Knowledge and passion of the assessor was palpable. Even though I consider myself to have a higher than average level of knowledge I learnt lots from the visit and identified all the major drafts in our house.

A really interesting and revealing survey , highlighting how even small cracks and gaps. can have a big negative impact on your homes warmth . Received some really useful information and suggestions on easy fixes to reduce heat loss around the house. Really recommend these guys if you are considering a Thermal imaging survey. I learnt a lot and enjoyed the whole process.

This was one of the most beneficial things we have done for our house in recent years. I cannot give 10 stars but would if I could as the survey was so useful!
We have just had a visit from the highly knowledgeable Jo who came to assess where our Victorian house losses heat . With the help of thermal imaging equipment and a huge fan which sucks air out of your house via the front door, Jo took us through every room and showed us exactly where we are losing valuable heat . Not only did she highlight problem areas, she was a source of detailed solutions for each area where heat loss was detected .
We now have a really comprehensive list of things to fix , and we know how to fix them . Interestingly, many fixes are very straightforward , like ensuring sash windows have not dropped and are not properly closed, fitting draught excluder strips around doors and insulating fireplaces . She also gave us very comprehensive advice on how to insulate our loft and what to use .
This is an invaluable survey for any size house as we now feel confident about how to reduce our heat loss and energy consumption. Jo did a wonderful job and explained everything with great care and professionalism.

The surveyor was friendly, well-spoken with good language skills, and excellent communication skills. The survey was good .

The booking process was very easy and the details of the survey and costs clearly and transparently explained. The surveyor arrived on time and explained what he would do, and then carried out the survey, explaining all the findings as he went. Boysey, the surveyor, was very patient and helpful with his suggestions of what needed to be done. It was worthwhile and has spurred into taking some simple heat saving measures already.

The survey was very thorough and informative. It wasn't rushed, we went to each room in turn finding cold stops and drafts. A few surprises along the way, with some very simple solutions. The surveyor (Boycee) was polite, helpful and very knowledgeable.

Rob came to do a heat loss survey on our 130 year old house a month ago and it was an amazing experience! He was so professional, friendly, thorough and knowledgeable and it was great to play such an active part in the imaging - going from room to room watching on the thermal camera the areas where cold air was being drawn into the house. There were so many!
We were encouraged to note down all the areas that needed attention, many could be done almost immediately or only required a little adjustment of window closures or tiny holes needing filling etc to bigger jobs that need more attention that we will get to in the fullness of time.
This survey is a must for anyone interested in reducing their heating bills or general heat loss from their home. Would absolutely recommend.

We had an absolutely exceptional experience with CHEESE. I’m pretty sure we weren’t necessarily supposed to enjoy the survey, but we had a great time. Rob was just amazing; super friendly, experienced and knowledgeable, and an absolute pleasure have in our home and spend a few hours with. He identified so many things we could look at and spots where heat was escaping. The best advice he gave us was to put them in order of what we could realistically do first, easily and cheaply. I spent an entire day today getting to jobs identified, and we haven’t had our heating in on all day since 2pm… it’s now 21.40, and it’s 20th December!

We can’t recommend this survey enough. An absolute must, and we regret not doing something like this sooner.

I recently had a thermal imaging survey carried by Jo to investigate some drafts in our home. Jo was extremely thorough and gave us advice on how to fix some of the problems identified. The survey is excellent value for money at a subsidised cost by using the vouchers from Retrofit West, highly recommend everyone to get a thermal survey!

A really detailed and thorough survey that’s confirmed potential issues and uncovered lots of unknown ones. The survey was excellent and highly l knowledgeable. I feel like I’ve got a very strong action plan I can begin right away.

Really informative and loads of great DIY suggestions given. The process is long and you do need to be able to follow around for a few hours to get all the information but it is recorded in case you miss things!

After a frantic day moving furniture away from external walls prior to our survey, our surveyor Chris arrived promptly the following morning, explained the process and encouraged us to ask questions throughout.

He was really knowledgeable and answered all our queries during the survey, making suggestions for remedial works which we could undertake ourselves, as well as larger projects which would require professional assistance.

We found the whole survey really informative and the entire process with both thermal images and conventional was recorded onto a memory stick for us to refer back to and prioritise work going forward.

Our Thermal imaging survey was a fascinating and very useful incite into our property’s strengths,areas for improvement in terms of insulation and heat loss. We now have a clear priority list and some very practical tips about to improve the insulation of our home and feel empowered to put significant improvements in place ourselves. Boycee was very thorough and couldn't have done any more to answer questions and also share his vast experience of solutions and things to think about.

The steps leading up to the survey being carried out were easy and the cost (subsidised) very affordable. Chris the surveyor was helpful and very knowledgeable. He spent well over two hours going round each room in our house assessing for defects which would impact on our comfort and made really helpful recommendations. I would really recommend everyone who can to obtain a CHEESE survey.
