Rude manager and sneaky additional fees.
We viewed a car that was listed at £7,495. Within 5 minutes of arriving the sales person tells us that there is a £295 fee for a customer care package. This covers the MOT, service, warranty etc. We query this as it isn't listed on the Autotrader advert, Drive the car, warning light comes on. 'It will be sorted as part of the package' Get back. Don't want us looking too closely at the paperwork. Ask about cambelt, told it is 10 years and 120k. For the Duratekq engine it is actually 8 years, but we leave it for now as they are not interested in hearing this. Sales man tries to upsell warranties and paint protection. We say we wish to buy the car, but won't pay a fee for services which should be included. Manager (wee man with attitude) comes out, claiming it is listed on the website. (which it is, but assume you just use the Autotrader as we did, then you do not know) there is no signage on site, or on the cars about the fee. Any way, continues aggressively to say that we have to pay it, or can take the car as is as he doesn't need to give a warranty. True, but under sales of goods and consumer protection he has to stand by the car for 6 months. His response 'good luck with proving it' Absolute idiot of a man. They just think they can try it on. Take your money elsewhere.

Our Care Package includes a 3 Month or 3,000 mile self backed warranty, a full pre Deliver Inspection including the replacement of any items that do not meet our stringent preparation criteria, a service as required, an MOT if less than 6 months remaining, 1/4 tank of fuel and the arrangement of 12 months complimentary roadside assistance. At £299 we really do think this represents fantastic value.

Amazing buying experience
Absolutely fantastic experience, Aston did a great job at looking after the preparation of my new vehicle and made sure the bodywork was perfect for when I came to collect it. The car was professionally looked over by the service department and whatever was deemed not up to standard a new part was installed without hesitation. The collection was extremely quick and went very smoothly which is exactly what you want when you have your brand new car waiting for you outside. Thank you to everyone who was involved and making buying my new vehicle such a breeze!

Dont buy online without physically viewing
Bought a VW Polo GTI without viewing and in the main a nice car. They had 3 days to prepare the car but when picked up it had a few visible scratches and stone chips not attended too despite promises it would be in mint condition. A little disappointing and when i complained the usual 'got to refer to a manager' no discount or money towards sorting. Promises to email me & never happened. When i emailed he phoned and will put a touch up pen in the post! A little disappointing as otherwise would have been a positive experience.

The vehicle purchased was 7 years old with 46,000 miles, it did have some minor honest wear in line with its age and mileage. We cannot and do not bring every vehicle back to a like new condition, as this would mean we could not advertise the vehicles at the exceptional value which led you to enquire on our vehicle and travel all the way to us rather than buy one locally.
Furthermore, were you not happy with the vehicle, there was no pressure to complete the order. You inspected the vehicle and its condition, before proceeding with the purchase.
We would love to turn your experience into a 5 star one and were genuinely disappointment to hear that sending you a free paint repair kit, did not achieve this.

Do not buy from anchor
Do not buy from anchor.
Paid a £500 deposit I was promised I’d get back.
I decided against purchasing the vehicle less than 24hrs later. They have since told me I will not be refunded my deposit. The only way to receive my money back is to purchase one of their vehicles.
They have gone against their word.
Save yourself the effort, don’t use this company.
As explained to you, it was never explained that £500 would not have been refunded should I change my mind. It was also never explained that as I had seen the car in person this would mean I would not be refunded.
I was asked to pay £500 and reassured it would be refunded. Had I known I would not have been refunded I would never have agreed the deal at that time.
You have kept the car off the market for 5 days but I notified you after less than 24 hours to cancel. You are now claiming all this money you’ve lost as a result. I emailed the 10th/12th/13th and at no point was I told I would not be refunded.
I trusted you and you broke your promise. Your policy was not explained.
This absolutely reflects my interaction with you.

This is not a fair representation of your interactions with Anchor Cars.
1. You came to site and after spending time with our sales team, road testing a vehicle and giving it a good check over, decided to proceed with the purchase. You sent us a £500 deposit to proceed with the sale.
2. We do not take refundable deposits for vehicles purchased on site, the order form and paperwork signed by yourself clearly states this. This is because, once off sale we lose the opportunity to sell this to other customers and have in fact missed out selling this vehicle in this timescale.
3. Your own supplied finance company were due to finance your vehicle purchase in full, once the purchase had completed. In this scenario you would have been due a £500 refund. This is not the same as cancelling the purchase, where we need to cover the costs of business and you not honoring your purchase contract.
I am sorry you are disappointed in this instance, we will of course retain your deposit on your account for 12 months, should there be another vehicle you wish to use this against. There is no need for you to lose your deposit.

Sold to Anchor cars via Motorway, arranging pick up was quick and easy. All staff I spoke to were really nice and helpfully.
The car was picked up by Peter Felton, particular shout out to Peter. Everything was smooth and he was extremely nice and knowledgable. Payment was instant after checks were complete.

BMW 530D really lovely…
bought a BMW 530D really lovely condition.
serviced on getting Home found there was no Locking Wheel nuts enquired why not ? We had to remove old ones as no Security socket with car.So why not get a Replacement set? no real answer.
after driving car for a while more & more vibration from front of car, Brake Disc run out, new pads had been fitted onto warped discs,now out of 3 month Warranty,had my garage sort it out.after the BS about locking wheel nuts didn't bother with Anchor cars.
