In general a very good experience as my first private lease. I used to have my company cars through Arval so knew the company well. So very pleased when I saw it was them doing my first EV private lease.

This is the second vehicle leased through Arval. My experience has been excellent throughout and any ad-hoc support has only been a phone call away.
The ordering and delivery process via the portal is a great customer experience.

Only had the car a week and so far so good. First time leasing and therefore only a trial with this company and so have no complaints. They are keeping me up to date with procedures and I hope this will be a long relationship.

Avoid. Extremely poor end-of-contract handling and complaints process. I formally disputed an excess mileage charge, raised a complaint, and was told the matter was under investigation, yet despite this they went ahead and took the payment anyway. This was done without a final response, without consent, and contrary to basic complaints handling protocol. Multiple emails chasing clarity and requesting the charge be put on hold were ignored. The buyout process itself was misleading, with mileage already reflected in the purchase price and confirmed by an untrained staff member over the phone, yet charged again separately. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and disregard for their own complaint procedures is unacceptable. Would not recommend dealing with them, especially at end of contract.

Avoid Arval like a pest especially when you have a maintanance package! There people are a bunch of lazy amateurs who mastered how to fob people off! You pay for the maintanance every month just for them not to authorise the tyres! That was the first ever claim i have put in! The car was used so wasn't even supplied with a set of new tyres, I drove within a year just over 2000 miles and yet they still refused to replace a tyre which has a tread of 1.9mm! They said it must be below the legal limit. My contract contains PREMIUM tyres and there is absolutely no mention of any limits to the tread. The cas is going back to them in 3 week and I now have to check like maybe every two days or so if I am not below the legal limit! If I am on the day of collection they will abort the collection! Greedy vultures and nothing but! First they send you an email with the confirmation of your collection, then 2 days later another one that the collection could not be scheduled because they don't recognise my reg number! Never again! I don't recommend them and I don't recommed their partner Select Car leasing, especially their sales advisor a pricess Melanie Nice. Melanie is nice only when she wants to make a sales, once she did, she do not care and Arval are the same. Just avoid!
UPDATE! They said in their response to this review, that they had sent me an email! Guess what, they did not! Not a word from them, all the responsed here are just to shut people up, and still NO help from them!

Overall a very good experience with Arval would definitely consider them for any future lease. Information was clear. Only downside from my experience was the length of time it took to have a puncture repair on my driveway. Almost a week with no car.

I am nearing the end of my contract and, unfortunately, my experience with Arval has been consistently poor. If you value proactive communication and accurate information, I would advise looking elsewhere.
Key Issues Experienced:
Proactive Communication: I have spent a significant amount of time chasing updates. When I do receive a response, the tone is often dismissive and, in several instances, the information provided was factually incorrect.
Major Ordering Failures: On my last vehicle, I was told the lead time was 3 months. After 3 months, I called for an update only to find the order hadn't even been placed. I eventually had to go directly to the dealer myself to get accurate progress reports. What should have been a 3-month wait turned into 13 months.
Inaccurate Lead Time Advice: Despite the previous issues, I tried to get ahead of my next order. I was told a generic "6 months before end of contract" rule, despite multiple dealers confirming an 8-month minimum lead time for that manufacturer. Being told "fleet gets priority" is a deflection that doesn't align with current manufacturing reality.
Difficulty Accessing Stock Information: Obtaining the "quick delivery list" was a struggle. When I finally received it and enquired about a car, I was told it was unavailable, yet it remained on the list for weeks afterward.
Pricing: Their monthly rentals are notably higher than competitors like Tusker for the same vehicles.
Final Verdict: The lack of transparency and the "fobbing off" of customer concerns is exhausting. For a company handling such high-value assets, the customer care is simply not up to standard.

Lease vehicle, Santa Fe hybrid from new 4 steering breakdown failures in 2.5 years. Overall 11 + months in garages for repairs. Notify repeatedly of issues either slow response or no reply from customer services.
Issues started October 2023.
12 months upfront payment made.
Monthly cost circa £660 plus servicing plan.
2.5 years in mileage only 24K, should be in the region of 45K.
Disinterested suggest I pay out contract to terminate the agreement despite all the same warranty issue for a vehicle not fit for purpose & a serious failure. Each time steering locked up whilst driving. Risk to my & passengers safety.
Mugged off.
Passed from person to person.
Lost income as a result of breakdowns.
Endless frustration.

I leased my car through Arval in 2024 on a two year deal and have never had any issues so recently extended the contract for an additional year.
Their customer service team are really easy to get hold of and do everything they can to provide advice and to answer any queries promptly.
My contract includes maintenance and I recently needed to contact them as one of my tyres had a puncture. They provided me with options to have the repair carried out such as an ‘on the drive’ repair or local garages. I chose what I wanted to do and they just sorted it out.
I’ve been really please with their service, responsiveness and value for money.

My Maxus Truck has now been off the road for 5 weeks, it is now at it’s third Arval approved garage (getting further away by the garage) with no resolution in site and not a bit of work done to the vehicle. Each garage states the same issue and claims they cannot carry out the work on the vehicle.
The team promise to call back to update me but I end up spending hours a week on the phone trying to get an update.
Have emailed through a complaint and not so much as an acknowledgement, have also complained over the phone on numerous occasions with zero resolve.
Very disappointed with the service received and am paying for a vehicle which is redundant. No courtesy car provided and no compensation.

This review is only a 1 because of the final month. I had asked to end the plan and sorted a final settlement for the last month of the actual contract. Thats 4 weeks early and the car was wah under mileage. Due to a problem i was unable to pay the very last payment at the time.. Every other payment on time. I then received a barage of threats of collection. Even a customer service person said what she will set up will have an effect on your credit score. This was asmall amount, I had been made redundant , and i asked politelyfor ghem to defer for about 3 weeks until my settlement was paid. Instead i was told that i would continue to be harrassed with no agreement. What company in todays societytreats good customers this way??? Answer : Arval
