This is my second order from Chris - both small orders of tools and materials - and they both arrived very quickly. The tools are very high quality and did the job just fine. I found the fretwire was quite a bit harder than I had bought elsewhere in the past - a good thing. Also Chris responded very quickly to emailed queries. Altogether a very satisfying experience.

Purchased Alsop fret crowning files as an alternative to MusicNomad which would have been shipped from the US.

The tools I ordered are well made and were very easy to use.

I bought a Fender thinline classical guitar but as with most classical guitars the G and B strings play sharper the further you get up the neck. So I searched the net for a compensated bridge saddle for a classical.
Chris Alsop came up as a suggestion so once I’d checked out the reviews I removed the existing saddle and made some very accurate measurements. The questions on the order form were straightforward and easy to answer, measurements entered I was advised the process would take a few days.
That was Monday. This morning, Thursday, the saddle arrived along with a short instructional DVD and various abrasive papers and a piece of Scotchbrite.

So armed with my digital callipers I checked the saddle and the accuracy is absolutely spot on.
All I had to do was polish up the contact points as stated on the instructions and fit it.

I am very happy with how the intonation sounds now and have no hesitation in recommending Chris and his skills to anyone looking for saddle and nut replacements

Great looking and sounding Nut, once placed. The measurements of the part are made highly accurate. Although I had to sand down the inside of the thickness of the nut a bit and file the slots open.
It made me satisfied.
