Juliana does an excellent job at presenting the information in a helpful manner. The training has given me the confidence to implement a new classroom management system and have a more engaging atmosphere.

The Math Engagement Academy is some of the best online professional development. It is great to have PD which is content related. I was looking for help with rubric grading however what I received was so much more. It has jumpstarted my preparations for the school year. I am so excited to start Math Wars in my classroom as well as CHAMPs in my class. This year I hope my kids will not only be engaged in class but their conceptual understanding will increase. I really can't say enough about this training and the support I have received. It is amazing.

This is a huge amount of tips and resources for increasing student engagement in the classroom.

I binged the workshop over a weekend and got to work on implementing it with my class for an end-of-year review activity over 3 days.
I plan on using this in my classes when we return in September. It will be a great tool to keep things fresh and improve accountability with my grade 10 and 11 students.
After just using this strategy for those 3 lessons, I already noticed students were not on their phones AND some of the kids that I NEVER heard participate, actually gave answers when cold-called upon. It was fantastic!
Money well spent!

It is a wonderful course! I believe I have/will become a better teacher because of it. I was able to break down pieces of my instruction even more so that it make more sense to the students and to me!

I enjoyed the self pacing and that I am able to go back and watch a video again to refresh my skills. I also enjoy all of the digital resources that are available.

This course gave me an incredible amount of useful information to use in my Algebra classes. I am looking forward to success with my struggling math students using this approach! I would recommend the Math Wars PD Course to any Math teacher looking for a new and creative approach to teaching math.

I thought the presentation was fun and informative. I have already used the bucket challenge in 3 of my classes. Although, I do not completely support standards based grading, it was informative to hear how to convert standards based to traditional grades.

This was a step-by-step course for improving math education in a classroom. The included materials and instructional videos were clear and helpful.

The Math Wars workshop changes the way I teach. I cannot imagine teaching differently. So many more of my students are now engaged in my lessons.

By far, THE best breakout session of ASCD. We received real and reasonable strategies!!! You allowed us to experience a strategy for a minute or two but it did not feel like it was a time filler. LOVED both the Turbo Talk and breakout session. And did you realize everyone stayed??
