I love Car Part Planet, because of the ease of shopping AND buying. This will be the second transmission I have bought off of this website, and even 100,000 miles later, the first one has 0 issues! I will always use Car Part Planet!

BAD MOTOR BAD MOTOR
BOUGHT A MOTOR FROM THIS PEOPLE leSS than 300 miles AFTER GOT A BROKEN PISTON #2 I HAVENT HAVE A CAR IN TWO MONTHS JUST CAUSE WARRANTY DEPARTMENT HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO HELP ME THEY JUST KEEP LYING TO ME

Scammers. Sold me an engine, then they never sent it. A month later I was finally able to get it sent they said for some reason it never got picked up… they wouldn’t offer labor warranty but could guarantee it works. Engine was bad .. I wanted a refund. they would not give me a refund but would only send a replacement. They didn’t want the original engine back even though mechanic offered to send it back, and they did send a replacement. The replacement was also bad. Now that I owe labor costs for to install and remove 2 bad engines!! I said I will take nothing other than a refund- and I should have gotten a refund like I asked for the first time so I could have just gotten an engine that works somewhere else! They said they didn’t have any more engine for my vehicle so all they could offer was a refund but they wanted those engines back first.

(Why would they want to take back engines that don’t work? So they can sell them to somebody else and scam them too? )

If I wanted the car fixed, I would now have to get refunded and buy another engine from somewhere else & pay to have installed for the third time.

But at that point it was almost not worth spending the money to fix the car.

I would have put an engine one one more time because I loved the vehicle so much and really wanted to keep it. But if that one didn’t work, I would have said screw it.

I ended up having to let the vehicle go anyway, and I never got my refund. I dumped a ton of money in to the vehicle for nothing. I got scammed and wasted a bunch of my time.

The mechanic did not want to release the engines to car part planet unless I paid for the cost of labor which was the same cost of the engine.

At that point I couldn’t even trust car part planet to give me my money back, so I am definitely not going to take thousands of dollars of out of my pocket to pay for a vehicle that is not fixed and can’t drive with no engine & trust that I’ll get reimbursed to buy a engine from somewhere else.
At that point I don’t think the mechanic even wanted to try to put in another engine.

I would pay for the fixed vehicle. I was actually only obligated to pay when the job was done. I took it to the mechanic to pay to have it fixed, not to have to have it towed out of there and then to another mechanic. I would have gotten a new engine and paid one more time for labor only because the vehicle was worth it to me, it was in excellent condition. Perfect!

But I wasn’t going to risk losing thousands more dollars after already wasting so much money and time on it.

I will never ever deal with this company again. I’d highly recommend to take your business elsewhere. I have never experienced such manipulative, horrible customer service.

Update: the response from car part planet is completely manipulated. I paid for the engine in 2 payments back to back, because my card only authorizes a certain amount to be spent per day so I had to wait 24 hours to process the second payment for the remainder. Then my engine was supposed to be sent and it wasn’t sent for at least a month.

Also I asked for a refund after the first bad engine, and was only offered another replacement again with no labor warranty but again them telling me they could guarantee it worked. they didn’t want the first bad engine returned but after sending me another bad engine they wanted that one returned for me to be able to get my refund…most likely because they didn’t have any more of those engines left and would resell the bad engine to somebody else.

Scam like I said.

No legitimate company would ever be ok with providing this type of product - especially more than once, and providing this type of customer service.

The reality is that I got scammed.

At this point u don’t even expect or want my money back- but I will not at least share my experience if I could possibly help another potential customer not have to go through all that I went through with this company.

Easy interaction. Good warranty. Accurate product info. Good price.

Both transmission from them after 5 months 1,2 gear start going bed took it to the same shop that installed the transmission they took it to the lift check, sad that seal was liking and it need to be fixed before released back to me, contacted warranty Department they sad will send you link please fill up, never received anything from warranty Department had to pay from my pocket for repair, 1,300$ after finally got thru they told me bill was paid and there is nothings we can do. Transmission still drives badd, the shop told me when they received transmission for replacement it did not even looked like rebuild more like used and not in best condition even if i paid full price for rebuild transmission..

they set me the wrong motor i i am not going in to a big spill but with that said there the people that r the professionals yea right u would think that but make sure that when u get a motor or what ever u get make sure it has the paper work for what u ordered they just told me sorry about that ask to try to get compensated a little for it if it would of had paper work on the motor i would have know they sent me the wrong motor an would have sent it back so buyer beware U GOT TO DO THERE JOB

I was glad to be able to get a transmission without a core to start. The warranty is better than others and the transmission look as if it was new. Even though it took over 2 months to arrive, the price and warranty was worth the wait. Thanks

THE ONLY BIG PROBLEM WITH CAR PART PLANET is that they do not return the core charge. if you want your money back, you have to call 10 times and wait 4 to 5 hours to wait for somebody to pick up the phone, then... they tell you wait 1 week, after 1 week you will call back and tell you wait another week... etc.
they sucks !!!! if you are stupid, buy here !!!!

If I could rate without giving a star I would. I originally bought a transmission with this company in good faith, but after TWO defective units were received, I was waiting for my THIRD replacement. When the 1st replacement to my 2nd defective unit was brought to the shop it happened to be the wrong transmission. I have received a total of 3 replacement units for the defective unit and still waiting for this to be escalated and handled appropriately to be sent the correct transmission. They show no empathy and lack quality care for consumers. Will again never use this company again let alone refer anyone to them.
