I initially had a couple of nutrition consultations with Junior Hudson through Waggel pet insurance last year. My Lab was experiencing stomach issues and I wasn’t getting very far with vets. Although the problem turned out not to be diet related, Junior was quick to implement a protocol in an attempt to get to the bottom of the issues we were having. I found the information he provided was excellent; so much so, that I reached out to him recently before bringing a new Lab puppy into our home. I wanted to provide our new member of the family with the best nutritional care we could, right from the start, and felt Junior was the person to provide that. I have now had two consultations with him regarding the pup and he was very quick to point out a couple of potential issues that I had overlooked. I have now insured the pup with Waggel and plan to continue working with Junior as and when needed.
An excellent service, would highly recommend to new and experienced dog owners alike.

I’ve had two online chats with Deborah so far to help us with our very cute,but rather barky, princess, Poppy. Deborah has given us so much helpful advice on how to nurture a calmer and less reactive dog.
Poppy is a rescue, and she used to bark quite randomly at people, which made it really difficult to anticipate or manage the situation. It caused me a lot of anxiety, as the last thing I want is for anyone to think my lovely girl is “bad” she’s absolutely delightful, just a little unpredictable at times!
After speaking with Deborah and putting her wonderful tips and action steps into practice, I started to see changes in Poppy’s behaviour within just a couple of days. I can now enjoy our walks together without feeling so stressed, which is such a relief.

Got in touch via Waggel about my cat whose 12.5 years old and has Cognitive dysfunction, other than this she is healthy. I booked a session with a Nutritional expert, Lauren, she's fantastic, knows her stuff and so friendly and easy to talk with, after my chat with Lauren, I ordered some natural foods and supplements for my cat, hope these will help and I know I can book another session if I need more advice. Fantastic service.

I’d like to extend a special thank you to Junior Hudson, whose support has been absolutely invaluable, especially when I was struggling with my puppy Lucky’s meals. He provided flexible, readily available virtual guidance that made all the difference, and his expertise meant I didn’t have to rush Lucky to the vet unnecessarily.

Unbeknownst to me, Lucky had ingested some carpet fibres he shouldn’t have, and after he vomited, I was unsure how to proceed.

Before reaching out to Junior, I had turned to good ol’ ChatGPT for support with Lucky’s feeding issues. While it offered some helpful tips and tricks, like warming up the water to encourage eating, we weren’t able to get to the root cause of why Lucky was skipping his meals. Junior, on the other hand, suggested more effective alternatives like using a snuffle mat or feeding from a flat surface. He was also able to explain more clearly why Lucky might be refusing his food. Unfortunately, even after trying all of this, Lucky still wasn’t finishing his meals, and we’re now considering a diet change as the next step.

When Lucky vomited after ingesting the carpet fibre, he also stopped eating his kibble. I asked ChatGPT if and how much I should feed him, but the guidance I received was unfortunately incorrect. Had I relied solely on that advice, I might have left my puppy unfed, which could have been dangerous, as he hadn’t yet passed the fibres. The next day, I contacted Junior, who advised me to feed Lucky a bland diet for a few days and gave me the correct amount, along with the reassurance I truly needed.

At the end of the day, you can’t compare AI to a qualified professional who truly understands animals. Junior’s experience, instinct, and calm, knowledgeable advice were exactly what Lucky and I needed. The service he provides through my insurance has been a real lifeline — professional, accessible, and genuinely caring. Lucky and I are very grateful.

First session with Deborah, she listened to my problems with my 4year old standard schnauzer who I rehomed 4 weeks ago, I needed reassurance that I was using the the correct strategies to help her overcome her problems. Deborah also gave helpful advice about taking her out as she is very stressed in the outside world. I will have more sessions as time goes on

We have had two online chats with Deborah so far - to help us with our very cute but barky cockapoo. She has patiently listened and given lots of really helpful advice on how we can nurture a calmer less reactive dog and a quieter life for us and our neighbours. We are already starting to see some progress through the strategies and actions she has given us - even after only a couple of weeks. Thank you Deborah! We are very grateful!

I had my first meeting with Deborah Smith today and she made me feel so much better about the situation with my 8 month puppy who has become very aggressive and guarded with spaces and food.

I was really worried about what to do, having sleepless nights and stressful days, I had also used some tactics I found online but when I spoke to Deborah turns out these were the wrong things to be doing!! Deborah has given me the first steps and advice for this week, and today I have already seen a difference, so I think with continued work and meetings my boy will be his happy self again!

100% would recommend people to speak to Deborah or one of her colleagues as the advice online (TikTok, google, Facebook etc.) is not correct, and everyone should seek a professional to help with their dogs behaviour when needed.

Holly is without a doubt an expert in her field and her advice has helped me manage my German shepherd's biting and treating me as prey within one day! No new bites or bruises to my legs and arms. This is a really excellent service. I would not have believed that trying to sort out such problems online would work. Thank you Holly.

I have a 3.5yr old toy poodle who suffers from severe anxiety, excessive barking and sometimes, more recently, aggression. At a total loss and not sure what to do, I found I had access to animal behaviourists and nutritionists through my pet insurance via Companion Animal Wellness. I booked and spoke to Holly the same day and she gave me so much time, patience and amazing advice in just one session. She recommended I speak to Lauren, the nutritionist who was equally knowledgeable and helpful and I've just had another great session with Holly.

In just 3 days, I already feel we have come on leaps and bounds. I have a much better understanding of how Teddy has been feeling and how I can help him overcome his stressors.

I am so grateful for both Holly and Lauren's help and expertise. I am finally feeling a bit of hope that we can help our dog to live a much less stressful and much more calm life.

We have used the Companion Animal Wellness service a few times now provided through Waggel. We have spoken to dog behaviour specialist Junior. We have had a very positive experience and feel very happy and privileged that we can access this specialist service as part of our plan. Junior has provided guidance, insight and specific practical advice for our Labrador who has some ongoing anxieties. We appreciate being able that to access this support as and when needed also.

Holly has been amazing - she takes the time to listen, explains her advice in an easy-to-understand way. Her advice has been spot on and helped tremendously with our dog.

I've been working with Holly and she's nothing short of a miracle worker. Despite sitting dogs for years and having had a rescue at home, I recently rehomed a dog and was not prepared for how drastically different the experience would be. Amidst the mountains of advice floating on the internet, Holly's guidance on how to manage the specific situation of my dog was such a great help! She has always been available to check in and guide me through this stressful time.

Holly has been a great help with my 2 year old reactive miniature dachshund. I honestly thought before working with Holly that dachshund cannot be trained, and it’s just the way they are. Once we introduced Frankie, our dachshund puppy, Queenie’s reactivity got worse and to the point it made waking them unpleasant and as she was so reactive and we could not calm her down.

Since working with Holly over the past couple of months, she has educated me on how to work with Queenie to reduce her stress levels and improve her tolerance levels using positive reinforcement training. She has become a happier and a more tolerant version of herself and I am very happy with her progress so far and will continue with the training. I could not of got to this point, without Holly’s help, so thank you!

Was at a loose end with trying to sort our dogs separation anxiety. This was the ideal way to approach it, we have received fantastic advice and are being guided step by step by Holly our expert with weekly video calls. She is very knowledgeable and friendly and helping us enormously with her advice and instructions. Would totally recommend this service to anyone in a similar situation.
