Disappointing experience
For the first time, I reached out to Brokerlink in the Atlantic region to get an auto insurance quote. They paired me with an agent.
The overall experience was disappointing. The time between correspondence was far too long. Twenty two days from me reaching out until they came back with a final quote.
I ended up dealing with a different brokerage who got me coverage same day.
The reason for the review is because the agent with Brokerlink gave me a final quote that was DOUBLE what I got through Nova Insurance. They were able to get me full coverage with my preferred insurer, whereas my Brokerlink agent indicated that it wasn’t possible.
A word of caution to check around, as I’m very skeptical of Brokerlink after my experience.

Brokerlink is horrible customer service DO NOT GO WITH THEM they do not answer their phone and they are just the worst. I feel sorry for anyone that has to deal with them if you can switch right now!
Awful service
Awful service, we tried 3 days in a row by phone and by email to get service. No one responded by email and when we reached someone by phone she hung up on us after waiting over half an hour. Went in person and was able to get the documentation done to insure our atv at a later date which we didn't have yet. He told us just to call when we would know the date and the insurance would be activated. LOL, wife sent an email 2 days ago and she received a general notification today that they received her email. Since I am picking up my atv tomorrow we decided to call to make sure to have the insurance in hand. Waited 38 min to get someone who hung up again cause he couldn't hear us. Called again but we were already on route to the office. We got there before anyone answered the phone. The same agent was assigned to us and we told him the insurance needed to be activated for tomorrow. We got our temporary slip but on they way home we decided to check it and hold and behold the insurance starting date was wrong. If I had gone an taken my atv for a ride I wouldn't have been covered since the date in effect is in 2 weeks. So tomorrow we need to drive another 30 min to fix this error. Hopefully the agent will correct the error if he reads his emails before we get to the office. We will be changing broker next year.
Horrible service, hard to contact…
I’ve been a customer of bronerlink’s for years. They bought out the small town agent I used to use. I can literally never get a hold of these “bleeping” people. Horrible service, you can sit on hold for hours at a time and nobody picks up. The only way you can get a somewhat quick response is if you type URGENT in an email to them.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. Was lied to because agent didn't bother getting the right information before giving it to me. Took 10 days and a 1 hour phone call to get information for what I had to pay after cancelling my policy. No one knows anything and they just blame it on others. SOOOO HAPPY to have switched to another insurance provider where I am saving over $1500 per year and agents can answer questions!
Took 19 days to get insurance
Took 19 days to get insurance, repeatedly ignored, when you call the office they either place you on hold for 20 min then hang up on you (3x) or they transfer you to another city and say they cannot help you. Worst of the worst service, it's horrific how they treat people. No manager will return your call either.

Ongoing & inappropriate contact after quote refusal
I obtained a quote for home and car insurance from Brokerlink on July 4/25, which I declined during the phone call. I was initially delighted to be dealing with a Canadian entity which they verified via my initial phone call. They then forwarded a policy to me via LinkedIn with the expectation I would accept and sign via docusign, I believe within a day after declining their offer. I also declined this LinkedIn offer/quote. I requested in writing they discontinue contact with me - to no avail. They continue to call me daily regarding their quote - including today, July 9/25. Be aware of this process!
Update: 7/30/25
UNBELIEVABLE. I receive an email from Brokerlink today offering to 'continue the conversation.' Absolutely not!

No one answers the phones
No one answers the phones. The new way they have it set up you can’t get through to a person on the phone. Very clear they are trying to force clients to use an online portal. But when you need a person you have to be able to connect. Ridiculous poor service.

If I could give them a 0 I would. I was with bow valley insurance since 2015 with 4 vehicles and apartment insurance I didn’t know when broker link took them over but I just bought a New car and needed a quote and it was the most dysfunctional agency I have ever dealt with. It was a full week June 16-20 th of different ppl answering the phone hanging up on me etc. I talked to 5 different people and they all gave me 5 different quotes one of the people was very unprofessional demanding I send in bills of sale and my loner address .I had enough as I needed to pick up my car and still hadn’t gotten anything done. So I found Jeff Cook insurance here in Alberta I spoke to one representative who was amazing Matraca Miles who within hours had paperwork sent to me and I was able to get my vehicle on time. Also some of the quotes from broker link were 2600-2800 I ended getting 2200 from Jeff cool.

The Oromocto Branch does not accept Debit cards. Credit Cards only. Debit card paying is the most common method of purchasing today. I have never been told “We do not accept Debit cards” any where before this. Very poor customer service.

Cant get anyone to answer the phone
Cant get anyone to answer the phone. If you call you are put on hold for hours until you hang up. Sent numerous emails with no response. If you are not a client of theirs they answer the phone right away, but soon as the find out your a client they tell you they can't help you. Used to be great customer service but not anymore. I am looking to cancel with Brokerlink, I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Wish I Could Rate Them A Negative
After spending all of my day off on the phone. I received no customer care , service or resolution on my cancelled policy for making a payment manually on the same date the where to auto withdraw the payment still cancelled my policy with no reinstatement. So Thanks to brokerlink i was hung up on I am out money , have no insurance and quoted for new policy 4 times the amount of my cancelled policy ! Wish I could rate them a negative
I have been a client for years
I have been a client for years. I can never get thru to local office. I own 3 properties never a claim my rates have jumped 1,200 in last 2 years and nobody will pick up phone to explain . I use to believe in keeping things local . Why bother will be shopping for other companies. Very disappointed with Sudbury office service is terrible. Ken wheaton
