As the product had already been opened and used, we were unfortunately unable to accept a return or exchange in line with our hygiene and product safety policy. These measures are in place to protect all of our customers and ensure that returned beauty products remain safe and suitable for resale.

We would like to clarify that, based on your own review, you have never placed an order with Beautiebox, used our services, or had any direct customer experience with our business.

For that reason, we are concerned to see serious allegations such as “scam” and “fraudulent” being made about our company when they are not based on any personal transaction or first-hand experience with us.

We fully respect anyone’s decision about where they choose to shop, and we also understand that prospective customers may read reviews before making a purchase. However, reviews are most helpful and fair when they reflect a genuine experience with the business being reviewed.

We would, however, like to clarify a few points regarding the concerns raised in your review.

Prior to your review, we had not received a report from you advising us that any of the products purchased had caused damage or an adverse reaction to your skin. When this concern was subsequently raised, our customer service team asked for some additional information, including details of the reaction and when the issue had previously been reported to us. Unfortunately, we did not receive the information requested, which limited our ability to investigate the matter fully.

We also take any concerns regarding product authenticity extremely seriously. To provide further reassurance, we supplied you with evidence of our purchase from the manufacturer. We only aim to source and supply genuine products through appropriate supply channels, and we are always prepared to investigate any authenticity concerns brought to our attention.

We were particularly concerned to read your review because your most recent order also included a message expressing appreciation for us stocking genuine products and referring to your continued custom with us. Nevertheless, we fully appreciate that a customer’s experience or concerns can change, and we would still welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you further.

Customer safety and satisfaction remain very important to us. If you are willing to provide the additional information previously requested, our team would be happy to review the matter again and see whether there is anything further we can do to assist you.

When you contacted us regarding the leaking item, our team asked for photographs of the product, including the item in its sealed transparent packaging. This forms part of our return and refund process and helps us verify the condition of the item received, confirm the product supplied, and investigate the issue properly.

Our products are dispatched in labelled, sealed transparent packaging specifically to make the returns process clearer and easier for both the customer and our team.

To help resolve the matter, we also provided you with a prepaid return label so that the item could be returned to us at no additional cost. Once returned, we would have been able to inspect the product and assist you further in line with our returns and refund policy.

One of the face creams in your order was temporarily unavailable, so our customer service team contacted you by email to let you know and offered alternative variants that were available, so we could still fulfil your order as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately, we did not receive a response to our email before a dispute was raised with your payment provider. Following the dispute, the payment was refunded and the order could therefore no longer be completed.

We completely understand how disappointing it can be when an item you have ordered is unavailable, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
