I had several helmets so far among those there were ones made in China (higher class for the Russian market), made in Europe, etc.. and I can say this helmet got my attention when it was released, so I had to have it and try and... finally is here.

My first impressions are amazing, the weight, cut, texture/finish, and the pads are so comfortable it's unbelievable. I like the slightly higher cut which makes it more comfortable to wear headsets with headbands and mounts, and also wearing eye pro is easier since the helmet front doesn't push them down and you also have kind of more airflow which reduces possible fogging. Weighing around 1.36kg / 3lb makes it really light.

Regarding the harness, I didn't know what to expect since it's not a usual way to be attached with velcro but screws as usual. Well, I found out this is a much better way since you can place it where you want and you're not restricted to the positions of the holes and screws which makes it really adjustable for any needs and sizes. The only thing I would have to work on are the MLOK mounts for my headset, and helmet light since I had so far only arc rails on my helmets so I have to adapt on the new system for me. But as I have been told Ballistic Armor is preparing also to offer solutions for that so stay tuned :)

The side rails and NV mount are made of aluminium which I prefer above plastic ones, and my Wilcox L4G24 mount fits perfectly.

Customer support is almost non-existent. Rails on helmets are completely out of spec and unusable for any serious accessories such as helmet mounted lights or earmuffs. Bungees on rails broke the first night using them. I knew I should have gone with the Team Wendy bump helmet, however I wanted to support a small company. Won’t be happening in regards to kit ever again. Wouldn’t recommend helmet other than for working your neck out.

After a week of no shipping confirmation, i had to contact them to find out they didnt have the color i ordered. Then after choosing a different color they took almost another week to ship that. So much for "Order before noon for same day shipping".

Initial customer service wasn’t too great due to the company’s transition but the customer service follow up a few months later was truly exceptional. Thoroughly enjoyed the follow up and haven’t had a company personally direct me about a product I’ve purchased from them so i was indeed very impressed and satisfied with that.

First and foremost, the company has amazing customer service! I received my Gen 3 Bastion Helmet in Multicam and am blown away by the quality. A great investment in an American-made product. Very happy with my purchase and will do more business with Ballistic Armor Co.

I received a tracking number that was canceled a couple hours later. Can't reach customer service by phone or email. Just trying to find out if the order was canceled or if there will be another tracking number.

Customer Service reached out to me and explained the situation. I was given different options and I chose the best one for me. I had the helmet in my hands 2 days later.

The helmet feels good, not too heavy, but definitely not a bump helmet. It feels like my old Army helmet.

Purchased a ballistic helmet, I like how it fits and feels. Haven’t tested it yet fortunately but I’d be willing to test it and take a video if you want to send me another 😉. All jokes but product comares well to other helmets and is affordable.

Great company and a great product! I ordered helmets for my police department from them. Not only did they send out helmets to let us try before we made the purchase but they kept us informed every step of the way getting the new helmets to us. Very good customer service and a great helmet to go along with it. The newest helmet they offer are excellent the fit and finish are flawless. Very comfortable and light weight with good attachment components. Plus it’s now made in the USA!
