A Total Nightmare – Avoid Best Price Travel at All Costs

​My 3-day, 2-night cruise booked through Best Price Travel was a total disaster. While the onboard staff were pleasant, the company’s management and the cruise’s condition were beyond unacceptable Garden Peak Cruise.
​The Reality vs. The Advertisement:
We booked based on advertised amenities—specifically a cabin with a working bathtub and hydrotube. We received neither. Our cabin flooded on Day 1, creating an electrical hazard. When we contacted our agent, Mia, we were told it was "fixed," only to find it was still broken. We were moved on Day 2 to a second cabin that was uncleaned, covered in mold, had no working fridge, and again, no working hydrotube.
​Lost Luggage & Safety:
To add to the stress, the cruise lost our luggage. This is a massive failure in basic travel management. We also felt unsafe due to the ongoing flooding near electrical fixtures and the unhygienic conditions (visible mold in the shower and toilet).
​Deceptive Itinerary:
The itinerary was underwhelming and misleading. The "pristine" swimming area was a beach covered in trash. There was an excessive amount of idle time on the boat—no squid fishing, no cooking classes, and a ridiculous 1.5 hours of swimming time for the entire 3-day trip.
​Terrible Customer Service:
Best Price Travel failed to provide the services contracted. When we sought remediation for the false advertising, lost luggage, and hazardous conditions, our agent simply told us to "rest and go to bed" and refused to offer any refund.
​Bottom line: Best Price Travel is a deceptive agency. They do not stand by their product, and they do not care about client safety or satisfaction. Do not trust them with your "dream trip."

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Best Price Travel and rate their service and professionalism five out five stars. Communication was exceptional from our initial enquiry and throughout our trip. Our contact at Best Price Travel was Hang Moon (Senior Travel Consultant and Sale Manager) who promptly answered our questions and ensured a seamless travel experience. We would definitely book with Best Price Travel again.

We booked their North & Centre Vietnam Unexplored Route 11 Days tour which allowed us to choose tour options for each day. We travelled as a couple in May 2026 and had an exclusive private tour with guides (except overnight cruise in Lan Han Bay). Our tour visited Hanoi, Nin Binh, Lan Han Bay and Hoi An. The local guides were all excellent and really enhanced our experience.

Overall cost we found competitive versus other tour companies and the booking process was easy. We used Best Price Travel primarily because they provided a flexible and tailored itinerary. We had not previously used this company and would highly recommend based on our experience.

Anna at BestPrice Travel made our experience unforgettable, she helped us with everything including organising decorations in our room to surprise my girlfriend. Peony Cruises were also phenomenal. This was an absolute 10/10. The crew onboard were also amazing, specifically Andrew who went above and beyond for my girlfriend's birthday.

Our contact was Rosie Nhung. She was responsive and professional. Everything well organised, I can definitely recommend her and BestPrice travel. 🙏🙂

Our experience with BestPrice Travel was excellent from beginning to end. The booking process was smooth, quick, and very well supported by our travel consultant (Hang/Moon), who was always available to assist us and answer any questions.

The trip exceeded our expectations in every way. The Orchid Trendy Cruise was wonderful — the cabin was comfortable, the food was delicious, the staff were extremely attentive, and the activities were very well organized. Everything ran perfectly, and we felt very well taken care of throughout the entire journey.

So pleased we used Best Price Travel as our travel partner for arranging all of our travel needs. We were assigned Mia Nguyen who worked with us throughout our adventure, she arranged bookings, payments, receipts and managed changes. Communication was first class and this left us able to put all our energy into the trip and not the inevitable travel issues. Would highly recommend.

We did the Indochina Delight (Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand) with Beach Escape 3 weeks. We had no idea of what we were getting in to. Hang Moon listened to our thoughts, and came back with an absolutely amazing tour. Her knowledge of the area, along with her helpfulness with Visa's, area hints, and immediate response to questions, put us at ease as we proceeded along the process of booking and confirming the trip. Every aspect of the tour was first class, yet a very reasonable price.The hotels were in the heart of each city, each with an amazing breakfast, most had spa like settings with pools, which were needed at the end of each day, in the heat. We were pampered on each tour, where each day seemed to surpass the previous day. I don't believe we could do that tour again, and be treated better than this tour. We will definitely use BestPrice Travel again.

My wife and have for a while always wanted to visit Vietnam. On searching for different tour companies I found the Vietnamese travel agent Bestpricetravel.com. BE AWARE it is not the Australian company Bestpricetravel.com.au which has bad reviews.

I was contacted by the lovely Rosie Nhung through WhatsApp who was excellent in helping us plan our 17 day Vietnam and Cambodia tour with the added flexibility of adding 2 extra days in Hanoi. The tour appears quite flexible and if you wanted to stay longer in places I’m sure it could be arranged.

The tour itself was fantastic and of course we saw many beautiful sites. But like every country you are only seeing a small part during your tour. I recommend that every visitor take a visit to the War Crimes section of the Ho Chi Minh War Museum. It is truely an emotional experience. Our first tour guide was Jerry, a wonderful and knowledgable young man and a pleasure to be with for such a short time. He is a credit to his employer.

Generally the tour guides and drivers were very good and the transport very comfortable. We chose the 3 star hotel package and the rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Some did have some minor maintenance issues so if you are fussy then you may prefer the 4 star package. The location of the hotels were excellent in their proximity to places such as nightlife activity.

The recommended tips are US$5 for the tour guide and US$3 for the driver per day for each person in your travel group. There people do not have high incomes and many work long hours sometimes spending days away from their families. Be generous in your tipping and I recommend you tip them separately as I asked one guide on two seperate days to split the generous tip with the driver. When talking to the driver later we found out that she had kept a substantial amount for herself. My error for being so trusting so we more than made up for the drivers shortfall as he was very deserving. Please note she was not a Bestpricetravel employee.

The people of Vietnam and Cambodia are very welcoming and friendly. Many of the older generation do not speak English but a wave and a smile means a thousand words despite the language barrier. Hopefully we will get to visit again in the near future.

I would most certainly recommend Rosie and Bestpricetravel.com to anyone. I have family in the UK and two friends here in Australia who wish to travel to Vietnam next year and hopefully they will have the same wonderfull experience as we had.

We booked a 2 day Cruise in Ha Long Bay via Rosie Nguyen of BestPrice Travel. Rosie was great from the start, easy to deal with and a great communicator. The Cruise (Orchid Cruises) was great, friendly helpfully staff, tidy rooms, great food, well run activities and beautiful scenery. Highly recommend.

Booked through Best Price Travel with Ms Hang Moon and cannot recommend highly enough. From start to finish she dealt with our booking very efficiently and responded to my emails and texts immediately, even when on board she checked we were enjoying everything and was there if needed. The River Boat Cruise on Toum Tiou II was excellent and we wouldn't change a thing. The preplanned itinerary was excellent with very knowledgeable and informative guides. All the crew on board couldn't do enough to ensure that you had a wonderful time. The food was superb at every meal. The Captain and his crew did a fantastic job getting us everywhere safely and on time.

Anna from Best Price Travel gave us great service, helping us pick the right Mekong cruise, and a final day tour in Angkor Wat. We like to pick a company from the country we are visiting, and this was absolutely the right decision. The cruise, Jayavarman on the Heritage Line, was superb and can't be faulted. So many lovely memories that it is hard to pick out any as being better than the others. We had been worried about paying so much to a company we hadn't heard of, but we needn't have been - Anna even met us when we arrived to ensure everything ran smoothly. Highly recommended.

We recently booked a Lan Ha Bay cruise through BestPrice Travel and it was an incredible experience. The boat was one of the newest and most modern in the bay, which really stood out compared to others. We stayed in an upgraded room and it was fantastic—spacious, clean, and with a great bathtub.

I want to give a special shout-out to Mia Nguyen BESTPRICE. We had a minor complication with our transfer from Ninh Binh (the bus company had a timing mix-up), but Mia handled it like a pro. She managed everything quickly and made sure we reached the boat on time, which saved our trip!

The activities were lovely, especially the rowing boat to see the monkeys and the morning Tai Chi. The food was good, and the guides on the boat were friendly and spoke great English. If you are looking for a reliable agency, ask for Mia!

From our initial contact with the Bestprice Travel representatives Hang Moon and throughout our 3 week trip to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand everything was great. Great experience of private tour for my husband and me in Cambodia for 10 days thanks to Best Price Travel & Hang (Moon)! Hang was professional, honest and provided us with a hassle-free travel.

The whole tour was personalised for our preferences and wishes, with Hang's expert advice. From the moment we stepped foot in Siem Reap (where the tour began) until we were taken to the airport in Phnom Penh, we had no worries, the tour ran really smoothly.

The tour guides spoke good English, were very knowledgeable, polite and fun, kept a pace matching us, and they asked for our preferences regarding lunch, timings, etc. The organisation was perfectly timed: as soon as we left a place, the driver was outside to take us to the next location.

There was still plenty of time for us to explore the cities on our own, and the tour guides had great tips for us on what to do, where to go, how to get a real taste of Cambodia.

The hotels were well chosen, all had breakfast, and breakfast was always great. The locations of the hotels were central. The cars were spacious and comfortable, and the drivers drove well and carefully.

Hang was in contact with us via WhatsApp the whole time, updating us when needed, solving any issues, even from a distance.

My next trip to Southeast Asia will be via Best Price with Hang, and I've recommended them to all my friends. Thanks!

Best Price Travel and Mekong Princess cruise 8 day cruise was absolutely fabulous. A highlight of my travels. I highly recommend both to all of my friends. It was wonderful. Staff was wonderful. The boat was wonderful. The excursions were wonderful. The whole thing was top notch. Also Anna at Best Price Travel was helpful in getting last minute visa corrections made so we could enter Vietnam.

We just finished our 7 day tour of Vietnam and I can’t rate it high enough, it was amazing. Hang had everything organised, selected brilliant tours to give us a taste of the cities and it was seamless, from tours to private transport and flights.

When we let her know that our flight in was delayed she rearranged things so that we could still be picked up and not miss our city tour. Her communication was always very clear and super responsive.
