Longtime Austin homeowner here. House is paid off, never missed a payment, never filed a claim. I’m the definition of low-risk and responsible.

So when Allstate jacked up my premium, I figured I’d shop around. Called an agent, gave him every detail. Twenty minutes of my time, gone. He comes back with this gem: “No companies are giving me quotes, but I can refer you to our ‘Specialty Company.’”

Translation? The overpriced fallback option they toss at people they can’t be bothered to help.

I asked the obvious: “Will I have to give all my info again and is the Specialty company more expensive?”
His answer? “I don’t know.”

Seriously? You’ve never transferred anyone before? I can't tolerate liars. So hung up. Disgusted.

I submitted my info to them and even after two call backs, I never received a response from them. Waste of my time !!

Called to cancel my renters plan last year. The agent never bothered to actually cancel. I just found out that I paid for 7 months of renters insurance for an apartment I don't even live in and was just about to be charged for another year.

Their automated call system is garbage for getting help. Takes numerous calls to even talk to a person to help you.

Calling AIS for my automobile insurance needs was a great experience. The agent I spoke with was friendly, knowledgeable, and understood my needs. I highly recommend AIS for quick, easy, and hassle free insurance coverage.

Despite having canceled my insurance policy, I was charged for the next billing period. It appears that the agency failed to communicate the cancellation to the insurance company in a timely manner.

I used AIS Insurance recently and found their services to be satisfactory. The policy options were clear, the staff was helpful, and the claims process was relatively smooth. However, the waiting time for customer support could use some improvement.

There customer support was amazing. Super knowledgable, willing to invest time to find the real answers, and a human with understanding -- not like most customer support people that act like robots!

Extremely rude,unhelpful and bordering intimidating about my intentions when I spoke with them about equine insurance, spoke to me as if I was trying to scam them and would not provide information I was looking for eg what documentation would they require with an application. If this is how they treat potential customers I can't imagine what they'd be like during an actual claim. Do not recommend.

When I called I was quoted $460 up front cost and $290 a month for my 4 vehicles for a 6 month policy. They were trying to auto apply 12,000 miles on all the vehicles when I do around 11000 on two and less than 500 a year on the other two so I had to get approved by underwriting which took 15 days. Once I was approved I called to set up the policy but was met with a $535 up front cost with a $320 a month bill. Somehow the quote was raised by $100's when the mileage was reduced drastically and they even claimed to have added an AAA and Sam's Club discount to the policy and it was still that much. These people are Scammers!

This insurance company has skyrocketed! I have Mercury auto Insurance thru these guys. STAY AWAY! They now charge you 25% of the premium every time your policy RENEWS. My first bill is more than doubled and then its even for the remainder of the policy. Tell me your going broke without telling me your going broke as a company. They also charge fees just for paying your bill! If you sign up to have them automatically take the bill out of your checking account, its a $4 fee. If by debit, its $6 fee. THIS ADDS UP! I've payed these clowns over $300 in fees for the year, JUST TO PAY MY BILL! The only way to avoid the fee is by PAYING THE POLICY IN FULL! Who does that!? This is CRIMINAL! I have all the discounts you can think of and can only imagine what my bill would be if I didn't have "good driver" on my policy. It's probably all BS and means nothing! The reps are also TRASH! Incompetent! This company is TRASH. I've never wished a company would go bankrupt. I can't wait for the fall of this company!

I have had this insurance company for a year and more, I had recently moved about two months ago, and they were unable to assist me through the phone on changing my address. I ended up having an auto claim in which they denied because my address was not changed. They dropped my insurance and had someone come out to give me an estimate for my car only to take three weeks to tell me that they woild dropping my insurance. The price was reasonable for a driver with a DUI, the cheapest, however, I would never rely on them for helping with claims. Waste of money and horrible communication skills.

Terrible service and keep changing their rates whenever you called, stayed on the phone every time 60-80mins and wasted the time of their customers.

New State, same 2 cars, same line of work. AIS checked their carriers and saved us 300 every 6 months from our old policy in the old state.
Better coverage, too! Top line insurance company.

Their a fraud insurance company. I was dropped via email by way of cancellation of my homeowners insurance and because I have argued lately over my auto, their so vindictive that they sent me a email saying they canceled my auto policy instead. They now have two complaints, and a lawsuit heading their way. Moreover, I am a returning customer and was shopping on USAA they lapsed my insurance in 2016 unbeknownst to me. Unbelievable how reckless this insurance company truly is, and careless.

I got rip off from AIS Insurance. After we agreed on the original price that was $526 for the insurance policy, they jacked up the price to $1293 without the consent or notification. They just sent me the bill and demanded me to pay it.
When I fought for the original price of $526, all they did was delaying without making any progress. When I cancelled the policy, they charged me $170 for having the policy for a month, and refunded me $356 only.
They are not reliable but only for their gain. I will give them less than zero if I could.

I don't recommend it to anyone

Mr. James Tarvis has been Harassing Me And Threatening To Cancel My Paid Up In Full For One Full Year 2nd Insurance Policy For Invalid And/Or Illegitimate Reasons!

When I purchased this Insurance Policy for the Temporary Construction, around March-April Of 2017, Mr. James Tarvis NEVER TOLD ME THERE WAS A DEADLINE for Friday, May 5, 2017 to Complete The Construction.

Had Mr. James Tarvis been Honest and Upfront from the Very Beginning And Told Me There Was A Friday, May 5, 2017 Deadline,
(Instead Of Just Trying To Sell Insurance Policies And Make His Commissions), then I would have NEVER PURCHASED THIS POLICY!

This Is What I Call A Very Misleading Way To Sell Your Insurance Policies And I Can See Why You Do Not Have Many Good Reviews On Google.com And You Are About To Have Another One From ME!

During A Very Recent Conversation With Mr. James Tarvis: I told him that I had hired a California Licensed Contractor named Dave Watson from Watson Builder to complete this Very Short Project and we are working with Mr. John Jaegers who is a Senior Inspector from the Los Angeles Department Of Building And Safety who is carefully monitoring this project until the Very End and it is Mr. John Jaegers who is Setting The Time Frame Of When The Project Should Be Completed and Nobody Else!

In Reality, this Project will be Completed In Full Sometime In June Of 2017 and Mr. James Tarvis is Refusing To Accept This As A Straight And Honest Answer!

Furthermore, Mr. James Tarvis is acting Very Unprofessional about this and he and his company Were On Their Way To Getting Sued By ME!

For Example, Mr. he is Making False Statements By Stating That One Of The Cars And Motorcycles Is Non Operational And He Is Asking Me To Move Them To Prove That They Are Still Operational.

Well, how would HE Even Know This For A Fact If He Does Not Even Live There?

When we discussed this, he first asked ME to have the two (2) vehicles MOVED from their parking spots, then he Changes His Mind and tells ME that it would be better to have ALL OF THE VEHICLES PARKED in MY PERSONAL AND PRIVATE BACKYARD to BE MOVED!

All of Mr. James Tarvis's Demands have been Extremely Inappropriate and Very Offensive to say the Very Least!

Once Again, if he was Clear and Upfront about all of this from the Very Beginning, including his deadline of Friday, May 5, 2017, then I would have NEVER PAID FOR THIS FRAUDULENT, FAKE & ILLEGITIMATE INSURANCE POLICY!

Please NOTE: Mr. James Tarvis has Also Scammed ME by stating that if and when My Insurance Policy Gets Cancelled By Friday, May 5, 2017, If My Licensed Contractor Can Not Meet His Demands, Then I Have The
OPTION Of Paying For A Much Higher Insurance Policy Which Could Cost Up To $3,000.00 More!

I would have preferred to keep this insurance policy the way that it is, however, Mr. James Tarvis has Made It Impossible To Keep!
