Scammers, Fraudsters ,dishonest and con artists working in ASTON BARCLAY AUCTION, AA report total misleading, selling faulty/scrap vehicle in auctions, run as far as possible from this ASTON BARCLAY CAR AUCTIONS.
Government or TRADING STANDARD Agencies must take actions to STOP CHEATING TO PUBLIC by Aston Barlays auctioneers, ALL BRANCHES FULL OF FRAUDSTERS

We purchased a Ford Focus EcoBoost 2012 reg for our son. Paid nearly 5k.The report said it needs a fluid cap replacing. Since we purchased car in January, while driving it has stopped 9 times, Engine malfunction. Son is refusing to drive the car. I would never buy a car from auction again...is money down the drain. Dont trust the reports. Very disappointed with the car and Aston Barclays Chelmsford. It's a rip off.

Nice cars but I advise taking a jerry can of fuel along with you or a recovery truck...

Collected a car today it ran out of fuel before I even left there property. Even tho they drain the fuel from the cars they refused to help.. they did however go on to say I could buy 5litre of petrol from them at the cost of £25 Plus vat..

Bca and manheim will both provide you with atleast enough fuel to get you to the fuel station.

Purchased a 20k Vehicle online after reading the description it was not mentioned anywhere the Vehicle had mechanical issues in the actual report nore was the picture shown of the car with engine management lights on dashboard.. After hammer I called them to arrange delivery and they stated can't be driven onto ramp "I was like what???" nowhere did the auctioneer mention online the Vehicle engine faults engine management lights and just its age and mileage and nice car!! Upon the shocking suprise while on call for delivery I refused to take the car due to misleading information to which they are saying its written hidden away in the AA report.. I've been purchasing cars for many years from these guys and had previous issues before with misleading information and incorrect mileages where their tick list confirms genuine mileage!

Its clear they are mileading people to achieve sales with fake bids, incorrect information online and fooling the online buyers by not mentioning HIGHLY IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!

This is fraudulent activity and have been reported to a higher department for investigation

First one vw passat have temperature coolant sensor fault looking like head gasket problems and dirty interior
And another one mercedes e350
16 plate for nearly 20 k
And is after dog and gearbox problems

Now they are back to usual physical sales it gives you the option to check cars which is great but watch out for AA ASSURED and do not be fooled..They have AA ASSURED and AA Assured LITE..ASSURED is test driven and checked vehicle with listed stuff and yes you can claim but LITE is just the Essential Check basically to give you just an idea about the general mechanical condition of the vehicle but NO CLAIMS..So check the reports before blaming because AB staff are pretty friendly lot.

Still though unless you are buying a £10k plus car expect some work to do.£8500 Mercedes Convertible AA ASSURED says belt noise in fact a chain noise Mercedes dont have 1.8 CGI belt driven engines.CLUELESS.

Buyer beware, even if the car has a aa assured sticker this does not mean a comprehensive road test of the vehicle was done only a tick box exercise while sitting with the engine running in a car park. Not worth the paper there written on. you only have to look at Trustpilot reviews to see the poor customer experience. If they are going to offer some sort of warranty the vehicle should be checked properly that means driven on normal roads. people will pay for a decent warranty, which this one fails by a long way. My story, car shudders in 1st gear reported it within the allotted time. Initial claim was dismissed because we could not show or hear the gearbox shudder, we appealed and an AA visit was arranged which was subsequently cancelled as the obviously didn't read the appeal properly, visit was reinstated after a sharp email, AA engineer turned up without warning, which they said we would get, run the car up and down the road, accepted there was an obvious problem, said very unlikely to get that fixed, don't buy from auctions, filled in a report on his mobile and went, he was here all of 10 mins, didn't even turn his vehicle off, and amazingly less the 24hrs later the email arrives with claimed refused, what a surprise.

Exceptionally bad experience. The AA reviews are misleading. Engine blew up within 20 miles, auction didn't want to know even though was assured. I would advise customers to be extremely cautious.

Stay well clear from this auction they sold us a car with full assurance and clearly the gearbox is nearly falling out but because the noise come after 10mph there refused the claim and this is a £20k car we have stoped buying off them and as a trader would recommend the same for everyone as lately all the cars coming from them have showed faults after coming out of there like they have been resetting the lights with a plug-in machine

BIDDING ONLINE WE WON A VAN, CALLED TO CONFIRM, WOMAN CONFIRMED WED WON IT. THEN A CALL BACK TO SAY WE HADNT WON IT! OBVIOUSLY SOMEONE WANTED TO PAY MORE OUT OF THE BACK DOOR. WHAT A LOAD OF BULL. SOME FIDDLE GOING ON IN THIS AUCTION HALL WITH THE STAFF

Since Lockdown they are online only and its been nightmare. Every car we buy is a surprise. They are not inspecting the cars properly.
Almost all of them have engine lights on for some reason and these are not mentioned at all. And damage reports are a joke.
Avoid and save £££££
