1st time coming to the event
1st time coming to the event. It was fun. Nice to have people come around and not have to go up to a random person. The dates could have been a bit longer.

This is a reply from my previous post, it’s under the name Jenny, my name isn’t Jenny so I have no idea how that happened
Anyway, city swoon stated that the customers safety is paramount and if there is anyone who is drunk or abusive they will kick them out. Yet, they didn’t. The worker led the clearly drunk male over to me and walked away. After being rude and belligerent to me he staggered to the toilet pushing over his jacket and sunglasses onto the floor and not even realising it. The bar staff!! Not! City Swoon staff, came over to me to ask if I’m ok and said they cut him off. I didn’t say anything to city swoon staff because I was concerned for my safety and they obviously are not concerned. I did put in a complaint and they said due to them being so busy (probably dealing with many, many complaints) they would investigate but may take awhile to get back to me. They didn’t get back to me at all. I submitted my review in February and they have only just responded. It’s the end of September. I think that tells you all you need to know about this company.
They also rip you off and only care about money, not about the safety of women. They are supposed to have a duty of care and they don’t. They are also rubbish at matching people and their stats are not accurate with successful matches. The women I spoke to on the night talked about how bad it is

City Swoon is a scammy low value…
City Swoon is a scammy low value company. They are disgusting. They charge you a late fee of $19 for cancelling an event. Just their way of squeezing more money from you. Their “online dating” is a complete joke. Very poor quality photos of potential matches! Do not give them a cent! They love to find ways to take your money and provide the lowest of value in their dating service. Awful experience. Rip off scammy company.

In my many years of dealing with so many companies, I have to say this is the absolute worst of all time. That is because of the level of rudeness, aggressiveness and verbal (written)abuse. Customer service is allowed to, and looks like they are taught to inflict on the customers. we have to avoid this company even if you had a good experience because if you don’t do what they want you to do or you happen to try and cancel, you will suffer the wrath unnecessarily. There’s so many others.

A complete and utter distasteful data scrub. To think that data thugs use dating sites to collect data so that your ‘matches’ are utilised to scam you. Disgusting. DO NOT ATTEND THEIR EVENTS. As usual there is zero policing Or accountability for these scammers artists who entice vulnerable people for their ends.

CitySwoon cancelled the event a few…
CitySwoon cancelled the event a few hours before start time because of attendance imbalance/cancellations, then offered only a future credit instead of an automatic refund. The credit also does not appear online and requires manual email booking. That is a poor customer experience for a paid event cancelled by the organizer.

Cowardly Management & Unjustified Bans: Avoid This Mess
CitySwoon is a masterclass in how to run a business with zero integrity. They recently terminated my account for "actions" that were never once brought to my attention—not by the venue staff, not by the event host, and not by a single fellow member. It is cowardly and fundamentally unfair to ban a paying customer based on secret allegations that were never verified through a proper investigation.The management here is incredibly amateur. I was actually the one subjected to verbal hostility at an event, yet instead of performing an ounce of due diligence, CitySwoon chose to weaponize hearsay and penalize the wrong person. They refuse to listen to facts, ignore outreach for days, and hide behind unjustified account closures because they lack the backbone to conduct a neutral inquiry.Save your money and go to a competitor. There are plenty of professional services that actually value the truth and treat their patrons with respect—concepts that are clearly foreign to the incompetent team at CitySwoon.

This is a terrible service
This is a terrible service. I attended one event and it was insulting. They do not have enough worthwhile men signing up. They report to match you after a "careful" analysis of your core beliefs and interests. I was matched up with the same exact people that every other woman was matched up with in the room. None of the men even remotely fit my preferences as far as politics, religion, education or professional status. I had nothing in common with any of them and was dying to leave. They also gouge you with charges after the fact. They misrepresent their matching techniques. Do not join this!

CitySwoon Inaction on Misconduct
Beware CitySwoon. They do not give refunds, even when they themselves are the ones who cancel events. They'll give you a credit for a future event, but what if you don't want to attend?
Their algorithms set you up with people who never show up, are late, or disappear without warning. When I complained about this behaviour, they not only took no action, but gave me a warning and threatened to terminate my account.
In the past four months, I was assigned eight dates who chose to disappear. Two spent our assigned date in line waiting for a drink. Another chose that moment to "stretch her legs", though only for my round. At one event, five of my six assigned dates were no-shows. Again, no refund.
If you draw attention to disrespectful behaviour, CitySwoon will label YOU the problem and revoke your membership.

When events are postponed due to circumstances outside our control, we work to accommodate ticket holders, typically by offering a credit for a future event. We understand this won't suit everyone, but it allows us to maintain balanced events while giving customers the opportunity to attend another date.
We also take reports of inappropriate or disruptive behaviour seriously. If attendees repeatedly fail to participate in their assigned dates or behave in a way that impacts others, we investigate and take action where appropriate. Likewise, where concerns are raised about a customer's own conduct or interactions with other attendees, we review these carefully to help ensure our events remain respectful and enjoyable for everyone.
As we can't discuss the details of individual customer accounts publicly, we're unable to comment on the specific circumstances you describe. We do, however, appreciate your feedback and are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations.

Give this company a VERY WIDE BERTH
Give this company a VERY WIDE BERTH. They take your money, cancel events on the day and then tell you that you are not entitled to a refund but only a credit voucher. Outrageous, how can they refuse to refund you for a service not provided?! They also hoodwink you into signing up to their dating site to match with people at the event, then cancel the event. I politely asked for my money back. I told them that I felt they had mis-sold the dating service but they clearly only care about the money. They reluctantly refunded the event cost (they were obliged to do that by law) but not the £78 for the dating website as they said this is separate. It isn't! An absolute rip-off. If you want to try a really good face to face dating service events company then “It’s a Date” is excellent. I've attended an event which was excellent. DO NOT SIGN up to anything for City Swoon.
