I am a plumbing contractor in the Bay Area that had three high interest loans and contacted coastal debt resolve to discuss my situation with Craig their representative that convinced me that their company had experience negotiating high intent loans and would help me set up a account to pay back the existing loans after negotiating for a lower amount .i paid into the account 5000 a month for over a year ..over 70 k I during this time I made payments into a account ..one loan was negotiated and 12000 was paid into the a plan I agreed to and there is a balance of about 25 k left as far as the rest over 30 k was charged into my account by coastal debt of which 19000 was a “standard fee”and the other fees charged on top..I trusted Craig and this company and waited till recently detailed report ..the customer service rep gave me some link and told me to look it up myself..I saw so many chargesand tried to call Craig who ghosted me-and finally I just had a conversation with with a account manager that gave me the news of their “standard fee” and other charges that I accumulated for the “membership fees “and weekly fees ..Such a rip off ..I have decided to hire a lawyer to represent me and try to really resolve this unethical relationship with coastal debt resolve..maybe this review will warn others to beware of this company and not have a similar experience..Craig told me he would be available to discuss my account not true and that my loans would be settled by their company for a fair amount not true..Anyway I learned a important lesson and I I sure hope that this company will realize at some point they took advantage of a hard working contractor that needed some help and that is unethical ...this company refunded my balance and terminated my account hours after posting this review without notifying me..what about my payment plan they negotiated? could they send me information about my account that was settled after keeping over 30000 of my money ?,,their response was i should ask questions about how much money they were gunna unethicaally take 19 k a "standard fee"and another 13000 in additional fees ..them taking my money and then closing my account after asking for some sort of written report shows how shady they are..i caught thier hands in the cookie jar but apperently too late..time to hire a lawyer and sue them as well as warn anyone that might consider hiring them..they didnt deny taking my money and claiming it as some reward for settling one loan..what a messed up company..i researched on reddit that on average coastal debt resolve usually charges 20 percent of the settled debt..they vharged me over 33000 for the one debt by suibtracting over 49 percent of my account balance in a secured account and refused to give me a written report of the "fees".coastal debt has decided i am not a good client that signed a contract ..deposited over 70 k in a secure account and when i asked for a written report of "fees" i was denied that information.I have given them 72 hours to return the money collected in "fees"or i will hire a busness lawyer to launch a civil suit for breach of contract ..possible fraud and illegally taking money out of my secure account.i will also have the firm launch a criminal complaint There are two sides of a story and this is mine ..i will continue to post updating my experience ..there are laws in this country ..a update..january 13 th..After contacting Coastal asking for a full report on how they withdrew money from a secure account with the details of fees there was no response along with making a demand to get my money back as they decided to not continue to fullfill their contract and do the job they paid themselves out of my "secure account"it is time to find a lawyer to file a civil lawsuit and make a criminal complaint against coastal for fraud and embezzlement of funds.They made a response below how they settled a loan yet they didnt gibe me information to pay the loan after they dropped my case...I will continue to update this review and try to warn folks about this company of unethical scammers that took advantage of a hard working contractor that was trying to resolve debt and was promised help and at the end of the day the removed. over$ 33000 of money in a secure account to pay themselves "fees"only $12000 paid to one creditor and left$ 25768.77 that was returned to me out of that "secure account",,,There are laws in this country and Coastal will have to deal with my attorney andf the loss of future clients that might read my review and take their busness to a reliable company

Everyone I've talked with a Coastal Debt Resolve is kind, trustworthy, and guided me in the right direction. I'm grateful that I connected with them when I did.

Do not work with them,.if you reading this then i am sure you are hurting because of those MCA loans and you believe these people might help you, ofcourse they have excellent salespeople. They will show you a dream that everything is going to be fine and you will be back on your feet in a matter of few months etc all you have to do is join their “program” and you will be paying so less from what you are paying now, you will have lawyers all over the country, they have excellent people who negotiate etc and they will be supportive all the time and you will have a paralegal assisting you at all times.. well i fell in this trap and lost $48,000. i wish i had paid these $48,000 to my MCA lenders and negotiated myself but i wasted it with them..months went by and they dint do anything except calling me every monday and asking for payment.. yes i missed few payments, well if i had the money why would i join this so called “program”, also they love to use the word program.all they do is ask for money they wont update you with any case details, infact i have all the emails in which i used to tell them this and this has happened in my case, then they would check the website and say we will get back with an answer but never did. they make you feel that they are your best friend and will help you so you continue..they told me they will put my payments for hold for a month and then i can continue once i am able to save some money, ofcourse it was on a recorded call from them but then their agent said no they never said that and it might be a misunderstanding, if you will ask them for the call recording then ofcourse you know what they will say NO.. they will keep telling you that the payments you are making is in a escrow that you control but no they control it.. they will tell you that you are making payments so they can negotiate but after months of nothing happening, they refusing to help me..they took $48,000 from me and would not refund a single penny..if i would have been smart enough i would just pay the MCA people regarding than this company..they took all this money for what? What did they do?.. on a phone call they will tell you next next next and you dreaming that you will be out of your troubles very soon will happily fight it but i will fight for my hard earned money…i have all the emails from months and voicemails about payments, now whoever will reply to this.. as per their casual routine they will say.. we dont have a case with your name, you dint complete the program or some bs.. if you have made it so far, please do not use them.. the MCA debt collectors are nicer than these people.. i lost a lot of money for nothing, they just have good sales people.

Zane Kerns gave me a call and talked about the program with me, but after talking about my business he let me know that in my case this would hurt my business more than help it since I get paid by ACH. Thanks for being upfront and honest you don’t see that a lot.

Julio and Janice have both been working very hard to resolve some of the issues that I had. East Shore was very difficult to come to a resolution with and they worked with my other vendors to help come to a solution that was good for everyone that was involved. Kept that professional and I am still able to work with that vendor without complications.

They always took my calls, checked in with me weekly and answered all of my questions. Nowadays, it’s hard to find the company that actually cares and I really feel like coastal actually cares. So far I’m very impressed.

This company has been great to work with, they made a very stressful situation manageable! Carlos has been my main point of contact and is great to work with! He calls every week to see how the business is doing and makes sure I have no concerns! And as soon as a lawsuit was filed was proactive and me representation literally within a day! This company made claims of what working with them would save us. They told us that we would make payments to them instead of the lender and that this money would accrue in an account and that when the lender saw that we were meeting these payments they would back off and settle at a lower amount and these funds would be used to settle the debt. CDR advised us to send all communications to them and they would communicate with the lender however never at any time did they make contact with the lender. After the lender sent out UCC 9-409's to all of our customers demanding direct payment to them which cut off nearly all of our income they slowly after 2 1/2 wks sent out a lame response suggesting the customers could continue to pay us if they wished. We wound up settling the account by having 2 customers pay the lender directly (CDR was not involved in the settlement as they had established no lines of communication). We then requested CDR release the funds in the settlement account to help cover the cost of settlement but they refused claiming this money as fees. To the BBB they claimed to have saved us $84,868.17 and insisted they only charged us $40,543.64 in fees but in reality we paid them $66.693.14 so the bottom line is we did save approx $18,175 but wound up having to close our doors due to the fact that nearly all of our AR was tied up for 3 months due to the UCC Filing. I strongly recommend just working directly with your lender to try to find a workable solution to your problems as this method just diverts much of that money to undeserving pockets.

I have been working with Titus Coe since I joined the program. He has been amazing in walking me through the process. He answers every question I have and is always available for me. Replies to every email and message I send him.

My exsperience with this company has been wonderful and my customer service rep Angie Kelly has been the best she has been accurate and profficient professional and curteous. Angie has made what was a nightmare to me in a bussiness aspect a smooth exsperience.
