Beige Stroller
The Stroller we bought was good in the shop on a flat surface, however we left the shop and walked around the village and as there is a slight camber on a lot of the pavements my mum almost fell 3 times, it is not stable enough for her to use on her own which is the whole point of getting one, I called the shop and spoke to the manager and unfortunately as it had been outside we are unable to return it's an expensive mistake on our part especially as it has only been used for 15 minutes I am now left with an item I will have to try and sell privately

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear the stroller hasn’t proved as suitable for your mum as you had hoped.
The stroller was demonstrated and tried in store before purchase, and following the demonstration you were happy to proceed with the purchase. Unfortunately, as it has since been used outdoors, we’re unable to accept it back for a refund.
We appreciate this is disappointing and are sorry the stroller hasn’t worked out as hoped.

Amazing staff!
We’ve visited both the Nantwich and Crewe stores over the last month for bits for my nana who has recently become more immobile than normal after a fall. The staff in both stores have gone above and beyond for us and have been so kind. Each time we’ve visited the experiences have been so lovely. I would highly recommend these stores to anyone!

Mark was pleasant and understanding, he didn't over sell or push anything he just let me tell him what I needed and found the perfect stair lift, Mark also fitted the stair lift very clean and tidy job . I would recommend to any one.

Ableworld Nigel, Mobility Scooter
I’ve just come back from Ableworld in Crewe Cheshire. My husband and I called in last Sunday morning, just to have a look at the Mobility Scooters and get some general information. Once entering the shop we were greeted by Nigel the Duty Store Manager. I felt self conscious and embarrassed about enquiring about the mobility scooters, but Nigel came straight up to us, immediately making us feel relaxed, he asked what our requirements where regarding the scooters and what we wanted it for. I never felt judged or uncomfortable with him, and within ten minutes of meeting Nigel, we were sitting and testing some of the scooters out in the shop. Dare I say we were having fun, at the same time learning all about the mobility scooters and which one would meet our needs ?
Nigel never tried to push or make a sale, he was very informative of all the scooters we enquired about, and nothing was to much trouble, showing us how to collapse the scooters to fit in the car boot.
By the time we left the shop we had decided what mobility scooter we wanted, the only decision that we couldn’t make was which colour.
We had chosen the new design of the Pride Scooter, the demonstration model which had only come into the shop on the Friday was black, and the other model that was in stock was orange. We had decided that a mobility scooter was our next step forward, and as we were going on holiday the following week, we needed the scooter before we went.
When Nigel checked his stock for the scooter, he realised that the one in stock was an Orange colour.
I saw his face, and immediately knew that something wasn’t quite right, and when he told me the scooter was Orange I nearly cried!
However Nigel was quick to explain that it was only on the panels that were Orange and not the whole bike? He even opened the box so that we could try and get a feel of the colour.
Anyway as we’d decided that we were definitely going to buy either the black or orange, Nigel said that he would reserve both scooters till the following morning, when he would build the orange scooter up so that we could see both the Black and the Orange scooter to decide on the colour
When we returned the following morning, Nigel was true to his word and had built the orange scooter, and had put them both together for us to decide.
Believe it or not I chose the Orange one!
Nigel said that he thought that was a great colour for me, and that it made the scooter look
individual. I have now got two little number plates that says Scooby Doo and I love it.
As the picture attached shows I am currently in Cornwall enjoying visiting all the Cornish villages, that I have not been able to walk around in a very long time.
That Sunday morning, has changed my life completely, it has given me my freedom back that cancer had taken away.
Things could have been so different if on that Sunday morning Nigel was not working, he helped me overcome the feeling of embarrassment along with other feelings, properly without even realising it. Nigel changed my life forever that Sunday, and I will always be entirnally grateful, he is one in a million and deserves a medal, I wish all sales people were so attentive and helpful, with a huge amount of empathy, without even knowing it.
Thank you Nigel for helping me take control, and giving me part of my life back.

Went to Ableworld Crewe to purchase a…
Went to Ableworld Crewe to purchase a mobility scooter, I just wanted to say how fantastic the service was. Jonathan and Amy were both extremely knowledgeable - especially Jonathan who really went above and beyond. When I went to collect my new scooter I wasn’t able to lift the scooter into the car myself , but he took care of everything without hesitation. Nothing was too much trouble even Amy brought a chair to the desk whilst paying etc as I cannot stand for very long. They both made me feel completely at ease, I can’t thank them enough.

Great visit.
Visited the Crewe store - was served by Jay & Amy.
First time in ableworld with my elderly mother in law.
Absolutely fantastic service. Above & beyond. I also noticed how clearly Jay spoke for my MIL as he picked up she was hard of hearing.
He also took time and care in explaining everything to her.
Amy helped us find everything we needed.
I will always use this store now. Thank you Jay & Amy.
And the chair was delivered and is perfect.

I bought a mobility scooter and a…
I bought a mobility scooter and a mobility bed. The mattress ( memory foam) on the bed was not level it was leaning to one side I called the shop in week later no joy I found out who supplies the mattress called them week later some one came to take a look a after 2 weeks I called them MIBED and they blamed me. The bed I sent photos to ableworld saying that the hing bracket has fell off no joy with the shop so contacted ABLEWORLD HQ I got fobbed off they wanted and kept going on about charging me £70 if they send out a engineer so I declined it is still under warranty NOT VERY HAPPY WITH ABLEWORLD AT ALL I will NOT be going there again FULL stop

Thank you for submitting your review. Naturally we are disappointed that you felt the need to leave a post of this nature, and sorry that you feel that you have been left disappointed.
Due to the inherent nature of memory foam mattresses, they are designed to hold the impression of the body when weight is applied to help support the body. This is not a fault of the product and as such no blame was made, the manufacturer simply advised you how the mattress works on their visit so you can prevent this in the future.
We understand that our engineering department did inform you that we would be happy to send an engineer out for the hinge bracket repair and it was discussed that a callout charge would only be applicable if the repair was not found to be a warranty issue. We also understand that after this discussion took place, you decided to look to repair the issue yourself. Ableworld provide a full warranty with our products but we do like to be open and honest with our customer, just incase a repair is found not to be a warranty issue, so our customers are prepared if this is the case.

We visited Ableworld today in Crewe
We visited Ableworld today in Crewe, after making a mistake ordering a power chair online, which is too heavy and not for us, will be returning it. I have only good things to say about the very personal and knowledgeable service we received today from Amy and Jonathon. We spent some time in the shop looking at scooters and power chairs, their expert knowledge helped us to make the decision, without any pressure, my husband had a test drive and Amy assistate me in trying sizes in our car boot. Very happy with our purchase Q50R Carbon, ready for its test drive next week on our holiday. Definitely would recommend, the personal touch and the chance to talk about the scooters and chairs is very much appreciated. Debra Jones
