Don’t go here if you want test results to come back
I went to CityMD on August 1st and the doc took a culture to test for varicella zoster (shingles). Turnaround indicated was 3 days. Today is 8 days later and I’ve gotten a different excuse every day this week for why the results are. It reported back from the lab. I’ve spoken to 6 aftercare specialists over the past few days, each promising (after speaking to the lab) that the results would be in next day. Well, today was told it might be another 2-3 days. Totally unacceptable for a 3-day test to take 12 days for results to be reported, and I honestly doubt they’ll be available on day 12. Helluva a way to diagnose a patient.
A Sunday at CityMd in Merrick
I went to CityMd in Merrick, Long Island with a simple request. I needed to have the dressing removed from a procedure on my ear and have it replaced with a clean dressing. (Logistically. I could not do this myself). Dr Russel Raskin was on duty, and it turned into an unpleasant experience. When he walked in, he was not friendly, and he reeked of arrogance and intolerance. I showed him my aftercare instructions and he had an issue with part of the instructions. He then said to me, "you're not the first knucklehead to be sent here with poor instructions." I said, knucklehead?" It was not an attempt at humor but a hostile comment that he let hang in the air. The assistant in the room was even getting uncomfortable with his mood and comments. He changed the dressing and actually did a horrible job with the re-dress. I had another medical issue, but I decided I did not want to deal with him anymore. This was not a doctor having a bad day but rather a person with a personality flaw. He was arrogant, rude, and unprofessional. Overall, it appeared he had a Napoleonic complex.
I've just been to CityMD Eastchester…not a good experience, the doctor doesn't listen to his patients?
I've just been to CityMD Eastchester Urgent Care. The doctor's assistant was helpful & pleasant. But my experience with the doctor was awful, to say the least. I've got an acute ear infection & discharge in both ears with swollen lymph nodes & difficulty swallowing. And I told the doc putting drops in my already blocked ears is not what I want. He refused to listen to me & I almost got into an argument with him. I wouldn't recommend going to this urgent care!
Tavion green and P.A Lucke
Tavion green and P.A lucke Was awesome
I came in not feeling the greatest they asked all the right questions they address all my needs they even asked me like being that I had to be put on antibiotic you know does it causes me to get yeast infections with this which is very rare for male doctors to even ask so the fact that they even ask those questions was like a plus for me they were awesome they were great I give my experience five stars because it was a five star the fact that they were both males and asking me about you know my female parts and the fact that if I take my medication is it going to cause me to get infections was definitely a question for me you know not female doctors don't ask those questions and every time I take antibiotic I get a yeast infection so the fact that they even know that was a plus I hope that they keep up the great work and I would come back if I need to just off of that experience alone
STRICTLY FOR PROFIT ENTERPRISE
STRICTLY FOR PROFIT ENTERPRISE I went to them on memorial day weekend as I couldn't get in to see my regular doctor who had diagnosed with pneumonia had x-ray, which still showed pneumonia. Doc prescribed another antibiotic (2nd one) plus a cough suppressant. I called them for a repeat when I ran out of the cough suppressant and they said you have to come in. I said that I'm too sick to do so and they would not help me at all. I will never go there again.

CityMD on 5th Ave in Park Slope used to…
CityMD on 5th Ave in Park Slope used to be AMAZING. Far better than a regular visit to a PC. Knowledgeable and experienced doctors with incredible bedside manner. But in the last year (I have been twice) and both experiences have been subpar (at best) and a far cry from previous visits. Not sure what changed here. Really disappointing - I sadly won't go back.
Excellent experience at CITY MD urgent…
Excellent experience at CITY MD urgent care in Rye Ridge. Walk in clinic… i called ahead and was told there was only one person waiting. Brought my mom right over there and she was seen without much wait at all. Dr uebber examines her wrist and hand carefully, got her an xray, and prescribed medication for the swelling and pain, referred her to a hand specialist, and gave her a sling to keep it elevated. I asked about getting her a flu shot while she was there, but the Doc said no, as my mom already had something going on with the swelling she didn’t was to introduce any more to her immune system at this time, which is perfectly right… they of course make more money if they can give the shot but for good medical reasons, they refused. Rooms are nice, clean, roomy.
CityMD is a scam
CityMD is a scam; their doctors won't treat you and still charge you $400 for a five-minute visit without any proper diagnoses. I visited different locations in New York City, and both doctors I saw were unprofessional and unable to prescribe me proper medication. One of the doctors even told me, 'I don't know,' and charged me more than $300 for not knowing. Stay away and read reviews before visiting.
Unethical billing cash grab site stay…
Unethical billing cash grab site stay away. Poor service
Scam
Avoid at all costs
Predatory. They’re not interested in providing care. They’re interested in taking as much of your money as possible. I literally cannot breathe and they will not write a prescription refill for a unscheduled substance (albuterol) and instead are saying I need to pay another $250 which I don’t have to be seen again to be “reevaluated” even though I’ve had asthma all my life. Avoid at all costs. Healthcare in the US is a nightmare especially if you don’t have insurance, and City MD is part of the problem, not the solution.
I can’t get an answer!
I called for my results as the email instructed and was connected to another country. The woman COULD NOT answer my questions and was talking about a date in October when November was my first time there! She told me she was a clinician but couldn’t read the report. I called the office back only to be told the same thing. I’m still sick 3 days later and it cost $100!
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. They could not get my prescription through to the pharmacy. I had to call them 4 times to get them to send the prescription to the pharmacy (the staff on phone assistance could not care less that I was waiting for my prescription sick inside the pharmacy), while dozens of other people were getting their prescriptions just fine while I waited for 1.5 hours at the pharmacy. In the 3rd call, CityMD reassured me that they talked to the pharmacy, and that they had received the prescription. However, the pharmacy had still not received it and CityMD would not return the pharmacy's calls. After the final 4th call, it got done.
Lost sample and no results
I went in person to office located at 256 Utica Ave, Brooklyn, NY on 9-14-23 8:08PM. I submitted 2 urine samples (2 separate cups) for a full STDs test and I was informed that the results will take 5 days.
Since then I checked daily updates on the CityMD app to no avail. No updates, no results.
On 9-22-23 I decided to call the office 718-571-9355 and after speaking with a female with an Indian accent she said: We have no record with your name.
In short: CityMD lost and/or did NOT properly submit my urine sample to be tested.
How can you trust CityMD if they lost the chain of custody of your sample?
Totally irresponsible.
I will NEVER enter CityMD again and will tell as many people as I can about CityMD's lack of professionalism, empathy and care.
Sincerely,
One pissed off never-again-client
Misleading info on website
I went to the Middletown, NJ location. Office was clean and staff was friendly. The website has misleading info. I went for a gynecological issue involving abdominal pain which their website indicates they would handle. The doctor told me I had to go see a gynecological after ruling out a UTI. I picked there over cvs minute clinic as I thought from their website they could do more for me. I paid more for basically what I could have gotten out of CVS.
I went to a city MD in Fordham Road
I went to a city MD in Fordham Road. The date was September 01 2022 I went for a ankle injury and a back injury but the only thing they put down was my back and not my ankle injury and that is missing from my medical records and I don’t know why they messed up and this can cost me my case I was told by the doctor they do not deal with the foot that I had to seek a foot specialist on my own but they did give me a referral, but they never put it down
Exceptional Experience at City MD Queens Village - A True Testament to Outstanding Servicecently had the pleasure of visiting…
I recently had the pleasure of visiting City MD in Queens Village, located at 224-05 Jamaica Ave, for a pre-employment drug test on Thursday afternoon, April 6th, 2023. The experience was nothing short of fantastic, and I feel compelled to share my story with others.
From the moment I entered the facility, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism, which set the tone for the entire visit. Ellenor, the manager, and Ms. Joan, the medical assistant, were the epitome of kindness, patience, and professionalism. Their combined efforts made my visit a truly memorable one (I hope they get a chance to read this review as they’ll remember why lol)
Initially, I was concerned about the potential wait time, as I knew Ms. Joan was out for lunch when I arrived. However, Ellenor quickly took charge of the situation and ensured that I was taken care of in a timely manner. Her initiative and dedication to providing exceptional service truly set her apart.
When Ms. Joan returned from lunch, she joined Ellenor and seamlessly continued the process. It was evident that they worked together as a cohesive and efficient team. Their attentiveness and genuine care for my well-being were truly impressive, and I felt at ease throughout the entire process.
To top off an already outstanding experience, I was thrilled to receive my results (negative) the very next day! The prompt turnaround was an added bonus to an already superb experience, allowing me to move forward in my new job.
I cannot recommend City MD Queens Village enough for its top-notch service and exceptional staff. Ellenor and Ms. Joan's unwavering commitment to patient care have set the bar high for any future medical encounters. If you're in need of medical services in Queens Village, look no further than City MD - you won't be disappointed.
Billing issues
I have been trying to dispute a bill for several months. They don't answer the phones, they don't reply to emails, and I have wrote a letter in place of a check. They still have not fixed the billing issues and they do not respond. Beginning to think they are the biggest scam. Avoid at any cost
Their service is awful
Their service is awful. I had PAs who did not even perform a throat culture swab correctly there. But mostly, their customer service is terrible. Their phone assistance go on for hours unanswered, all in vain, because you never actually reach a human being. They send you the bill and there is no way to dispute. They wont reply your email either. They are unprepared and just terrible. NEVER going there again.
Please DON’T visit in an emergency…
Please DON’T visit in an emergency situation!!! The worst service!!! You can go there if you are ready to pay a few more hundred bucks for the bill that can be given to you after a year from an appointment!! I try to tell my story short. I went to the CityMD in July 2021 (Yes, almost a year ago). At the front desk, I asked for the service (I had a rash and I wanted to see a doctor) and the price with my insurance. I highlighted that I am an international student and my insurance was provided by the school so I don’t know how everything works. A woman at the front desk checked everything and convinced me that I’d be paying only $50 (in this case I agreed for the service, as I wasn’t able to pay anything more than $100.)
Two weeks ago from today June 2022. I got a bill that stated you need to pay almost $200 more. I called the billing department and they said it’s not our problem but your insurance declined to pay the rest. I called insurance and it appeared I didn’t have coverage for June and July of that year (no one ever told me about it and there is nothing on my insurance card about it), and they sent me again to CityMD and suggested to continue my case with them as it is not their competency.
Ok, back to CityMD, I want to notice from now on for every operator I was waiting around 30 minutes!!!! I called them back operator didn’t help me and I ask for a manager (name Attala if I spell it right) so she said the manager was busy and they promised to call back. When I called them back the next day they said to give them up to 48 hours. Ok, I waited for 96 hours. Didn’t get a callback. I called them again, manager Anna told me that it’s the patient responsibility to check their insurance dates and I must pay that bill because I signed something that stated that patients are also responsible for any extra payment that can appear after an appointment (the fact that they made this bill a year after (maybe I would be fine if it arrived like in a month))
Then I asked this manager for a copy of these documents that I signed, she transferred me to another line and I couldn’t reach another department because when I clicked any of the options they repeated. I called the billing department again. The man was rude to me and didn’t want to transfer to a manager (he said she is busy) he promised a manager would get back to me. Never happened… please choose another urgent care
Customer service at CityMD is the worst
