Pretty tough to deal with - make yourself a brew, take a deep breath and await to be sent to websites and hungoup upon - the website is pretty tough - but what can you do? persist!

Brent council is incompetent and corrupt. pest control useless, rubbish collection random to say the least, streets are dirty and rubbish is left outside shops with no supervision, sidewalks dangerous. They are only good at giving fines. Crime is going up. Do not buy in Brent.

Utter joke. Got issued a PCN allegedly for stopping on a box junction. Looking at photo I’m the only car who hasn’t got brake lights on so must have been moving, not stopped.
PCN taken on 16th June received it in the post on 30th of June so it took 2 weeks to arrive.
Basically had to pay immediately on receipt or would have been outside the 14 day discount period.
I’m sure they do this on purpose so you don’t have time to challenge or take advice.
No excuse for taking 2 weeks in the post.

Gov.uk websites states that if you are having a problem with noise like loud music, rowdy parties in your neighbourhood, your council can help you. Believe me, they won't. The app the Brent council require to use to capture noise is a nonsense, and is just a tool to postpone any actions from them. Seems like my sound recordings from 02:00am or 03:00am was just to entertain myself! This ongoing anti-social behaviour impacts my health and well-being, and I started thinking about moving out.

Found best option is to email Head of Brent and suddenly these people get out of bed!

Waited 45 minutes before somebody answered the phone,in the end I was put through a different housing department but I gave up after waiting for ages before talking to somebody.
The system is useless.

The council seems to advocate their team being dishonest. The said they made a visit to my home and that I was rude and abusive and I wouldn’t let them in to do a visit. I have a doorbell camera and they never even came to my house that day. This is just the tip of the iceberg in their behaviour and it seems to be a common thing amongst their workers which is really unfortunate. The council don’t seem to want to work with their residents.

I am an ex Brent engineer. in my department all you need to do to go up the ladder is to keep say yes yes yes to HR. Specially if you are a white or black/ Asian acting gate-keeper ( racial gate keeping), you will be a manager even if you never dreamt of being one. Brent wil dream for you and realise the dream on your behalf. just keep saying yes yes yes.
The managers are incompetent at all, they are nothing but emails despatching machines my managers can't even use the software I use to do my designs Auto CAD, I had to pdf my drawings for them to check,
They waste tax payers money in bullying and harrasing their own employees in lengthy campaigns to manage them out when an employee stand-up to the toxic working environment.
When an employee like myself dares to challenge them, the employee case will be distributed among various managers who won't waste the opportunity gang against you to crash you down with mercy just to show loyalty to HR. They are ruthless machines,
I had PTSD following being assaulted in the street,all I needed special chair to work and adjustable desk, the management wanted to save money and and scrapped the desk this cause my lower back pain goes worse and being absent, they fabricated me grievance and sent me the letter when I was of sick. Something one with morals won't do to thier enemies.
If you ever wondered why the council is not delivering you services and the endless potholes in your stree it is because they put managers on the top based on their loyality not competency.
They could not even fabricate a grievance to me properly and kept changing the allegations from letter to another.
the short sight vision of the management making teams always work understaff to save money go the overpaid senior member such as Carolyn Downs, the understaff teams lead to employees being under pressure to perform and sickness levels increase and toxic working environment. re-active type of management style which acts only when something become an issue or when a Cllr or senior member is beig involved. People who get what they want in Brent are the ones who complaint most and who get cllrs or MPs involved. this is when the management panic and give you what you need.
They have tired to manage me out since 2019_ 2021 and still could not do it clean, Now they are wasting your money in defending it in the tribunal on 22 days hearing. One can imagine how much was wasted in this when thinking only that they hired a top barrister two solicitors and he offices
I believe that Brent council chief executive is being old to leave or running away because of my case. She announced that she will be resigning in April.

Potholes, potholes …Potholes everywhere!

3 years later and even after contacting council to say my car tyre burst because of the ridiclous number of potholes in Brent nothing has changed.

Cricklewood high street is terrible for it!! Every two seconds massive pothole.

If this star thing start with 0 then surely I would rate 0 worst council, housing officer change and no one bothered to inform or new one to introduce their self..they never replied to my any of the emails but instead they call and respond..each time I put enquiry on my account online and it says we'll get back to you respond to your enquiry in 7 to 10 working days and after months all of a sudden I receive email then your enquiry has been solved hope you happy with the outcomes, what outcomes, what enquiry has been solved god knows and then your case has been closed. They call early in the morning with unknown numbers around 7.30 or 8 and mostly after 5..but if I want to call then office hours 9 to 5 .lists goes on and on..

If Brent Council would put a little more effort into actually helping people and not being overly concern about statistics and comparing statistics to other departments and putting greater pressure on Wates who is responsible for so many council housing repairs then they might actually get to a two star rating.

Absolutely disgusting was on the phone for an hour and 40 minutes got cut off then rang back and was on the phone for further 30 minutes still no answer what can they be doing it’s not like they’re fixing anything because they don’t fix nothing what is the point of the new system if it’s still no good

We understand as a registered charity in the UK that it has been ery difficult for councils ,mainly working from home
Our charity had intensively preplanned a fundraising event which should have taken place July 24th 2022
We began the plan September 2021, whilst lo know was still in place. We are very concerned in the handling of our application and the implications it has caused. We were forced to cancel our event , the option was No Music, p activities,of course we thought this mist be a joke, then when we have tried to talk to persons assigned ,to no avail,we paid a lot of mo ney getting this Event together to be told 3 weeks before ,it can't go ahead
We have engaged a Solicitor which is more money wasted from our funds and our pockets,
We need to have our monies refunded, we had list contractors deposits as it was too late to let them k ow
Someone should be held responsible
We need an explanation in writing and have not been given one just se t 4 licensing objectives

The only thing Brent Leaseholder Management does with any efficiency is collect Service Charges. For anything else, they're completely incompetent. From uncollected bins to dangerously overgrowing trees, to water leaks lasting weeks, we've had them all and they really couldn't care less. Don't waste your time phoning - 30 mins waiting time isn't unusual, and they regularly cut you off because working a phone system is beyond them. Don't log issues by email - an automated message tells you you'll be waiting up to 10 days - in reality, you don't hear anything. If you're thinking of buying property, and it means having anything to do with them, think really carefully beforehand.

Worst council ever. Website never works so you have to email and call them for everything and deal with personnel which is unhelpful and straight rude. If it was possible I would give 0 stars.

Trying to make a complaint about abti sicial nightmare noisey neighbours. The person on the conplaints line says he can not guarantee our infomstion wont be accessable by the people we are complsining about. So our only option is to annonsmously complain online. We are going through hell with antisocial noise and brent council offer no help at all
no empathy or support for familys to deal with antisocial people

These people do anything to get out of not doing work. Might as well employ some animals from the local zoo. Reported noise disturbances nothing happened…reported a public alleyway overgrowing weeds into mine and neighbours gardens…they sent a response about a completely different alley saying it’s private land and they can’t do anything…council tax increases every year beyond inflation rates and yet the area is going downhill
