraded due to COVID, why is this not reflected on the website? if I had known I would have booked somewhere else. Here are my complaints, an hour to check in as we were ignored completely in reception, the room was filthy, smelly, dirty duvets, towels, carpets, bathroom didn't look like it had been cleaned in weeks. We didn't use the bathroom, we went straight to our show and used them there. Also the bar/food options were closed all afternoon, why is this not on the website? I would have chosen elsewhere if I had known. We didn't arrive until 4pm and because of the hour it took to check in it was too late to cancel and go elsewhere. My mother being 80 didn't want to go out in the very cold weather so I went and got some sandwiches and refreshments but got told off very rudely by the lady on reception when I returned to the hotel saying bringing food in it wasn't allowed. So we took the food to the show as the room was too disgusting to eat in. Before the show we asked for help to get a taxi and got told to go outside and find one ourselves, same lady on reception with big grin on her face. At the show the staff were very understanding and sat us down with complimentary drinks whilst we ate our food. They mentioned that many people were complaining about The Cavendish Hotel and it concerned them that the degradation in Eastbourne Hotels would impact their bookings. When we got back from the show the bar was open but we were approached by the migrants asking us to sit with them and asking us if we had some cash to spare. We went to bed instead of having a drink. We couldn't use the lifts because they were stacked with bags/luggage so again facilities not used. During the night the room was absolutely freezing and because the duvets were so small we couldn't keep warm so got fully dressed. After an awful night we went to see what breakfast was like, but not being too hopeful. We were right. None of the hot food was covered and due to limited servings tools the other guests were helping themselves by hand (COVID!). We couldn't get to the hot drinks machine as we kept getting pushed out of the way, the breakfast room was so noisy and the other guests had music blaring from mobile devices. The lady at the reception desk really didn't care. During the whole stay not one person had a mask on (even staff), hand sanitisers were empty and it was so crowded. This hotel has been a favourite one for many of our family and friends for years but we have no intention of ever visiting again we will make this known to others. we have written several bad reviews about the hotel and the service is doing nothing for Eastbourne Tourism so we will alert the council and the local press and food & hygiene ombudsman. The hotel needs a full inspection. £105.00 for one night of crap Terrible, I demand a full refund!

The whole experience was smooth and faultless. From order through to deliver by Jack and aftercare with Jemma Coburn who located my Sat Nav which I left in my old car. Will recommend to family and friends

Sales advisor helped me choose glasses/frames because I am so short-sighted I can't see them on me. I hate them, they are too big for my face bad advice if it wasn't for COVID I would have had someone with me.

Don’t buy anything from these cowboys. They solder me a TV with DVD package, however DVD player was not compatible with TV. I went to a local electronics store for advice, Euronics recommended I buy a converter to resolve this. Local electronics advised this was utter nonsense and advised I buy a compatible DVD Player which I have. All working fine, I contacted customer care to return original DVD player, that was weeks ago. I was sent a returns form and sent DVD player back at my own expense. An Post confirmed delivery received by Euronics over two weeks ago. I still have no refund and customer care are now ignoring me so looks like I have lost over 50 euros. I have checked their returns policy which advises refund should be with me by now. Raising this again to Euronics but now they won’t correspond with me. Complete scam! Never, never buy anything, also Euronics in store refuse to help with any of their online deliveries. Customer Serivce is appalling!

MAGOLOFT - Fraudsters operating under Anskey Company Limited based in London (Albert Embankment). Their director details on the company report are based in China, I've reported them to Gov.UK to see if I can get a response. I ordered my item in March'20 and they took immediate payment and then advised that the product was out of stock. They offered me a refund which has never happened. I did get one response to my email from somebody who had very broken English, probably Chinese too. DON'T BUY ANYTHING, How on earth are FACEBOOK letting this happen? REPORT, REPORT, REPORT I refuse to give up
