Every dog is different. If the goal is to find a solution to a behavioural problem, the first element of that solution is to find the right help. In our case, I'd tried four previous trainers before I was introduced to Canine Sense. For my sake and for my dog's, I'm truly thankful that we were. My rescue dog's behaviour towards other dogs was beyond my (>30 years') experience and understanding, and was having a wide-reaching impact on our lives. Flurina has given me insights into my dog's nature and temperament, and has taught us both strategies for successful interaction with other dogs. I am just starting to have confidence again on walks, and it is so lovely to be able to stop and chat to other dog owners, rather than diving into a ditch (not quite) or taking a different route to avoid interaction.
Online reviews often feature hyperbole; I can honestly say, however, that I'd recommend Flurina to any dog owner facing difficulties with their dog's behaviour.

I can’t recommend Flurina from Canine Sense highly enough! After bringing home our newborn, I was really struggling to balance everything, and my miniature dachshund Teddy was clearly having a hard time too. He was barking excessively, not following commands, and struggling to adapt to having a baby in the house.

From the very beginning, Flurina was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. She didn’t just train Teddy — she trained me as his human too. She helped me understand his behavior, taught me how to communicate with him more clearly, and gave me practical, realistic tools that actually worked, even during the exhausting newborn phase.

Thanks to Flurina’s guidance, Teddy is calmer, more responsive, and so much better adjusted to our new family dynamic. The difference has been night and day. I’m so grateful to have found Canine Sense and for Flurina’s support during such a vulnerable time. If you’re looking for a trainer who truly understands both dogs and their humans, I couldn’t recommend her more. 🐾💛

Flurina was wonderful with my rescue galgo. He had terrible reactivity and was a nightmare to walk on the lead and could never be let off the lead with other dogs around. After only a handful of sessions, he is now walking very well on the lead and can even be let off the lead in public spaces. He is a much happier dog for it and even gets chances to play with other dogs 🙂 thank you so much Flurina!

We have been doing the City Paws sessions with our German Shepherd who was quite nervous in shops, lifts and in busy crowded areas.
With Flurina’s help, we are now able to take our pup into town on busy weekends and she walks by my side in shops and lifts with no issues! Flurina’s sessions are so valuable and helpful!

As a large puppy, unvaccinated and untrained, we were struggling to integrate him into our home. Toilet training issues, dominant behaviour, excessive pulling and a LOT of nipping 🙈. I booked the puppy package for my pup when he was around 6 months old. Flurina was amazing and gave me lots of confidence and clear guidance in how to deal with certain behaviours. We have since booked on pack & city walks which are very helpful too. I would highly recommend Flurina

What can I say, other than Flurina is an angel. After two training sessions with her my labrador has overcome all his fears of walking on a lead in urban areas. He originates from the countryside and had no experience of walking around other dogs, he was anxious and frustrated. Flurina worked with him and within the first 20 minutes he was a different dog. Not only am I more relaxed and comfortable walking him but he now enjoys his walks too.

Flurina has really helped with our Jack Russell, George. When he first came to the group sessions he was a very scared and anxious dog. Since joining and coming to sessions, he has really come out of his shell which has helped when walking him past other dogs.

I tried the pack walks after having one to one sessions. They worked really well for both Frank and George as they’ve built up George’s confidence, and helped Frank learn to ignore other dogs.
Flurina at Canine Sense has been an absolute saviour and made life more enjoyable with my dogs

Flurina recently came to help us with our very reactive lurcher cross. Whilst walking in town, Lexie would lunge and bark at any other dog she came across and did the same with people who lived on our street. Within one session Flurina had given us the tools to tackle this behaviour and we are now walking along our street and around town, past other dogs and people with absolutely no reaction. It’s so much more enjoyable !

We engaged Flurina in the summer to try snd change the behaviour of our 6 year old Chiwawa dog, Spencer. A rescue dog presenting with aggression towards people and other dogs. Flurina has a deep knowledge of the psychology of dogs and started home visits with Spencer and walking him out to socialise with other dogs. Flurina has worked miracles. We now have a different dog who is not fearful of people and we can have visitors without the worry of him biting. I would highly recommend Flurina to anyone considering changing their dog behaviour.

Flurina is one of my go to trainers/behaviourists on instagram. If I lived in England I definitely would call upon her expertise. She is truly gifted.

To say Flurina has transformed our adolescent Vizsla is an understatement; she’s incredibly knowledgable and got results straight from our first session at a time when our Vizsla was consistently pushing boundaries at home.
The sessions are varied but most of all fun which our dog loves and she now actually looks forward to her training.

Flurina was a godsend we contacted her after we brought our rescue terrier home she was struggling with separation anxiety and crate training. After only an hour with Malaika we noticed a difference allowing us to get some normality back and restoring hope.
We now have a confident little dog and have continued to work with Flurina with both our dogs. We have attended her pack walks, 6 week course and paws in the city which has been great for improving their behaviour and socialisation.

Miracle worker. I had given up hope of my girl having good recall due to crazy prey drive and none of the typical training methods had worked. But 2 sessions with Flurina she was off leash with perfect and recall. And still stil is a year later. Thank you again from Skye and I 😆

I look forward to our sessions with Flurina - she is so knowledgeable and my Rottweiler trusts her totally. Flurina does her research and understand the psychology of dogs and so really makes a difference. We have worked with Flurina in person and over zoom when Rolo was a puppy. We live 1 hour 40 mins from Flurina and despite the journey it is always worth the drive!

Flurina has worked wonders with our dog reactive French Bulldog.

It got so bad that we were unable to walk our dog and her behaviour became such a huge and sad issue for us.

Over the sessions Flurina got to know our dog, Oona, and worked intensively with her to modify her behaviours by getting to the root of the issue and changing her perceptions of other dogs.

We are now able to walk Oona and understand her so much more. We are so much happier and confident.

Obi was our first dog, we thought we were prepared but you can never be prepared enough i think with getting a puppy! We got absolutely overloaded with advice online, videos of what do do, tik tok trainers providing mixed messages, only doing training in a certain way and so forth which really confused us and stressed us out.

Obi is incredibly excitable (Goldens!) to the point we struggled to take him anywhere because he would not rest, be desperate to engage with everyone, whine and cause lots of problems and also at one point injured me because he would constantly try and pull too much on walks!

We had 4 sessions with Flurina and it absolutely transformed our relationship with Obi. He is still a adolescent so you still have to help manage him through crazy times but we have so much more engagement, trust, control and fun with him now we know how to have good times with him and what to do if he gets a bit too over excited.

We didn't realise how much training comes through play time, a lot of what you see online is to do so much with treats but that isnt everything you should do on its own. We have lots of fun training games with him now. He knows commands for when we are not happy with what he is doing so he now knows to stop. We know what to do when he gets a bit too crazy. We also now know he can be trusted off lead more which we did do a lot of already as his recall was good but we were not confident of him around other dogs. He is now growing into a really good adult dog thanks to the shaping and guidance Flurina has given us.

She also has helped clear up misconceptions around tools that get a negative reputation online such as a prong collar. Using this correctly with the right training absolutely changed the game for us. Obi has so much fun still but now knows what i am trying to tell him to do. He has no fear of it which is what online stuff made us believe. As we are using it the right way with really great training we now have full confidence and fun with him and Obi knows now what we want, he is having so much fun and actually looks way happier than before when we are out. He walks to heel and can maintain that even past distractions.

I cannot recommend Flurina enough. We now have a great adolescent dog that will grow into a great adult thanks to the work we put in with Flurina.
