April Cornell has no self respect
I have had the same experience with customer service not calling me back--waiting 2 months still. I called this morning, left another msg & emailed. Nothing again. Finding damage in my clothes, no responses. I was referring people to the store near my work. I will cease to do that and share my story need be.
Tried to order a gift for my sister
I ordered a gift for my sister. Afterward it occurred to me that I should call customer service to ensure the price wouldn't be included on any invoice included with the order. Called customer service twice ... only option was to leave my name, phone number and order #. with promise of a call back. Didn't get a call back, so I called their store in Vermont directly. Then got an email today that gift would be shipped in one to two weeks! Sent a reply expressing surprise and consternation. Then I went online and read the dreadful reviews. I sent a second email asking that my order be cancelled. This will be my first and last attempt to purchase from April Cornell. (Disappointing because my sister likes their products.) It appears April Cornell is not equipped to handle online orders despite reports that such orders represent 1/3 of their sales.

Horrible customer service…
I was sent a nightgown with rust stains on it-it also looked like it had possibly been washed,returned to the company and then sent to me. There is NO customer service, they will not return calls and they do not return emails. Very frustrating as I have purchased many items from this company over the years and now for whatever reason have no ability to get an issue resolved due to their abysmal customer service.
No refund issued!!
I returned a dress that took several weeks to receive and when I finally got it was not what I expected. Canada Post provided a receipt with tracking so I was able to check to make sure the item was returned on time. The dress was received on June 3 … it is now July 7 and to date I have not received a refund to my credit card! One email response stated that there is a delay in refund payments and to expect the refund in 2-3 weeks. Well, it’s several weeks past the date of return and nothing has been done. I sent out more emails with no response. I won’t be ordering from this company again. Sadly, I may never get my money back. L Fraser, Canada
Poor Quality. No Customer Service
Bought a Vacationer raffia hat from April Cornell. What they shipped looked like a factory second with very visible fraying along one side of the brim. Emailed customer service; no response. Wrote a review of the product on their website; they did not post it. Their return policy allows for credit only.
No refund ever received!
What happened?! I used to be so happy with April Cornell’s products and service! But recently, I made a purchase and returned the items within the allotted time and proper paperwork and have not received my refund in a month. I’ve written an email, called and left a message and have called and waited on hold forever many times and they hang up after a certain time. Where are you guys?!
Product quality and service have declined.
I am so disappointed in what has happened to April Cornell. My favourite summer dresses are from April Cornell, but they are from several years ago when the quality of the cotton and the quality of the colours was far superior to what the company is putting out now. They have cut corners by using inferior, rough cotton which does not hold its shape. Not only does this affect the look and feel of the garment, but also the colour, as poor quality cotton does not take colour well. The good quality sewing is wasted on these inferior fabrics.
The colours on their website are a tribute to photoshopping and do not reflect the actual colour of the garments. Be particularly wary of ordering anything in the fuchsia or pink range as the colours on their web site bear little resemblance to the colours in person which tend to be muted and earth toned and not the lovely cool colours that appear on the website. It is ironic that the founder, April Cornell, claims to be focused on colour. If only the company would return to using the better quality cottons of 5 years ago, I would be a customer again. Be prepared to wait for several weeks for refunds and you may have to ask the credit card company to reverse the charge. Buyer beware.
Nobody works in customer service - at all
I ordered a dress, a cardigan and a hat. The clothing was nice enough, but I wanted to exchange the damaged cardigan. The invoice said if I wanted to make an exchange I had to contact their customer services first. Only, there is no customer service. At all. And I don't mean they are rude. I mean, they don't exist!
I called and waited "in line" until they hung up on me. So then I called and (obediently) left my number and a good time for them to call me back. But nobody ever called. So then I called again and waited. They disconnect you after an hour or so. Then I left more messages. No answer.
I emailed. No response.
There is no customer service!

Have been trying to get in touch with them about a dress that needs to be returned! The dress is good quality but it runs very large. No answer or return call from Customer Service on several days late last week and no email response either! The last date that was attempted was today 6/18/24. I already ordered a new size but if I do not hear back from them for this return, I will NEVER order from them again!
Terrible
Terrible. I returned both dresses, totally $350 dollars, and never received confirmation, nor any refund. Their customer service email address and phone numbers are nonfunctional.

I wish I had read these reviews before making my purchase. I ordered two dresses. One fit fine the other I need to exchange. I have emailed, left repeated phone messages on their 'customer service' line, left both facebook and instagram messages and nothing. I will never order from them again as if you need customer service there is NONE.

Nope, nope, nope. If you give them your money and find out you want to return it for a refund, don't expect to get it. Still waiting... Customer service is essentially non-existent. You're shouting into an echo chamber.

NO customer service! I am so frustrated at myself for choosing this company. I have a gala event at the end of June and I ordered two dresses in May. Ordering and receiving the dresses was an ok experience but one of the dresses is far too big. I wanted to exchange it and they state on the order form to CALL the phone number to do the exchange because they will cover the shipping cost (which is significant-about $20CAD).they only give you 30 days to do the exchange and it’s been 7 days already of being ghosted. I have called 8 times, left 2 voice messages and emailed them / all my messages stressed the importance of time as I need the dress within 2 weeks now. If you don’t have the staff to run an online service, you shouldn’t be doing this work. I feel extremely disappointed. I used to love this brand and when they had physical shops it was my absolute go to for any event. Sadly now I won’t ever purchase from April Cornell again.

Non-existent customer service. Horrible quality! Ordered two dresses. Waited weeks for them to arrive. Finally, one of the two arrived. They said it was a dress, and looks nice online. So see through it’s not even funny. Even with skin toned underwear on it shows, so guess it will be a cover up as I have tried too call numerous times, wait on hold forever, only to end up being told (automated) to leave a voicemail. I have left 3 voicemails over the last 2 weeks, and emailed 3 times to no avail. Customer service is poor to say the least. I paid $24.00 for shipping. Finally the other dress arrived, and it’s like a pillow case, plus the hem is not finished (can’t tell that from the picture or description online). Infuriating!!! Never, ever, again.
Be careful
Oh be careful! They are scam. Over 3 weeks trying to reach costumer Services by phone and email to exchange the item sent with wrong details and title. But NO ANSWER NOT AT ALL. Scam!!! PayPal is not active for the purchase. Only credit card! They charge $20 for shipping fee + $20 for exchange. Horrible experience.

My experience was good, but I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews. They are no where near as fast as some shippers, but I got my order @ 3 weeks after placing it. It was worth the wait. XS and S fit me. I wear a 12 misses.
Not sure if this company is a scam.
I ordered two night gowns. The quality was very nice, however, I have been trying to contact the company for 2 weeks now in order to exchange for a smaller size. They do not answer their phones, emails, or chat messages. They state they will get back with me. I finally printed a return label. Took pictures of everything I sent. I have a receipt. Not confident this company will ever respond without some serious action on my part. Very disappointing. I wonder who really owns this company. The customer service is not that of a nice little New England company.

Beware!--ordered several items; AC immediately charged my bank account; did not receive the items, and did not receive shipping info as stated on AC site; emailed 2x inquiring with no response; called customer service, waited on hold for over 15 minutes, then prompted to leave message with a promise of a return call-- never received a response. Shameful and deceptive!
