Ordered herman miller sayl chair. Advertised as free shipping.

Got a call from Martin the following morning saying that he would need to charge me £40 to send the chair as i lived in Scotland.

Note there was no mention of this shipping charge prior to placing any order and we are in 2023 a website should be able to calculate shipping based on a postcode !!

I appreciate that this is a big item and will cost to send it but i do not expect a phone calls from a company asking for more money via a link that they will send me to click on.......rang alarm bells to me.

I have my receipt which confirms shipping is free and the address its being shipped to.

I would probably still have bought the item if shipping had been stated on the invoice, but certainly not as an additional request like this. This is a very bad practise.

I went to order it again to make sure i have not missed something but no mention of any additional shipping costs before you click the place order button.

I would avoid as misleading

Very helpful on the phone, simple online order, delivery was really quick and chair arrived fully set up with no boxes for me to get rid of.

I rarely write reviews but said I have to do this one. Ted is just amazing, the customer service of this company is just excellent, 5 star service and second to none. I have had my Aeron chair for a few years and the few times I have had issues with it, they resolved without question. Just want to express my appreciation for the excellent service.

Goods delivered on time. But there are some marks on the foot of the chair, which cannot be cleaned.

We made an appointment to view chairs at Back2. The location was a disused pub that had been converted to a warehouse. Our host was very knowledgeable and recommended appropriate seating. Once we had ordered the delivery was swift, almost next day. We were not in and the delivery man kindly waited a few minutes until a neighbour could take delivery of the chair. Only knocked a star off because the website couldn't take my order via my phone and I had to do the order on a proper computer.

The office chair was well-described and communication after the order was good. I called to amend the delivery time (then to check on something else) and both times I reached a helpful person on the phone without delay - customer service is definitely good.

I would like to find something to moan about - but can't. Excellent service, lovely product came on time as promised, and yes can thoroughly recommend.
