On this particular occasion, as well as previous occasions, I rate the Anima system as poor. It does nothing to alleviate the 8.00 a.m.'rush'. You need to be able to access anima by 8.05, otherwise appointments have gone for the day. I consider myself reasonably 'computer savvy', at least to complete the form. It is tedious and goodness knows how anyone with limited computer experience, copes. I bye-past the system recently. The thoughtful receptionist listened, reported my message to the GP. She filled in THE FORM on my behalf and I had the necessary medication within an hour. This was not a 111 or 999 call but needed to be dealt with ASAP. This standard of response would not happened if I had followed the Anima procedure.

I would say the best doctor s surgery in Watford . Everyone working here so professional and they so efficient with even the smallest things which make a huge difference to patients who are in pain or going through bad day .There always someone to help you .

I've been trying to get an appointment with my GP for weeks thanks to anima I managed to get an appointment within half hour of my request, if you need a fit note use the online service i requested one half hour ago and it's now waiting to be picked up the quickest ever keep up the hard work it's working amazingly

This has to be one of the best doctors practices in the country, allways receive an excellent service from every member of staff.

Sarah on the desk was really empathetic and kind when I explained my issues . I felt she really listened then told me exactly what would happen . I know how busy the surgery is and I apologised for bothering them she said it was no trouble . Having gone through anima I still had to phone the surgery as anima system seems limited in what it can follow through on . Very happy with my experience thanks to Sarah !

As a Family we have the privilege of being Patients of The Orchard Practice Medical Centre for 46 years and in that time I can honestly say that it has given us a truly wonderful Service. Their entire Team from Consultants to Reception staff and everyone in between should be very proud of themselves for the genuine care and dedication they provide.I have no problem in giving them a 5* rating

Booking a doctor request online used to be simple and easy. Now with Anima, you can only submit requests at surgery opening hours and you have a strict time limit to complete your form. That is if you can find the form. Half the time it just doesn't exist for the specific problem, or is combined with other unrelated problems, so you can either lie to get the closest category and write the real problem at the end or give up and call reception which I do more often than not.

This isn't isolated, other people I know share the same sentiment (worse sentiment, actually), and I've witnessed patients at the reception desk complaining that it gave them a bad time.

If a triage system results in giving up and going to the reception desk more often than not, it's not really fit for purpose, is it?

Apart from the odd waiting room delay which is normal and inevitable, the staff are consistently excellent and service over the passed few years has been really good.
