Simple and easy
Very simple and easy to hire a reasonable car. Wasn’t a fan of the modern functionality of lane assist brake assist etc was really weird
They should get a few decent powerful cars to rent to premium customers 🤷♂️

The call taker was really helpful…
The call taker was really helpful however your phone service is diabolical and will put me off dealing with you again. Last wednesday evening I was the next caller in the queue for 30 minutes.

I’ve used CarHireExcess a few times now…
I’ve used CarHireExcess a few times now on our US holidays and it’s been great every time. It’s really affordable and easy to deal with. We had a puncture once and the reimbursement was sorted out quickly with no hassle. Definitely a company I’d recommend, and I’ll keep using them for our holiday car rentals.

Reasonable price.
So far, so good.
I suppose the test comes if I need to use the benefits of the policy...but, of course, I don't want to!

Fast and hassle-free claim process
Bought insurance from CarHireExcess for several years, but until recently never had a claim so couldn't comment on their services. Unfortunatelly, had an incident with a rented car recently and had to submit a claim to CarHireExcess. I submitted the claim online. After that, all the communication was over email.
They were very quick to come back and once I submitted all the supporting documentation, the claim was processed and reimbursment credited to my bank account in less than a week. Couldn't recommend their services more.
