I bought a handbag from Balaan and…

I bought a miumiu handbag from Balaan and their website the duty and tax are included in the price. But after the bag has been delivered, fedex is keeping requesting me 700 usd for duties. I have sent email and used chat feature on the website for a month but nobody answered me back. I am very disappointed and really wanted Balaan to resolve my duty issues.

AVOID, they do not have the products

Ordered a bag from Balaan. Two days later, yet to hear if my order was processed. As I needed the bag sooner than later, I wrote in to enquire about the delay in processing the order and that I might have to cancel if the item was not processed. Customer service proceeded to cancel the order without consulting me and the item is no longer listed on the website. One really wonders if they even had the product in the first place. It was an old SKU and Balaan originally listed that they had two in stock but apparently both disappeared after I purchased it.

Have yet to receive my refund but even if I do, I would have paid a 5% FX transaction fee to my bank and got nothing in return.

*Edited* Sold me an item that was "out of stock"…

Sold me an item that was "out of stock" and then did not refund the full amount I paid. I am out of pocket because of their mistake. Patronising customer service just stopped replying after I showed screenshots and proof of the issue.

EDIT: After I posted this review they issued a second refund to make up the full amount I had paid. Fees should be covered by them when they are the ones cancelling an order. If their policy has actually changed then I would shop with them, but I am not overly impressed with the process.

I was a bit skeptical with some mixed reviews out there, but my personal experience has been great.

I’ve ordered from Balaan twice. One was a Gucci belt, just like what I bought from department stores but 45% cheaper, and the other was a Fendi jacket. Both came in good condition and were 100% real.

Scammed for 1600

I purchased a bag in September 16 and they claimed that they don’t have it in stock yet. They do not refund me. They charge my credit card like five times. There is a transaction that they are refusing to refund. They’re not responding to me anymore. They took the money and ran away. Do not shop here. Do not shop here. I have emailed them multiple times. They are refusing to refund an order they cannot fulfill.

Dodgy platform

Dodgy platform, do not buy. Ordered a pair of Margiela Tabis that were marginally cheaper than other websites. Received a shipment notification 5 days after the purchase but the tracking didn’t update from “label created” for 4 days after. Contacted Balaan via the chat (no response), WhatsApp (their number is inactive) and sent an email but received no response as to why the package hasn’t been handed over to FedEx. Then all of the sudden received a refund on PayPal and a email to say that the item is not in stock.
Don’t bother with this website if you actually want the product. The communication is really poor and their response is very slow.

ON JUNE 4TH, 2024 I ORDERED A NEEDLES TRACK JACKET FROM THIS COMPANY, AND PAID USD$198.00 PLUS USD$45 FOR SHIPPING FROM KOREA,

I ALREADY OWNED 2 OF THIS JACKET IN DIFFERENT COLORS THAT I PURCHASED IN MILAN ITALY.

THE DESIGNER OF THIS JACKET (NEPENTHES) ONLY MANUFACTURE THEIR CLOTHING IN JAPAN. THEY DO NOT MAKE ANY OF THEIR CLOTHING IN CHINA.

I CALLED THE DESIGNER'S (NEPENTHES) OFFICE IN NEW YORK TO VERIFY THAT NONE OF THEIR CLOTHING ARE MADE IN CHINA. THE REPRESENTATIVE I SPOKE TO MADE IT CLEAR TO ME THAT NONE OF THEIR PRODUCTS ARE MADE IN CHINA.

TWO WEEKS AFTER PLACING MY ORDER WITH BALAAN, I RECEIVED THE JACKET.

AS SOON AS I OPENED THE JACKET IT WAS OBVIOUS THAT IT WAS FAKE.

THE TAG INSIDE THE JACKET SAID "MADE IN CHINA," AND THE SEWING ON THE JACKET WAS CROOKED AND FALLING OFF THE JACKET. THE MATERIAL WAS CHEAP AND THE ZIP WAS MADE OF PLASTIC, UNLIKE THE ZIP ON THE AUTHENTIC JACKETS THAT I ORDERED FROM ITALY.

I COMPARED THE FAKE BALAAN JACKET TO MY AUTHENTIC JACKETS AND THE CLOTH MATERIAL, THE ZIPPER, AND THE SEWING WERE ALL DIFFERENT FROM THE AUTHENTIC NEEDLES JACKET.

I SENT BALAAN MORE THAN 20 MESSAGES ASKING THEM FOR A SHIPPING LABEL TO RETURN THEIR FAKE JACKET, BUT THEY DID NOT REPLY.

THEY NEVER REPLIED TO MY EMAILS UNTIL I FILED A CLAIM WITH PAYPAL.

THIS IS THE RESPONSE PAYPAL RECEIVED FROM BALAAN. I ALSO RECEIVED A COPY OF THEIR RESPONSE.

Incredible Experience

I was looking for a specific pair of shoes impossible to find everywhere, when I landed on their website! The company is Korean, so I wasn’t sure if was a legitimate business or was a scam site, a Korean website exists for the company Balaan.co.kr ! I decided to write their customer service to inquire about the .com version, and they kindly responded to me almost Immediately (I am in the States and they are in South Korea), and they confirmed that the .com version was their international website that they just launched. I then decided to try their service, and I cannot be happier than I did! Their service is impeccable, the product is immaculate and 100% original, it arrived in my home in less than 3 days, considering that I ordered it on Friday and was delivered on Wednesday, and moreover considering that the package arrived from literally the other side of the world! Their prices are super competitive, and you can find many gems that are unavailable in other places! I super recommend their site, and for sure I will buy from them again!
