A fool and his money easily parted. Travis pick I 20 day purchased from Amazon £20. Cheap looking paperback. Badly written biography and first 6 pages stuffed with absolute basics that can be got from any book or site. 16 pages of basic travis after that is OK however this rag is worth little more than £10 at the very best.

I'm making slow progress but the instructions are clear. It's a little irritating logging onto the course. There must be an easier way than returning to the original log-on email.
I think a review is much better to give after a much longer length of time when you really can rate the experience.

I had a good experience with learning guitar in 20 days . The lessons were clear and precise, and I liked the backing tracks to go along with it because I have a hard time with timing.thank you.

If you have absolutely no idea about soloing and what's a major and minor pentatonic this could be a start.
But it's the absolut basic stuff showing the boxes/shapes. Some (just a few) very simple licks included.
For me it was a waste of money... it should be marked as "for absolute beginners"

They offered me a refund. Thank you!! That's fair enough.
Obviously I haven't seen on the webpage that it's for beginners, I just read the advertisement/email and ordered it.
As I said before... If you don't have a clue how to start soloing: this could be a good start.
I bought also Andrews "Fingerpicking in 20 days" and that's a good start for me as I am a total beginner in Fingerstyle

Very informative and useful book to have!

I bought Travis Picking in 20 Days. It is so well constructed. It's little daily steps leading to, for me, a great leap forward. Not bad for a 78 year old relatively early stages guitarist. Makes a change from strumming!

The programs are designed so that I can go at my own pace. If there is something I am unsure off I can revisit the lessons time and time again as there are no restrictions on how long they are posted for.

So far, the program has been long on techniques and short on actual fingerpicking or Travis picking. Not that it isn't useful, just not what I expected.

I can't seem to play the backing tracks for the pentatonic shapes. When I click on the link, I just gt recycled back to the first stage again but no backing tracks.

I only got to day 13 and I tripped and fell and broke 2 fingers, so I had to put it on the back burner for a while, but, it is exactly what I’ve been looking for and was enjoying it till I got hurt.
Love the way you present and teach the guitar tabs and the Travis picking method.
I’ve learned so much in the first 12 days because of the way you present the practice sheets. I’m looking forward for the next 9 lessons.

Only I have sometimes a hard time with the terms. (I am Dutch-speaking).

I’ve gotten a better understanding of pentatonic scales but no lightbulb moment yet. Still working and enjoying.

Your program is good. I’ve been a little sporadic in my practicing . I do hit stumbling blocks with chords & I frequently run back to the bass when this happens . ( Chords are much easier there ) . My acoustic needs a set up & possibly I may need to pick up a thinner neck as those barre chords do kill me .
Anyway that is why I bought your course . I have to suck it up & continue .

Great teacher. Presents material in a way that makes it easy to understand and practice.

I’m enjoying it. After playing for 20+ years there’s been some lightbulbs going on while following the lessons. Would be great if I could download the play along songs so I could import them into my daw for practice.

Love the process the course takes to teach you. Really simple and rewarding as a beginner!

I have enjoyed your detailed program. I would however make one observation you played F#m not Fm in your video. Sounds better than Fm

I’m half-way through - day 10. At first I thought it was too basic for my needs - I have been playing for a few years now. But at this point I can see how it builds and the first few days would be essential for a biginner.
I appreciated being able to get a hard copy as well - I have limited internet connection in my studio.
