I had such a positive experience at the Autism workshop with Faria. She is a beacon of knowledge when it comes to Autism. Faria would use personal scenarios to explain and I personally feel that helps the other person understand things much better. I have reached out to my son's school to see if they can get some of their teachers on this as I think its extremely useful for everyone. Would highly recommend to parents, older siblings, teachers and other health care professionals 👌

In case there is a statement saying that I haven't purchased the book I persuaded the SEND school where I work to purchase it as personally I didn't need it but was interested professionally.
So to the book - short easy read, with clear well thought out instructions.
From my years of working in the SEND school I believe that you get a feeling when a child is 'ready' to be toilet trained. But if they are not ready, then whether this method would succeed I am not sure BUT it might just be what is needed to start to get the Idea of what going to the toilet is all about.
The premise is to make them comfortable with sitting on the toilet and reward them for anything that happens. It is a well thought out approach, is child focused and draws on personal experience of toilet training her daughter who has ASD. It is an intensive programme that you have to follow and I believe that the author agrees that it is something that is best tried during school holidays. I believe it would not be easy if other young siblings were in need of your attention as the focus has to be mainly on the person with ASD /SEND as it involves timers giving short intervals between toilet visits at first. If you are willing to put in the hard work and follow the guidelines I am sure it would work, maybe recruit help or think about holidays clubs to take care of siblings if you have them.

We have a wonderful experience working with Fariah.She assisted and supported us throughout on a challenging and stressful appeal process for my child’s DLA claim. Although, we nearly gave up on that but Fariah guided us to the process and helped us do all the right things that made a rather impossible task successful. Many thanks Fariah you are the best:)

I found this book very informative with clear guidance on toilet training a child with autism or additional needs . Faria has an excellent understanding of behavioural therapy and has explained the importance of planning and consistency. The format is accessible and the book provides useful resources .

I recently attended Faria’s online toilet training course after buying her book. I am a Speech and Language Therapist and was interested to learn more about this topic as I work with lots of children who need help in this area. Faria delivers this course in really clear, easy to follow steps. She is able to give so much valuable advice and comfort to parents through her lived experiences, I found that she balanced this really well with the need to know theory behind this approach. Faria took time in the course to help each parent to practically think how they will apply this with their children. I now have a much better understanding of toilet training and that it really is possible for all children! I would recommend this course to anyone looking to toilet train their child.

The autism workshop was delivered in a clear and engaging manner with relevant information and all questions answered in a supportive way. Excellent workshop with much to take away and implement.

I attended Faria's toilet training online workshop recently. I found Faria to be clear, concise and informative. I hope to toilet train my son in a few months and Faria was kind enough to offer me to take part in a refresher workshop, closer to the time. I was anxious on how to toilet train my son who is non verbal and since attending the workshop I am hopeful that it's possible.

My little one is fully potty trained i am a jolly happy mother😜😜😜Faria's approach using the the timer ⏲️ certainly did wonders.

I have attend the toilet training workshop, and I must say that it was the most helpful, clear and concise method I have come across. I actually took the workshop twice just to refresh before I actually started the process.

I waited until the 6 week break as my son was due to start school in September. I prepared mentally, as well as everything around the house. I got all the items suggested by Faria and prepped the rest of the family. I used the method down to the T!

Day one we had 17 accidents
Day two we had 12
Day three we had 2 but the way it all fell into place by day 7 I was amazed(also relieved!).
My son (4 years old) was set in a routine and the process was set in his mind.

By week 4 he didn’t use the timer as he was going at his own time I still had it on (due to the non-verbal nature of this method he didn’t expect or rely on any queue).
Just before school started we had a week of no timer, and it worked! I’m not saying every day was perfect. We had maybe one or two accidents in the last 3 weeks.

But Alhamdulillah! He is now fully toilet trained during the day, no prompts or timers, he goes when he needs to. I can’t thank Faria enough for her efforts of putting together this workshop and the book! I would fully recommend this workshop and the book to whoever may be struggling with training their child, or just about to start the journey like I was. I needed guidance and help in this process I was desperate for it all to go well. I prayed to Allah swt and he guided me to Faria and her workshop which she set up online for me! Alhamdulillah I was so grateful. It’s such a big load off your shoulders when it’s done! Cannot thank Faria enough xx

I was introduced to Faria by my friend who recommended toilet training workshop for kids with autism. I got in touch with Faria who was very welcoming and helpful. This online workshop is the one that actually helped me! It was well structured, well explained and steps were so easy to understand and follow. Faria’s book ‘ Toilet Training for Autistic & SEND children and adults’ is an excellent and supportive book during this journey of toilet training. I highly recommend Faria’s online workshop and her book which together has helped me with my speech delayed child. My child has followed Faria’s steps really well and he is doing great. So thank you Faria for all your support and help for parents with autistic children!

Faria was brilliant! She was clear with the steps and explanations as to why the toileting needs to be set up in such a structured way. It was refreshing hearing lived and breathed experience of other parents in similar situations with their loved ones. It's a struggle that goes unnoticed and the advice from other professionals can sometimes cause more stress and harm to child or adult with additional needs. Faria's suggestions go in hand with some of the strategies that I have started to put in place. Her strategies are easily adaptable to suit whoevers needs with a bit of planning ahead. I wasn't aware that there was resources available to buy. I have been informing parents that her book is available online to purchase. However, I feel that alongside purchasing the book attending the workshop and experiencing Faria's enthusiasm and energy on the subject will give you that extra motivation to attempt the toileting again with a clear step by step guide.

Such a fantastic read, very well written and the toilet training steps are easy to follow. This book is extremely empowering for parents and cares. I can see this book helping so many children in need & their families. Fantastic insight into autism and it’s learning approach. Definitely will be recommending this book to my friends who have kids with additional needs.

I am so glad I came across Faria's book about toilet training children with autism and additional support needs! Faria even offered a FREE two hour session to explain in detail how to go about toilet training and the best ways to go about it. She actually spent longer than 2 hours on the video-call just to make sure that everyone's questions were answered. Her method is very simple and easy to follow. Faria has first hand experience in this and she offers support that other healthcare workers cannot. I got wishy-washy advice from well-meaning healthcare workers but Faria was able to go into the nitty-gritty detail of what to do and what not to do. She is incredibly helpful and non-judgmental. She is always happy to answer questions. I highly recommend Faria to any parent who is struggling with toilet training or who has no idea where to start or how to go about it.
