Although I may not explore all of the sophisticated features of my new hearing aids until I get used to the basic functions, I have already found that the music setting is amazing. My hearing loss has made me avoid socialising but I am now feeling more confident. Many thanks to Rosie for the encouragement I needed.

Hidden hearing (now Audika) are i think the most professional and user friendly group .The main thing is the show you the inside of your ear on a screen. so you can exactly see if the ear drum is blocked and if the wax is at a therapeutic level (apparently you don't remove all the wax as it blocks dust and infection.)
They give you an app for your phone the truth is the speaker in the hearing aid are pretty much the same but you pay for the software. Audika keeps you in control with 4 settings to boost left and right ear (ie use speech and noise to hear people when the TV is on) the app also has a find lost hearing aid which can limit your search to a part of the room and at least you know it is in the room.
Rosie , the Audiologist of Bristol very cleverly worked out that my left ear was smaller than the right ear (ie not my fault for not cleaning them thoroughly) she suggested smaller domes which solves and alters a big part of my use of the aids.
Finally the ear phones plug into my Bluetooth Spotify on my phone. So no more clunky headphones for me.. although the quality isn't as good as can get initial setup breaks in music, but if you get through that it is much better than head phones
They are friendly and professional and always offer me a cup of tea.

Just attended my annul check-up and found Rosie efficient and informative as usual and that combined with a lovely personality was a bonus for me. A secondary appointment for wax removal was carried out very professionally by Abbey.

This was a very competent and thorough audiology check. Each step was clearly explained and the aids on offer well demonstrated. Cannot be faulted.

Having mistakenly gone for my appointment on the wrong day, I was still given excellent treatment as they went out of their way to fit me in.

Previous to my appointment I suffered from an ear infection, Rosie adjusted my hearing aids taking the infection in account of that, my recent appointment was to readjust after the infection was cured. Very patiently Rosie put everything back on track. Many thanks Rosie.
