Cabin purchase
The cabin was ordered in January and was told it would be delivered at the end of March and would be contacted to make the final payment and arranged a date for it to be delivered. I heard nothing, so called and was told that they had been waiting for me to call in to pay and arrange delivery as it had been ready for over two weeks. I immediately paid the balance by BACS payment and was given a delivery date. The workmen turned up to build the cabin, which was completed in 5 hours and did a remarkable job. However, a couple of days later, I found a crack close to the top hinge on the right hand side and two days later, it had broken off. I photographed the damage and sent it in to the company and to date, despite another email, I have heard nothing, not even confirmation that it would be looked into. Thankfully, I am a very competent woodworker and managed to repair the damage without any visual marks. After paying nearly £4500 I would have expected good after sales service. The cabin, apart from the damage, is of a very good quality. I might add that the damage to the door was of no fault of the vendor and all due respect, eventually offered to get a replacement door for me. I was happy with the repair I had made to the cabin door, following which I was offered a goodwill gesture for my trouble.
