First time Buyer
I came a cross "Back to the Office" by mistake, and saw that they had the Pc monitor i was after for the last few weeks available.
After a few questions with Jamie regarding warranty , i went ahead and order the monitor.
It was delivered next day. Haven't had time yet to use it, waiting for the weekend.
So glad i came across this company by mistake, as their service is brilliant, customer service is amazing too.

Battery powered supplied without the advertised battery
I ordered a Makita battery hedge trimmer, it was advertised with the battery........ obviously, it would be useless without a battery. It's been delivered and no battery is present.
I have had a reply, Back to the Office state the advert said no battery. Earlier today before this review I checked and the battery was still clearly present in the pictures, amazingly, since my complaint I have checked again and the pictures now show the battery not present. Very underhand.

We’re very sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with your order and the experience you’ve had. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify the situation in full, as transparency is extremely important to us.
The product you purchased — the Makita DUN461WZ 18V Li-ion LXT 46cm Pole Hedge Trimmer — has always been listed on our website with the title and product description clearly stating “Batteries and Charger Not Included”. This wording has never been altered since the listing was first published.
The photographs originally shown on our listing came directly from Makita’s official marketing materials, which are the same as those used by many other UK suppliers for this model. These original images displayed the trimmer with a solid battery in place. While this was intended by Makita for illustrative purposes only, we do recognise that it could understandably be interpreted as meaning a battery was supplied.
After you brought this to our attention in your email, we reviewed the imagery and updated it to show the tool without a battery to make it much clearer for future customers. This change was mentioned in our email conversation with you at the time. The product text itself was never changed — only the photographs — and at no point did we intend to mislead.
In addition to the title and description, our product page also includes customer reviews from previous buyers, one of which specifically states:
“Well made, light and easy/efficient to use. Remember that it needs a Makita 18V battery if you do not have one already.”
This was available to view before purchase and could have been a helpful point of reference, as would reaching out to us directly if you were unsure about the inclusions. We’re always happy to confirm product details before an order is placed.
With regard to pricing, you mentioned that we were £7 more expensive than elsewhere. However, when we checked against other reputable UK retailers for the same bare unit at the time of your purchase, our price of £144.99 was actually the lowest available, with similar listings ranging from £159 to £176. We always aim to remain competitively priced and offer value alongside fast delivery and customer support.
We understand that this has still been a frustrating experience for you, and we have offered options to resolve the matter, including covering the return postage for a full refund or helping source a compatible Makita battery at a competitive price. Our aim is always to work with our customers to find a satisfactory resolution.
We’re a small business and take all feedback seriously — even when it’s critical — as it helps us improve our service and avoid similar misunderstandings in the future. We regret that you feel the experience has been “underhand” and hope this response reassures you that our intention was never to mislead, but to provide accurate product information in line with the manufacturer’s specifications.

I put in an order for a new monitor on…
I put in an order for a new monitor on the 03/08/2025 & it is now 11/08/2025 and still no monitor. Hardly 3 to 5 days delivery is it?
When i contacted the company i got some Neanderthal saying it was delayed and the usual sorry, but it could still take another two days to get here.
There was no offer of a faster delivery as it was already late.
When asked about a refund, i was told the monitor had already been dispatched, so why didn't i get it on time? Strange that it hadn't been dispatched the first time i contacted the company (approximately five minutes beforehand)
So, my opinion of the company is not very good or to put it another way, BttO are effing useless as far as i am concerned. Definitely NOT a happy customer.

Service you don't often get these days
First time I have used 'Back to the Office' and I was very impressed (and I am not easy to impress). Needed an Epson A3+ printer for a client's print run and Jamie took my order after 4.30pm, and ensured it was shipped for next day delivery. It arrived the very next morning at 10am. Wow, great service which meant I could make my Client happy and I didn't have to work all weekend to fulfil the order. Will use again and can't praise them enough.
And the price was very competitive. Thanks "Back to the Office" and especially Jamie.

Rug doctor bundle
I ordered the rug doctor bundle on 2nd July at 9.31am. It was delivered on July 3rd at 13.25pm, on standard delivery may I add, which was a bonus. Great communication via email about shipping updates ect. It was easy to order and although I have not used it yet, the product and cleaning supplies included all look great. Fingers crossed it all works fine when I use it tomorrow, but so far, everything from ordering to delivery is 5 stars.
