Pointless using this broker
Pointless using this broker. They didn't submit my insurance application for 6 months so left me with astronomical payments, threat of collections and didn't even apologise. Their hold times are always over 30mins and they can't help and won't help with anything. My insurance isn't even correct for my vehicle.

I had to insure a new vehicle. Customer representative was "Jithin". Great customer service, he was professional, attentive. What he couldn't readily answer, he consulted in house. All my questions were answered. He ensured that when we were done all had been taken care of. He's great Ambassador for Brokerlink. Seriously this quite is profecient.
Price keeps rising without…
Price keeps rising without justification. You’ll be told “we’ll call you back”…a week went by before I called them and cancelled finally. My insurance tripled in less than 5 yrs without explanation, should be criminal. Not to mention I was informed there would be penalties for leaving them, as if they didn’t make enough off of me already! Happy with my decision to leave them in my rear view.

Rude service
Filled out their online form. Gave some great options and prices. Called them to review those quotes, and they all doubled.
The man I talked to was quite rude, didn't want to answer my questions, then hung up on me.

I have been trying to get in touch with anyone for 2 days. I wait on hold for half an hour and then someone picks up the phone and hangs up. Imagine if this was an emergency. I will definitely be looking for a a new broker.
The communication is terrible
The communication is terrible. Their phone lines are consistently slow (15-45 minutes). After buying a house, I wanted to get a quote for a home policy, but the representative I initially spoke to handed off my case to another representative who took 2 business days per (mostly useless to anyone outside of the industry) reply for the first 4 emails and then ended up never getting back to me again.
Eventually I just found another (cheaper) broker, cancelled, and paid the cancellation fee.

I have been trying for over a week to get to talk to a broker. No one answers ANY of their many phone lines. All I need is a new quote withy employer's discount applied.
Someone did answer the phone today, but he was with the sales department and tried to transfer me to a broker, but the call was not picked up and I got a message that there were NO BROKERS AVAILABLE AND TO CALL BACK LATER!!!!!!

Once you are a customer they don't care about you. I have called 3 times as an existing customer, and waited on the phone for over 45 mins to not be able to talk to anyone. When they contacted about my renewal, I asked where they were a broker, if I could have different quotes to see what the best options were, and never got a call back.
Spoke with Mesh
Spoke with Mesh. I needed to renew my drivers license as it had expired while I was out of the country. Today I had Service Ontario issue a temporary license until the card is delivered. My insurance is up for renewal and I wanted to be certain that the temp license was registered so that I could drive and be insured. Mesh was great in making this happen. I sent a photo of the temp and sent it vis email. However, because Apple interchanges Mac.com and me.com as the same email address, Mesh figured out that the reason the sent temp image was not arriving at Brokerlink ws due to Apple address using the me.com address which was nt on file with Brokerlink. Mesh stayed in constant contact with me to be certain that the paperwork was delivered ( after solving the mystery as to why it was not!) and finally the paperwork arrived and he was able to ensure the policy would be active on renewal date. Thanks for great service Mesh and your problem solving analysis!
Worst company when you need customer…
Worst company when you need customer service. They don’t do their job. They don’t pick up their phones and they pretend after holding for an hour not to hear you then just hang up on you. Do not use this Broker unless you want undue stress.
Poor customer service because can't get…
Poor customer service because can't get a hold on anyone. Severely understaff. Wait on call for 40 minutes and they hung up on me at the end. They need better training or culture in the company.
I have been a customer for years
I have been a customer for years. I just purchased an ATV. I called them for a quote as this is my insurance. They did a little research and promptly had a quote together. Erick was the gentleman that helped me out. He also recommended a couple things that I should consider changing on my other policies that was very beneficial for myself. Erick was very knowledgeable and very helpful he is a very great asset to the Broker Link team. Thanks Erick for you professional service.

Trash service
Trash service, representative sometimes took days to respond, my mailbox was stuffed with a dozen pink slip packages, the representative would continuously dance around direct questions and told me my first payment would be in May, imagine my surprise when $400 was taken out of my account in April. When asked about it the agent said oh well there was an attachment in one of the over 50 emails that were sent to me that said it would be even though on the phone they said not to expect a payment until May. Will not be using them again in the future.
Consistently Poor Customer Service
No personal contact. I called a few times. Always on hold for a long time then cut off. Employees are uncaring. No explanations on the type of personal insurance coverage available for my specific situation. I NEVER have the same advisor to try establish a working relationship. All they want is your money. Do they work on commission?? They just want to be big, but not good. I do not recommend them.
More than 15 years
I have been a Brokerlink customer for at least 15 years, but they have increased the quote yearly; my car is 13 years old. I called when I received the renewal papers because it was too much. They told me they can give me the senior discount ( I am 72 years old) why didn't they give me this discount before? It was still too much, this person told me to call next week for him to try to find another company to give me a cheaper price. I called back on April 8 around 3-3:15 pm, this lady answered me and she said Not a problem, I can help you. She started asking all these questions, put me on hold, and asked more questions. She put this record where I have to agree ( say yes). She even asked me if she could check my credit rating because if I have a good record, she can give me a cheaper quote.. I trusted her . I said yes. After 1 hour of talking to her, well, I was put on hold most of the time. She said she couldn't give me a quote because she needed to call the insurance first, the insurance name was supposed to be Penbridge. I asked for her name, but she mumbled; she has an indian accent. She never called me back. I am so upset how these unprofessional people are working in this place, she has no respect at all !! After she failed to call me back, I had weird vibes. I trusted her with all my information, but now it gives me the creeps. I am reporting this because this shouldn't happen to anybody, especially if they are seniors. Have some respect, I hope you can find this employee and give her what she deserves!!

I have been on hold the ENTIRE day trying to get a hold of someone to cancel my insurance. I was in touch with someone on Monday March 31 to cancel my insurance and find that monies have been taken from my account on Tuesday. This is unacceptable!!!

I was trying to find out information on insuring an ATV. The ATV is powered by 2 1000w motors and goes pretty fast. Stephan, the broker I spoke with, was short of blaming me for purchasing a vehicle that was not listed with them. Her/his frustration and confusion took an accusing tone which almost forced me to find a new brokerage firm. Times are changing and I was hoping they were on board, apparently not. If anybody can direct me to an E-vehicle friendly insurance company, that'd be great.
