Much lower credit scores than given by competitors
I have never contacted TransUnion nor intend to. My experience with Experian and Equifax is of scores that reflect my long-term stability in maintaining credit accounts. I don't miss or delay payments and the summary information is usually wrong in more than one respect. TransUnion provide poor to fair ratings in contrast to excellent from other agencies. I feel TransUnion are disreputable and should not be able to hold and process personal data. Steer clear of them.

I’ve had a very disappointing experience with TransUnion. Their customer service is slow to respond and not helpful when it comes to resolving credit report errors. I submitted documentation multiple times to correct inaccurate information, but the issue was never properly addressed.
The online dispute process is confusing, and getting a live person to actually explain what’s going on is almost impossible. For a company that handles such sensitive personal and financial information, I expected much better accountability and communication.
Overall, I found the service unreliable and unprofessional. I would strongly advise TransUnion to improve their dispute handling and customer support systems people’s financial reputations depend on it.

Transunion is very outdated and horrible, they connected my sisters bank and mine which is affecting my credit score terribly. I contacted them regarding my credit score and how low it is because of their faults claiming i am not on the electoral register when ive been on it since i was 18. They are completely useless and extremely rude.
⭐ 1 Star – Appalled by the Conduct and Tone
I am absolutely disgusted by the tone and attitude in the email I received this morning from TransUnion. It was curt, defensive, and completely unprofessional.
After formally requesting my statutory credit report under the Consumer Credit Act 1974, TransUnion continue to misstate the law, claiming they have a full month to respond as though this were a general GDPR request. That is not true. HM Treasury have confirmed in writing that failing to provide a statutory credit report is a criminal offence, yet TransUnion have chosen to ignore that and shut down communication entirely.
Their handling of this matter shows total disregard for customer rights and for their own legal obligations. Ending a complaint email by refusing to communicate further while the issue remains unresolved is appalling.
This behaviour raises serious concerns about the company’s professionalism, accuracy, and compliance culture. I have now referred the case to the Information Commissioner’s Office and the Financial Ombudsman Service.
A company dealing with personal data should act with integrity and respect. TransUnion have done neither.

You pay on time everything next time they block you especially with Klaran I pay on time. I never miss my bill. Everything I pay on time but this trans union they are rubbish they don't want people to work nothing they block you from everywhere totally rubbish company
Terrible service
Terrible service. It has added CCJs onto my account that aren’t even my name. When I try to dispute they tell me to find the person myself and ask them to write in to take the CCJs off me. Who would do that? This woman will just be happy they aren’t on her name.
Experian give me a score of 999/999 and I’m happy with that. TransUnion give me a low pathetic score and attach other people’s CCJs to me. I can see by all the other ratings that people don’t seem too keen on there. Especially getting in contact with them. It’s a joke!!!

How are these sc*mbags allowed to do what they do? Suddenly out of nowhere a default for o2 appeared on my credit score! Over £459! Who can rack up a mobile bill that aize these days when every contract comes with unlimited data roaming and minutes and texts! Tried disputing but TransUnion refused as they said theres no crime ref (?) wtf! Even if someone had used my details how would I have known as I only saw the default to day! If i was desperate I could never use o2 as the network never ever works within 20miles of here. 3 is the only network that gets a signal. I am furious theres no way of contacting Transunion without giving personal details on a long winded form which I will not do and here’s why.. did that a couple of years ago and within days had all these trying their luck debt people writing and calling.. all of the debts were unknown to anyone in this household. Also Transunion pass your details on to all these companies like Lowell and Moorcroft causing even more hassle. I am NOT showing wither my Spanish or UK passport to this company to prove who I am and o2 can shove it up their a$$.
NEVER TRUST TRANSUNION. It sickens me they are in charge of our credit financial system and get it wrong. Who do they think they are.

Incorrect information on my credit file if your going to to report credit information make sure its actually correct as this has a massive impact on the individual your reporting about..not trustworthy information and can't seem to dispute it..very annoying its every month of wrong information!!!

What a useless company. CONTACT them several times about my credit report ,they had cross reference someone else with my details plus all their details were on my credit report. Lots of emails back and forth. I arose 6 complaints with them of different accounts/references. They would not admit they were at fault.I was receiving letters from various banks with the details of the other person .They also changed their mortgages etc to my address.They blamed other's company for the mixup. Even after manage to sort it out .Still receiving letters .Spent hours on phone to various organisations Shocking company even after several months ,still saying matter closed but still receiving letters. Block me from seeing my credit report.

This company masquerades as an "agency" or bureau and that it is somehow fulfilling a statutory government obligation. It is not either. It’s a commercial entity and one that infringes U.K. & European law.
It's nothing to do with government. It's a private commercial entity that steals, buys and sells your data for its own profit.
It collects an awful lot more information than it ever had obtained permission to do so. It's legally allowed to collect payment history and court conviction data only.
Instead they collect your web traffic, your salary, where you go, who your friends are, what you watch, the whole lot. All nefariously tucked and hidden away in extremely vague terms and conditions and small print. Watch this horrid organisation.
They make it as difficult as possible for you to complain and exercise your statutory rights into the bargain too with self created procedures and conditions. They could not be more deceptive and unhelpful. In many countries what they do is simply illegal.
These people are data thieves and they steal your information for profit. They are as bad as the criminals themselves as neither this company or the criminals has permission for what they take. AVOID AVOID AVOID and good luck if you ever need to try and engage with them. Keep all of your communications.

They only share part of the details they've got about you and I have no idea where they're getting this data from but it can't be correct because I keep failing my verification with HMRC and so I can't even open an account because of TransUnion.
I have sent a number of emails explaining my situation but always just getting a useless pre-set response telling me how to download my report which I already done months ago.
Absolutely useless. I hope some other company replaces TransUnion asap, otherwise I'll never be able to open any accounts that are using them for verification.
Your data isn't safe.
I have somebody else's details on my credit report, as well as my own. They claim this is 'rare', and yet many others have the same issue. Just think, your details could be in somebody else's app, and they can use those addresses, names, dates of birth to acquire credit in YOUR name. 8 weeks and still no resolution. An absolute joke of a company, and one that I will now report to the FCA.

The contact form is reminiscent of a 1991 web form designed to disengage.
And how is it possible that Transunion UK Ltd limit the number of times the contact form can be completed?
You must write to your MP to shine a light on this unchallenged, unresponsive, unaccountable privately owned business operating in such a way out of One, Park Lane, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS3 1EP.
Is it possible to obtain a list of banks and credit providers who don’t use Transunion UK Ltd? So customers have transparency and choice? Should Transunion UK Ltd be required to sign post this so customers can make more informed future decisions?

Transunion is an absolute Disgrace
Transunion is an absolute Disgrace, I have been trying to work with this bunch of jokers for 4 years to have a bank account which isn't connected to me removed but they refuse to remove it. They should not be in buisiness and the inaccurate reports are ridiculous. Transunion should try writing fiction as that is all that their reports are.
Transunion haven't got a clue
I paid off both my credit cards with my bank, and instead of my credit scoring going back up, it went down. Not only that, but Transunion claim I opened a new account within the past six months, which I assuredly did not.
It's just as well I am not thinking of applying for any credit soon, and if my bank continues to use these pathetic morons, I might just change my bank as well.
As an example, my Experian score is way high, with offers galore.
