I have now been accused of leaving a false review of this business?! I have been contacted by Trust Pilot and also by Blacks business brokers, I really wish I had not instructed this company to try and sell my business, terrible experience.
I am updating this review on 27th April, yesterday I received this email from Blacks Business Brokers:-
Dear Mrs Julie Haig
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to address a serious issue that has arisen regarding derogatory remarks made about our company. It has come to our attention that despite our the agreement with us and your full awareness of the terms therein, you have made false and damaging statements about our company, which have caused significant harm to our reputation and business.
As you are aware, our business relationship has been governed by a mutually agreed-upon agreement, which clearly outlines the terms and conditions under which we operate. This agreement was put in place to ensure transparency, trust, and mutual respect between our parties.
However, your recent actions, including the dissemination of defamatory remarks, constitute a clear breach of our agreement. Not only have these false statements caused reputational damage, but they have also resulted in financial losses and potential harm to our business relationships.
We are deeply disappointed by your disregard for our agreement and the harm caused by your actions. As a result, we are left with no choice but to formally claim damages for the breach of our agreement and the harm caused by the defamatory remarks at the sum of £250 plus vat daily until this matter is issued to the courts we will also be seeking legal costs on this matter.
We urge you to reconsider your actions and to cease any further dissemination of false information about our company. We remain open to resolving this matter amicably, but we expect your full cooperation in rectifying the damage caused.
We now put you on notice of 14 day before action for the above matter.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Should you wish to discuss this further or require any clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
Terrible company, they failed to sell my business but still perusing any angle for their financial gain, we work long and hard building businesses to hopefully sell them for a retirement pot, in my opinion you should look elsewhere when looking for an agent.

Got in touch with blacks as I can came across a business that was up for sale. Got dealing with Callum Pollard and what a great guy from the get go, really patient and understanding. I told him about my interest and position and he was really helpful. He has even provided me help and guidance on the financial side introducing me to a lender to help me purchase the business. Really nice guy and I will not hesitate in recommending the business and his service is truly amazing.

I found Blacks highly professional and efficient. I wanted to find a company who actually tries to sell your business, not just list it and leave it on a list forever. Every so often, my contact at Blacks Business Brokers (Joanne Booth - part of Business Transfer Group) was highly active because she kept finding me interested buyers. Also I liked it because I had the chance to keep my business information confidential and each buyer had to sign an NDA before they could see full details, which was important to me. In the end, Joanne found me a buyer. I had some back and forth with the buyer, they were really good and real! But, I declined the first offer and then they came back with the asking price which was a shock to me because it was a demanding price due to company potentials. However, to cut a long story short, I did not have it in my heart to sell the business in the end as I decided to grow it myself with my own staff overtime, and was afraid to commit my time under a new buyer after knowing more. I decided not to sell my business as I did not have it in my heart either. But this proves that Blacks would have done it! So for that reason, I am leaving this review. I would highly recommend Blacks Brokers.

Horrendous experience from start to finish.
I decided back in october that i was going to sell my business, i had 3 valuations and the broker with the middle valuation was blacks hence why i went with them.
No one came to meet me, no one came to view the business, i took the advertised pictures baring in mind i was located in manchester city centre local to blacks. As soon as that contract is signed you are stuck!
When Amy Page took over my account i told her that my business had not been trading due to covid so those figures are not a true representation we were phsyically closed please use the ones when we traded a full year the year before and the most recent takings. I could not have made this any clearer, repeating myself many times.
She didnt listen to me, she published everything i said not to and when i phoned back up she said a business would sell better with the figures. Well it didnt i got no one even enquiring until i demaned she took them away. After this i demanded a manager which she didnt want me to deal with she did everything in her power to make me look the bad one.
By March i was furious as my business had been advertised terribly so everyone who wouldve seen it would not have been intrested and especially with the dramatic change in figures it looked untrustworthy.
Id had one viewing in 5 months.
I also hardly heard from Amy and the only times would be when i phoned her.
I had 3 intrested parties from my word of mouth family and friends intrested and when i told blacks i was told i still have to pay all their fees even if i sell private.
I then was passed over to Callum who was meant to be helping and directing me. He redid my advert over all platforms for me to check on it 3 weeks later and he didnt change it on some platforms.
I then had 3 viewings the following week.
The first intrested party offered me full asking price and therefore i accepted the offer. This was on the monday.
I then got an email to see if i wanted to accept the second offer on the Wednesday 10k less off the second party. Why would 1, i accept that and 2, why hasnt blacks took it off the market or even told the party i cant accept any offers.
From this point i hardly heard anything from blacks and i did all the leg work, ringing solicitors daily, speaking with landlords, chasing landlord solicitors and more. I was on the phone to the buyer multiple times a day from May to September. I then would get a random phonecall from Callum to see where we were at.
He had no idea then he would try giving me some advice when id already got asbestos reports,electrical reports the lot unbeknown to him.
He spoke to the buyer they gave him a date we were hoping for and i recieved an invoice the same day for 9k.
We didnt complete on that date as callum did not know we had to have a signed letter as part of completion putting it back a week, we then had another stall due to the aportionments and accountants putting it back another week and ofcourse i got a phone call off callum wanting to know dates. The buyer kept giving dates and when he gave a date i got a invoice.
I sold the business, 9k got transferred the same day from my solictiors and i heard nothing at all. No thanks, no good luck no nothing.
The business sale went through mid September 11 months after the business went up for sale. Blacks told me they could move my business in 6 months. Prime location great taking and staff ran. I moved my business, i sold my business and blacks hindered me. Even the buyer said what a joke they have been.
