As discussed during our call this morning, we have never advertised free delivery over £60. However, if you have seen this advertised anywhere, we would really appreciate it if you could let us know so we can look into this further.
In regard to our delivery costs, we do charge postage separately from our product prices. This approach allows us to keep prices fair for customers who may prefer to collect or store items with us, rather than including delivery costs for everyone.
We are aware that some competitors advertise “free delivery” by incorporating the cost into their product pricing. While our postage is shown separately, we always aim to remain competitive overall when comparing total costs.

We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience and that our pricing process was not as clear as it should have been.
Following your initial enquiry, a member of our team has since been in touch to explain that the valuation provided at that stage was for insurance purposes only while your item was in transit.
Due to the nature of the gold market, prices are not fixed at the point of enquiry and can only be locked in within 24 hours of us receiving the parcel.
On this occasion, the gold price unfortunately moved downward before your item arrived, which is why the final offer differed from the earlier estimate. As with all transactions, had the market price increased, the valuation would have reflected this higher rate.
We sincerely apologise if this process was not made clear at the outset and will be reviewing how we communicate these details to ensure greater transparency for our customers.

Best prices for metals in the UK?
Easy to book a showroom appointment on Chards website (Note: booking is mandatory). Appointment was confirmed immediately via email.
The Blackpool showroom is easy to get to from the motorway network being situated only a few streets away from the airport. There is ample parking in the area.
Appointment (to sell and buy) was dealt with politeness and efficiency by Derek. He also gave me some interesting information about what I was buying and about other items on display in the shop.
I got a very good price for the items I was selling. I think that Chards probably offer the best prices for metals in the UK.
I have dealt with Chards for several years and it has been a very good experience every time.
Highly recommend them.

I've dealt with chards buying and selling for over two years
I've dealt with chards buying and selling over the last two or so years. I've had nothing but good, polite, friendly and efficient service at their Blackpool outlet. Their prices paid are very good and above spot for certain metals at certain times. Markups are reasonable and acceptable. At my last appointment I was served by Derek. He was kind friendly and helpful in every way.
