I had a very frustrating experience with this company. I placed an order a week in advance and selected a Friday delivery date using their online system. Based on that, I took a day off work and booked a technician to come and install the item.

Shockingly, just two days before the scheduled delivery, I was informed that the item wouldn’t arrive at their warehouse until five days later — meaning the delivery had to be pushed to the following week. This last-minute change completely disrupted my plans.

I asked if they could deliver after 3 PM on one of two or three specific weekdays the following week, since I couldn’t take another day off work. It was a simple and fair request, especially considering that they were the ones who changed the date, not me.

My technician was no longer available, and everything had to be rearranged. But instead of helping, they refused to accommodate any time after 3 PM, insisting that I had to be home all day on a date of their choosing.

To make matters worse, they suggested that if I wanted to keep the original delivery date, I should switch to a different product model — which felt manipulative and misleading.

I find this level of service unacceptable. There was no apology, no responsibility taken, and absolutely no flexibility offered. I will not be buying from this company again, and I would not recommend them to anyone.
I hope this company seriously reviews its customer service practices — people have jobs and schedules, and cannot be expected to rearrange everything last minute for mistakes they didn’t cause.

The service I received was great! I've ordered a washing machine and it is being delivered (free!) on Monday. There was lots of choice, but I wasn't pressured to spend more than I wanted. I will leave another review once I've got and used the machine. At the moment, I am very happy.

Fabulous service, as always. Had what we wanted, helped us to have the delivery day that we wanted. Delivery was when we expected. Delivery guys helpful and happy. Wouldn’t use anyone else.

Unfortunately, arriving home from holiday with a stack of washing, I found the tumble dryer had given up the ghost, just when the weather had turned to 'monsoon season'. After looking on the internet and being bombarded with choices, I jumped in the car and went to Appliance Shop. I explained to Michael Reynolds what I was looking for, and was immediately shown just what I wanted. Michael explained the controls, and the 3 year guarantee that came with the appliance. We moved on to delivery, which amazingly was the next day, and my old tumble dryer would be taken away. I was very happy with the service, and the speed in which it all took - I was in and out in 15 minutes!! Thank you Michael. Order no: 196964.

Very dissapointed as I expect a company like this to give you the correct advice before the purchase. I am looking for a fridge and freezer for my integrated garage, thought I found it on their website but decided to check reviews on other sites. One site states min temperature required 10C. Phoned Hotpoint, as the item is a Hotpoint American unit. None of their fridges, freezers or American ones are designed to be kept in an outbuilding without heating. I would have wasted £699 plus delivery and the warranty coming with it would be void. Brilliant

Came in looking for a new tumble dryer. We were met with a friendly chap who was helpful and very informative. They helped us with picking out the tumble dryer and getting it across the busy main road and into the car. We will most definitely be using them again if we need any more appliances. We had used this company before, when it was Appliances Direct, so when we were traveling home from Heysham and the fridge they supplied, many years ago, had stopped being its hardworking self a few days earlier, we decided to visit the store. We were greeted by Sam Wood, who immediately found exactly what we wanted, and also arranged delivery and the removal of the old fridge. We were impressed with her friendliness and the competence with which she handled our query. Thank you. order ref:196906.

Delivered a hob that was damaged and unusable. Because it wasn't opened within 48 hours a replacement was refused. Photos were provided proving the item was damaged, it was delivered in
in different branded packaging (so must have been a return or previously opened) and even the internal polystyrene packaging was damaged proving it hasd been dropped during handling or delivery (from a significant height). Still a refusal to replace...so, if you use this shop, make sure you check on delivery or you would be left 100's of pounds out of pocket!

We ordered a freezer yesterday and it was delivered promptly today, well within the times scale. The guy who delivered it was extremely nice and helpful. He took our old appliance away without a problem. We will not hesitate to use them again. We'll recommend them 100%

Needed a dishwasher quickly for our new kitchen and The Appliance Shop not only had competitive prices compared with other local stores, they also had items in stock ready to collect, whereas the likes of Currys and Argos were deliveries only. Staff member was really helpful over the phone when we enquired about stock.

We popped in the same day and collected what we wanted and it was seamless. Definitely recommend! (Sales Ref: 196784)

Great staff in the shop, fast delivery of a washing machine by a very helpful person.

Went into the store 20th May and met by a very helpful lady who showed us which undercounter fridges they had available and answered all our questions. Entering the shop and buying the fridge took less than 10 minutes. Delivery was agreed for the 23rd May. We had a text advising us of a 2 hour delivery slot and the delivery man was both pleasant and efficient.
