We love our Thumper hutch

Really Poor Service
I ordered a large chicken coop on a Thursday morning for delivery Friday. Arranged to be home for delivery. I had no contact from delivery company woth a delivery slot, so I rang Coops and Hutches customer services Friday morning. On the phone I was told the APC courier collected early from the warehouse and missed my order. I then got an email from the sales team telling me the courier had my order but it was held up in the courier depot. (2 different stories) I was told it would be out for delivery on the Saturday. This was my husbands birthday so I had to rearrange plans to be home for the delivery. Delivery turned up with only half the order!! No one answered the phone at either coopsandhutches.co.uk or APC. I called coopsandhutches again Monday Morning to complain. I was told the other half of order was due for delivery Monday (yet another day I had to change plans to be home for delivery.) I was promised a call back or email once Sam had spoken to the warehouse/Sales team. Surprise surprise...no phone call, no email. Really poor customer services when spending a lot of money. They're happy to take your money but not deal with your complaint or be honest and say someone messed up.

Waste of Money
The service was fine BUT the product was seriously awful. Maybe we had a bad one. My hubby wanted to build our own but I said it would be quicker to buy one as he is busy building cow shelters. What an error. The quality of the wood was poor. The instructions awful. Missing screws and bolts. Awful locks and bolting mechanism. No way is it predator proof. The floor panel doesn't fit. It wasn't cheap and we didn't want a cheap one. I am disgusted with it. The photographery for the advert is misleading at the best and a down right lie at the worst. Its tiny.
So now my hubby has to build one himself and we have extremely expensive firewood. A very upsetting and soul destroying purchase.

Mixed experience with product quality
The walk-in cage itself is ok, though it feels somewhat flimsy. The main issue I encountered was with the advertised 'Fox Resistant Wire Model.' Despite paying extra for welded 3mm mesh, I received standard 1mm twisted chicken wire. When I raised the problem, the company insisted that it matched their description, even after I sent clear evidence showing otherwise. Ultimately, they only offered a refund for the upgrade, with no solution for replacing the incorrect wire or collecting it. This was disappointing and not the level of service I expected.

I had an issue with my rabbit hutch , and was sent a brand new one out the next day without even asking for it, I was told to keep the old one or sell it on , great customer service my hutch even came with a free weather proof cover , amazing service would recommend 👌

Cute coop. Disappointing initial experience but excellent customer services
Unfortunately three parts of the coop had cracked during transit. Customer services told me they could have replaced these quickly, but we just repaired them. Although the construction was reasonably easy, I feel that the wood is lightweight, so might not last as long as I hoped given that we live on the west coast of Scotland.
*update* on reading the review the customer service department contacted me with huge apologies and have compensated me. I would say that their customer service is proactive and excellent.
They are carrying out an internal investigation as they believe the coop I received had slipped through their quality assurance.

100% reliable a brilliant kind company
An amazing company so helpful when our coop was Delivered, some of the boxes were damaged in transit, no fault of coops and hutchs I contacted them and they were brilliant so kind and helpful they replaced the damage item straight away, I hadn't opened the largest of the parcel's as I needed help in doing that to see if that was ok and Giles said to call back if it was damaged even though it was Christmas nothing was too much trouble, thankfully the large box was ok, but the kindness of this company is second to none amazing, will definitely deal with them again, thank you

Finished coop is fine
Delivery was good but one of the panels was cracked - we had to glue it and mend it because we needed the coop made that day. Instructions are tricky to follow too. However the chickens love the finished product and are very happen which is more important.

Love the chicken house
Love the chicken house, it looks lovely and the design is cool. I also bought the automatic door with it, I love the fact you can add extra stuff when buying the house - so hopefully that is good when I put it together. I did see some comments about the instructions being hard to understand, don’t let this put you off, they are basic but very easy to read.

Really easy to order and delivery super fast get communication when I didnt realise the cover was inside one of the boxes you can easily whats app through the website , we ordered the xl barnyard coop for our mini lop and he loves it lots of room for him, easy to put together and the cover keeps him nice and dry too !

Broken door lock (Order No 81161)
The coop was easy to order, delivered quickly and easy to assemble.
The part that I am miffed about is the chain to hold the door lock broke within 2 days of use. I have emailed the admin twice now with no response once on 01/09/25 and again on 22/09. To not receive a response for nearly a month when I politely asked for a new one to be sent out is poor in my opinion.
If an admin responds, please don’t ask me to contact you as I’ve tried!

Firstly I should be able to choose zero stars!
Very poor quality material & construction, not fit for use without additional materials added for strength & waterproofing, if we had not already started painting the pieces I would have returned it.
No parts list/assembly instructions, several parts missing, 1 part broken. As yet we have not had missing parts sent, 3 days after notifiying seller.
