Broker link is a terrible company . I recommend you go else where. After 3 days of trying to reach someone to get insurance for a new vehicle on hold for a total of 6 hours and 18 minutes and cant reach any individual on the phone . I have experienced this numerous times. Next Renewal for our vehicles and house I certainly will not be using Broker link . The service is terrible !!

Cancel my insurance with out notice because they fail to submit documents on my behalf that I supplied them a head of time and spoke to a x representative (Wendy about the documents) . Then today informed me that they would not help get new insurance after my other insurance company wouldn't take me back on because to much time happen between the fail communication from broker link.
Worst service provider ever. The BBB will be in touch soon.
Brokerlink has no respect for…
Brokerlink has no respect for customers. I was treaded like I have no rights. Detected ed to and every question was responded to with out respect for customer service. You wait 30 min to talk with someone only to be treated badly. Then I asked for a manager and I am told it could take 2-3 days before a manager will call me back, unreal. I pay over $7000 for insurance only to be treated with no respect.
10+ years dealing with them No More.
10+ years dealing with the Mayfield location of brokerlink. This location has closed and now I have spent multiple hours on hold over multiple days trying to reach a human. This is absolutely disgraceful customer service. Unfortunately I will be leaving them and Intact as a result as last years renewal was also rife with complications. I have a 19year old SUV and a 15 year old truck no accidents in 35 years driving and my automobile premiums have increased by 20% over the last 2 years. No claims + depreciating vehicles = increase??? WTH. Last year I was hard pressed for time on the the insurance too bad they can't answer the phone they might have been able to retain my business. I would not recommend them to anyone as they have gone completely automated rather than training and paying a competent staff a reasonable wage. Also I put down todays date for review but this has been a problem for a year or more.

I have an existing policy with Intact Insurance, but was recently informed that I now need to go through BrokerLink to make any changes. Unfortunately, the experience has been nothing short of frustrating.
I attempted multiple times to contact customer service to add a vehicle to my policy, only to be placed on hold endlessly without ever reaching a representative. Out of curiosity, I tried calling the "new customer" line and got through in under two minutes—clearly, they prioritize potential sales over supporting existing clients.
However, the new customer line couldn’t help with my request, and I’m still stuck waiting to speak with someone who can. The lack of responsiveness and poor service is unacceptable. I’ll be exploring other insurance providers to avoid dealing with this kind of inefficiency in the future.

No one answered the phone in multiple tries over a 2 day period. Terrible customer service! Terrible business model ! Tried an online quote thru our business association. Incomplete and No savings there! Maybe they are out of business ??

Been with broker link for years. 45 minute wait for customer service. All you get is excuses for the wait. On line system didn’t work.

Brokerlink and Intact Ins, stay away.
If possible I would have given them a zero. This is the most unprofessional company that I almost had a pleasure of dealing with and, thank God I did not. I had a non-pleasure of dealing with a Mrs Wiseman from St John's NL. During the initial call she seemed like a wonderful young lady and a pleasure to talk to. However, it was pretty much a Dr Jenkle and Mr Hyde situation. After a lengthy chat on the phone, I still needed to provide them with information. After gathering things and sending 2 separate emails to Mrs Wiseman she so happy to help me that even after approximately 5 weeks she still didn't email me. I don't care if there was issues,concerns, or whatever......... I believe this to be extremely rude and very unprofessional. Maybe it has something to do with the fact they are a part of Intact Ins. This is the most unprofessional company I ever deal with and after 37 years in the Military and living in almost ever province in Canada. I won't take their insurance even if it were free. I certainly hope this company and it associated company/s crash. Personal Ins Coy was a pleasure to deal with. I do place most of the blame on Mrs Wiseman herself. Only if she was a little more professional I would not have written this review.

They deny claims all the time. This has happened to my family and two of our friends. The worst part is that their agents tell you over the phone that everyone is insured on the policy but then you find out, that it’s a lie. You call them to make sure everyone gets insured and you ask them an email confirmation, but they lie again and do not insure all drivers of your vehicles. Scam

I needed to urgently speak with my broker about a claim. Before Brokerlink took them over the brokerage was wonderful - friendly, responsive and caring. Since Brokerlink took over I literally spent hours trying to speak with someone. I called the brokerage, Brokerlink's main number and any other phone number I could find. All I got was that horrible recording telling me how great their customer service is and trying to sell me more policies while I waited and waited to be connected; but never was.
Today, I called again but instead of hitting 2 as an existing customer, I hit 1 as a prospective customer. And, what do you know, I got a live person right away. He was able to contact someone who will be calling me back as soon as she's free. (I'm still waiting to see if that happens.)
For possible money coming in, they are eager to help. For a potential claim, they're waiting for hell to freeze over first. I'm going to investigate other insurance companies who might actually care about their clients.
CHOSE ANOTHER BROKER!!!!!!
This company is awful. They took over my previous Broker and since then I have had nothing short of issues. I am not one to tear companies or people down, but I've had enough. So just to lay it out clearly -
1. Couldn't access my file when I traded in my vehicle, missed promise to call back, no follow ups on policy change or pricing.
2. Received new papers for new SUV, insurance was almost 2.5 times the cost of my Truck (not their fault) BUT when i called to question and ask about going to market, another agent was supposed to call back... they didn't.
3. I followed up again, keep going to Toronto office when I called Barrie location. Insurance was supposed to switch to another vendor and was to get paperwork, it never came in for me to sign. Again ANOTHER no call back.
4. I finally gave up and waited 11 months to call at renewal to switch companies for a lower insurance rate.
5. Second older used vehicle was added to my policy - it took 2 days to get a quote. Once confirmed to add it, I had to follow up to make sure it was going to actually be added that day before the weekend.
6. I just received my policy change notice and the monthly bill is way higher than quoted. I called BrokerLink, after waiting on hold forever the agent huffed like she was annoyed she had to deal with another person with billing issues. AND I wasn't even rude!!!! My dogs started barking, i asked her to hold for 1 min and muted her so I could settle them down, she hung up at 5:22PM .... they close at 5:30PM
7. I now have to call back and HOPE I can deal with someone competent and PRAY that it doesn't take all day long.
Stay far far away from this company. Their advertised strive for service is so far from the truth. I went from a company who I barely needed to contact and was FULLY cared for when I did need them. I am now with a company that literally drops the ball where ever possible.

Tried to get a quote for additional coverage, could not request a quote on-line, indicated call in necessary. Spent my time on hold listening to the same message. Tempted to go elsewhere and would then look at transferring all of my current Brokerlink insurance (personal and business) to another company.

I would like to select 0 stars as that would be closer to the experience I had. It is at least a 25 minute wait on the phone, and the agents do not reply to emails for personal insurance, so I see no other choice.
WORST SERVICE EVER
if i could give 0 I would, its impossible to contact my broker since they joined Brokerlink. you hold on for ages if you do not have the broker's extension and then they say they are unable to take your call and leave a message, which I have done repeatedly. I am going to cancel my policy with my broker and go through an agency or company who does not use brokerlink.

The worst customer experience ever. It's impossible to talk to anyone on the phone, no answers to emails, they don't keep their promises of calling you back or solving your problems. Avoid this company!!!

The stupidest people I have ever delt with.
Nicole, Maria and their supervisor Marsheline or the most unprofessional DEI hires I have ever met.
They left me without insurance for over 1 month after repeated calls to renew my mortgage. Maria told me she would help. After 2 weeks and no word from her, I contacted them again. This time Nicole answered the phone. I complained about Maria's Shyte service and Nicole assured me she could help. After about 2 weeks and no word from her, I called her supervisor.
Marsheline, the supervisor, helped me look into my account. They quoted me almost $4000 for vacant home insurance, as I live in BC. I questioned the pricing as it was almost $1000 higher than last year. We had no claims and no missed payments, as we paid in full.
She calls me back with a policy offered by Wawanessa. I had her contact Wawanessa and asked her to reduce my home replacement cost from 700k to 225 k. She gave me the quote, but it was still high. I'm reducing my coverage by 2/3, yet I only received a couple hundred dollar discount. I asked her why the price didn't change, much. She said that she would call Wawanessa. I'm not sure what she said, but Wawanessa withdrew the renewed policy offer. So, what did she say? What happened?
If you need an insurance company, after looking at their pitiful reviews, choose a company that cares about you and understands the importance of having insurance on your house.
They will obviously hire ANYONE.

Brokerlink took over a former local insurance company, and are terrible! Corporate greed at its finest.
They won't let me reduce my policy to comprehensive only for some reason, I guess assuming that I'm lying about not using my vehicle currently? Also having the requirement to have all licensed adults in the household insured as if they'll steal the vehicle? Do our neighbours need to be insured too? What about the neighbourhood car thieves... you know just in case?
Incompetent too; Last year the rep advised me to cancel my insurance on a vehicle temporarily to save money while it was parked. When I called back 3 days later (change of plans) to insure the same vehicle so I could drive to a repair shop they needed an INSPECTION done suddenly to re-insure it despite the fact they would have gladly kept it insured without inspection for years to come. Without warning me. This cost hundreds of dollars extra when I was tight for money. I hate this company with a passion but they formed a monopoly and there are no other options. Seriously they can get bent. We should have the government break them up.
Horrendous
Brokerlink took over previous broker I had for many years. Unfortunately they are beyond terrible. Trying to get through to a live person is next to impossible. You are on hold for hours and then you are disconnected. They do not list phone numbers or extensions, only email addresses and the reps pretty much ignore emails. If you are with them, wait until you need to talk to a person urgently, not going to happen. They also claim on the main page a 4.6 rating from 20787+ Google reviews. That is a shameless, straight out lie. Check for yourself.
