I’ve been gluten free for 4 years now, after having 16 years of my life being able to eat gluten the hardest part has been knowing what things tasted like before. I’ve always missed some of the familiar favourites that you take for granted until you can no longer have them. I tried Borough22’s doughnuts yesterday and OMG they were absolutely delicious. I haven’t found anything as close to the gluten containing alternative in the past 4 years, so these were like heaven to me. I would 100% recommend to anyone (gluten free or not), I had the sugared ring and the chocolate filled fried doughnuts and would strongly recommend both of these but the chocolate filled one was my favourite.

I’ve been following Borough22 for a while and decided to purchase 4 donuts from Selfridges food hall as a treat for myself and my daughter as we are both gluten intolerant. The donuts were extremely dry and disappointing. At nearly £17 for 4 I won’t be repeating this experience. Such a shame.

Best gluten free donuts I have ever had after years as a coeliac. Not sure how they have managed to get the same consistency as regular donuts!

Jam tasted strongly of disinfectant. No explanation provided. Love to support vegan businesses but very disappointed with this, especially given the price.

Exceptional fresh. Nearly exceptional when reheated per instructions. The summer box is a great mix of flavors.

Ordering was simple you get a choice of dates for delivery, they arrived on time are were a delight to eat 😁

Fantastic doughnuts! The price of the doughnuts is a bit steep, but for a payday treat they are more than worth it! The taste and texture are just like 'normal' doughnuts, you would never guess they were gluten free

Easy to order, delivered on time, well packaged. Now the boring bits are said......WOW! It had been 21 ywars since i had a doughnut, a proper doughnut and after trying a doughnut at the allergy and free from show I just simply had to have more! I was concerned they wouldn't be as nice when not as fresh. But, they come with reheating/refreshing instructions and wow! Divine, delicious, delectable, delightful!
Thank you Ryan for developing this recipe and working so hard to perfect it so us gluten free folk could enjoy doughnuts again. Worth every penny!

I like that I could pick the delivery date. These doughnuts are delicious! As with most gluten-free foods, don't expect them to taste exactly like regular doughnuts. They're different but delicious, and I think just as good if not better. They can be frozen for storage and easily warmed up for consumption. A little expensive but worth it for an occasional sweet treat. Highly recommend!

The website/ordering process was frustrating and complicated. I had some issues both times I ordered.

I went to Borough 22’s Notting Hill pop up recently (having never been before and being desperate for a GF donut after 11 years without one) and WOW! I couldn’t believe how good they were. I’ve tried a few donut alternatives and all of them were so dry and caky but these couldn’t be any different to those! I had a jam filled sugar donut and it tasted exactly how I remembered from childhood. So many Coeliac’s will understand how hard getting the texture of any GF baked goods are, so how they’ve managed to make a chewy and fluffy donut that actually tastes like the real thing feels like magic to me. Such a joyful experience, I will absolutely be back!

I bought a batch of their fried doughnuts at the allergy free from show (raspberry jam filled, original glazed, choc sprinkles) and they were delicious.

I'd recommend microwaving them for about 10 seconds before eating, so that they are soft and moist.

I feel really bad writing this review because I love any business attempting to create gluten free products, but considering the price I felt an honest opinion was worth sharing for others.
I ordered the 'Baked Best of box' as a birthday treat for myself, considering all the awards and positive reviews I was expecting good things although tried to keep my excitement realistic (as we know what gf products can be like).
However, in all honesty I was really disappointed.. the dough of the donut was not good at all, it pains me to say, but possibly the worst I've ever had. The donuts were really hard, really dense and really dry.
I've been gf for ten years so am used to an element of dry dense bread/dough etc so tried to 'power through' thinking maybe I was being fussy, but I tried them all and they were all SO stodgy and dry, almost tasted stale, I got no enjoyment from eating and so ended up throwing the box of half eaten donuts out.
Have given 2 stars because I can't fault the delivery and the icing/toppings were pretty tasty! Really disappointed and a bit confused by the good reviews, maybe the fried donuts are better?

I went to the Allergy and Free From show yesterday and was really excited about trying a doughnut from Borough 22 as I've seen all the insta posts on them and heard good things. After queueing for a half hour, I got a vanilla glazed donought and ate it at home. I got them in the afternoon and was expecting a fresh batch (given they had them delivered straight from their shop). The first bite was really disappointing, very dense, dry and stodgy dough, difficult to get down, and the middle looked as if it hadn't been fully cooked through. I was very disappointed, not worth the £5. I understand it's difficult to make gf products, but I just don't get all the hype around this place if this is the standard to expect
