Nice concept but so far does not work at all. 4 events and non have activated the battery to discharge
It's been 2 weeks and I've not received any response from axle grid services. Therefore completely redundant system. Events are not that frequent so they really need to be able to have a working support setup.

For a service in active development and effectively a beta product Axle provide excellent communication and support and are working hard to deliver a seamless experience across multiple battery platforms. What's not to like?

My experience has been first class. This is a beta but they've steadily ironed out the early issues and it works seamlessly now. I'm only using the events-only option (rather than full optimisation) but it's proving excellent with my Fox kit. I also feel like I'm doing some good for the power grid whilst also making a bit of income to offset the cost of my batteries. I hope it continues to offer the same service as more people join.

They do what they say on the can. £1 per kw exported when you agree to them taking control of your battery for the 1 hour events. I have found they respond to support emails fairly quickly. I have no complaints and recommend them.

I’ve found the experience difficult due configuring difficulties with my self install Solis Hybrid.
The principle, disregard the ££ is superb, aid the grid to improve reliability to all.

Effortless to earn money from your solar installation

In addition to paying my GivEnergy Premium Subscription, it pays £1 /hr for energy exported during an event. I've made £37.46 between 1st June and 19th August without having done anything, other than ensuringthat my battery is well charged before an event. At this time of year, my panels ensure that is the case if the eventis in the morning, and my habit of fully charging overnight on cheap Octopus Go tariff. That is in addition to the 12p/unit from Octopus for energy exported. It takes control of the inverter forthe event and then resets back to previous settings afterwards. Simples.

I've only been participating in the Axle Energy "Virtual Power Plant" (VPP) regime for a couple of months, but I've already earned £65 by exporting power from my Home Storage Battery when Axle Energy deemed it necessary to support the grid.

So if you have a compatible home storage battery (check Axle Energy's website for more details) that you're willing to allow Axle Energy to draw from when the grid is under strain, why would you not participate?

It's all done automatically, without the need for any input from you. And you get paid £1 for every kWh that you export, which is far greater than it costs to charge your battery, even at peak rates.

Have GivEnergy batteries. Straightforward. Settlement prompt.

Yesterday there was an event that I was not notified about and when I tried to contact you about it this morning the chat bot told me upcomimg events were on the upcoming events list. I checked this list and it said there no upcoming events so why is there another one going on right now??!! Someone was supposed to contact me tody but i have heard nothing. I am not happy about this!

Clear honest , fast payment and easy peasy.

On a couple of occasions, after a Grid download event, my solar system failed to operate correctly. Rather than the solar panels feeding my solar battery the energy was sent to The Grid. A loss to my system at a time when it performs best.
I informed Axle that I am not qualified to reset the system when such an incident occurs and am ceasing my involvement with Axle energy events.

Joining Axle's VPP is a great way of improving the return on the solar and battery investment. Easy to join and take part in events with great support if needed.

You are not taking from the battery as you say

Axle are exploring how to play a really important role in grid flexibility through demand flexibility and VPP. I’ve participated in VPP grid events and also the Electric Car beta test. It has all worked smoothly to me and Axle have been quick to answer questions or acknowledge feedback. Payments and ability to withdraw payments all happens very smoothly. Great to participate in this effort and they make it really easy.

First time ever i am experiencing a 3rd party company being so professional !
Communications are very clear ! Emails are easy to read, no jargons, replies are quick.
Getting £1/kwh is good compared to 12p from Octopus.
Money being paid into account along with a simple email of how much been taken and how much earned.
So all good 5/5

These guys are so refreshing - we get to help the grid and get paid for our export at a much better rate than octopus or anyone else will. Super easy to make some money to help pay back your solar / battery install :-)

Easy to sign up and they do what they say - has now worked reliably for over 2 months on my GivEnergy Inverter/battery scheduled with Wonder Watt.

Get your batteries to do a little bit on the side. Most systems are covered. Axle looks after the settings and reverse them once finished.🤓
