I purchased mine and my fiancé’s wedding outfits from Asopalav because they’re advertised as the best in India for ethnic wear. Being in the UK I decided to pay a bit extra for guaranteed quality. However here is where I was wrong.
My fiancé’s outfit has been stitched incorrectly. He is unable to close the buttons of his own Shrewani, he cannot raise his hands, the arm hole is too small so it’s tight under the armpit and finally he cannot stretch his arm out.
We reached out multiple times for over a week now and the representative was not helpful at all. He started to ignore our calls and messages. My mum got through to the manager who kept saying he’ll ask the representative to get in contact.
Here was the solutions:
1. Sorry we can’t do anything as the order has been made to measure
2. Send it back at your cost, do not send it directly to Asopalav as it will cost more and potentially get held up in customs
3. Send it to a local address but if it gets lost it is not their responsibility
4. Sorry we cannot offer a subsidised refund
We’ve spent a lot of money with Asopalav and this is unacceptable. Even spent multiple videos explaining the mistakes. Looking back at the measurements sent Asopalav did not ask for armhole measurements and this is where the issue is.
If this wasn’t my wedding I would’ve let it go. Getting married in April and I am worried that if I send it back it will get lost or the outfit won’t come back in time.
