Quality Issues but Good Customer Support

I purchased a framed piece of artwork from Art.com to spruce up my guest bathroom after a remodel. The price was higher than I expected, but I found a piece I loved and decided it was worth the splurge.

When it arrived about two weeks later, I noticed two quality issues. First, the bevel cut on the mat wasn't as clean as I would have expected. More significantly, the black metal frame wasn't perfectly aligned at the corners, allowing the white mat to show through in a few spots. Because of the high contrast between the frame and mat, the issue was quite noticeable.

I contacted Art.com, and they immediately offered either a replacement or a full refund. Before pursuing either option, I disassembled the frame to investigate and discovered that the glass appeared to be slightly oversized, preventing the frame corners from closing completely. Rather than attempting to modify the glass, I used a black Sharpie to color the exposed corners of the mat. The fix worked surprisingly well and made the issue virtually unnoticeable.

I informed Art.com of the solution and explained that I didn't think a replacement would necessarily be any better, but that a full refund seemed excessive given that I was happy with the final result. I suggested a partial refund instead. They told me they don't offer partial refunds, so I accepted the full refund they offered.

The bottom line: quality control could be better, especially considering the price, but Art.com's customer service was excellent. If something arrives with an issue, they stand behind their products and make it right.

They quickly fixed my mistake!

The first time I placed an order I incorrectly measured the print that I needed. Staff. There was extremely helpful and quickly sent me the proper print. Excellent service online.

2nd order prints bent from poor…

2nd order prints bent from poor handling. My framer did not even want to frame one because she said the bent paper will never lay properly.

So disappointing.

The print was perfect! I'm not.

Everything was perfect! Thick paper and perfect color as well as print quality. I couldn't have been happier with the print I chose.

Unfortunately, i didn't care at all for the print colors of the first art print so ordered another print, which I love. I watched a YouTube video on how to use Modpodge to make a print look like a painting and I destroyed the second gorgeous print so I've just purchased a third one that's exactly like the second. What a wasteful dope I've been!

I'm planning to be very careful with the third one and not alter it at all. Again, the prints I received were extremely well done and on beautiful paper. Also, the packaging was nicely done in a thick tube and then encased in a box so there was little chance it could have been damaged. I received these timely, as well.
