had a bit of trouble setting up a valheim server wwith mods. after getting in contact with an admin very quickly, we worked together for about an hour to get everything sorted. great experience!

Good servers
Aleforger servers are pretty cheap and there aren't lagging but sometimes server kick people from my server but maybe it because i got 1 GB ram limit and on (normal size world) and it hit 950-1000 MB when server is up but besides that all is good

Hi Kamil,
Yes that behavior is expected if your server is running out of memory. A normal world can usually use less than 1 GB of ram depending on the number of players but once you run out of memory new players won't be able to connect or players will be disconnected to free up ram. Unlike other providers we won't just kill your server when it runs out of memory as we do not want to see our customers lose progress when a server is killed.
If you are hitting your memory limit please open a ticket and I will make use our summer promotion applies to your upgrade order.

Does not publicly show that 1.4 TMod doesn’t work
It was very annoying as they didn’t properly say that TModLoader 1.4 isn’t supported, and that their chat feature never did either. It is true I should have waited and once I’ve used 1.3 TModLoader, it has been a perfect experience but the main reason originally was to play 1.4

Hi Adam,
tModloader 1.4 is an Alpha state and as such is not guaranteed to be supported by our hosting due to the sweeping changes they made to the server software. Any server software that provides they update in an Alpha or Beta state may not be supported on a case by case basis while our engineers work to add support and functionality to our panel that meets our standards.
However, we did launch early support for tModloader 1.4 this week and you can switch to 1.4 using our Server Swap option. https://billing.aleforge.net/announcements/28/tModloader-1.4-Alpha-Support-Added.html
I do see you were initially talking to our support bot outside of our live chat hours of 7 am to 9 pm EDT which can't answer questions such as you asked. I see someone followed up with you the following morning via email with all of the details about tModloader 1.4 Alpha support. We also have a knowledgebase article that shows which versions of tModloader are supported on our platform along with other Terraria server support. You could also have reached out to our steam via ticket 24/7 for an answer to this question.

this is a really good service, i bought a modded terraria server for cheap and it has only equal or less issues than hosting a server from my own computer, and it hasnt crashed once.

I'm enjoying my experience
So far I haven't had any issues, their website had a lot of useful information for a noob like me to understand what I needed to do, or where to look for information. And, if I needed help, I see that their system is set up to allow me to ask them questions for support.
I've only had a few friends play with me on the server, but so far the uptime has been 100% and as advertised.

Hi,
The reason you are having issues is the following:
1. You ordered our smallest 1GB plan which only supports small/medium worlds. If you tried to load your own large world this behavior would happen
2. I see your server is currently hitting its memory cap. You need to upgrade to our 2 GB plan to resolve any issues related to the server being out of memory
All our plans include our amazing support so make sure to take advantage of it a we are happy to assist you and it took me less than 2 minutes to see what your issue was.

Fast setup, good pricing and great support
Really fast and effortless to set up an own game server!
From buying a subscription to having the server running maybe 5 minutes? The server panel is great, they use the Pterodactyl management which is really easy and intuitive to use even for beginner.
Had one configuration issue, the support via chat is mad fast, got an answer in less than 20 seconds.
Pricing is also great, especially for smaller game servers which a lot of other hosters don't even offer.
All around a very good experience, I will stay as satisfied customer for now!

Was off to a rough start at first since I know nothing about server hosting, but the support team is really great and the server preforms great as well. Definitely worth the subscription if you need a gaming server or web domain.
