Crowdspring has owed me a relatively small amount of money (under $500 in total) for over 21 months now. Buyers pay for their projects up front so the winning designer should have their portion of that money within 30 days from the project wrap-up, according to crowdspring's own rules. What are they doing with those prepaid fees if they can't afford to pay the creative, who is actually doing the work, their portion of the project money? For two whole years!! Something is very wrong at Crowdspring. Financial mismanagement? I wonder. Having worked as a creative on this platform for over 10 years my honest opinion is that it has gone from a really fun and positive site to something completely frustrating and unfair. So disappointing. As I remain unpaid, this experience is an ongoing issue since June of 2023 and continuing to the time of this posting in March of 2025. Ridiculous.

Update: As of May 19, 2025, I still have not received payment. And this is only a small amount of money; under $500. June will make two years I've been waiting. They must be paying the creatives who are still actively participating in new projects so they will continue working for them, but holding out on those of us who have stopped participating in further projects because of the scandalous delays in payouts. Seems illegal to me.

As I already mentioned, I also got all my money from these scammers. Now, my friend, the only thing you have to do is to start sending them emails daily and involve clients.

Like somebody rightly said, we creatives are the ones still sustaining this dubious company. If everyone stopped working, clients will stop coming or may even start filing legal suits because as usual CrowdSpring will fail to refund.

So, we need to have a common goal,stop working for these scammers. You are simply making them free money. You will never be paid.

My funds have now been stuck since October 2023 with my account banned just for insisting on getting paid for my work.

Just stop working. Stop wasting your creative energy in the hopes that you'll be paid. Ross Kimbarovsky and his team including Ashlee and Marc are scammers and dubious characters. Crowdspring is Ross Kimbarovsky's cash cow while Jurat Network and Blockchains is his focus.

It's been more than 18 months now, and they still haven't made my payment. I emailed them several times, and every time, they just gave a generic reply.

Why don't they make our payments? We designers are the main reason. We are still supporting them in operating this scam by participating in the contest. The contest price is just a number they are showing you, you will never get paid. Why do you still waste your time, skills, and effort on just a futile Hope? I have stopped working for almost 9 months. We are the FUEL of this dark business.

WE NEED UNITY. WE NEED COLLECTIVE ACTION. Just stop work, stop work. You will never die if you don't work here, but you will die if you do.

To you whoever wants to make a logo or anything on crowdspring please NEVER.
The designer has the right to take back the work because crowdspring does not pay money to the designer.

I was recommended to Crowdspring in order to have a logo designed. I had never done anything like this before, but I found their process simple to use and I was pleased with the design submissions I received. The final product was excellent. Highly recommended!

Trust is the most critical factor when outsourcing vital assets. From the outset, Crowdspring's clean interface and clear instructions earned our confidence. Aside from a strong first impression, throughout the project, Crowdspring provided guidance creating a pleasant and productive ecosystem. Their community clearly enjoys working in this environment. Our internal team was extremely happy with the time invested and the elegant results.

Ross Kimbarovsky is only now using CrowdSpring as a cash cow, scamming creatives of their funds and unsuspecting clients with fake promises.

Ross Kimbarovsky has now shifted focus to Jurat Blockchains and Networks where the unsuspecting public is singing his praise without knowing who he truly is.

The only way we creatives can pay this man in his own coin is to expose him such that people who are patronizing Jurat Blockchains and Network will know the risk in dealing with this hardcore scammer.

Go to their X handle, LinkedIn page and other social accounts and leave a comment warning people about the dubiousness of Ross Kimbarovsky. Copy the link of there reviews here on Trustpilot and post as an evidence so that people will read and believe.

The man will probably do the same thing he is currently doing on CrowdSpring to the unsuspecting public patronizing Jurat.

He scams both designers and clients so he is a hardcore dubious character without any iota of integrity.

I am so disappointed in the Illinois Attorney General's office where I have reported this issue severally.

This man is probably making hundred of thousands of dollars without any remorse.

This has to be stopped and Ross Kimbarovsky and his team at CrowdSpring should be made to face the consequences of their dubious activities.

I paid $1500K for the highest-tier package, expecting high-class designers to compete for my logo. Their marketing promised "top talent," but in reality, they pay designers a fraction of the price, meaning that real professionals never even participate!
What I got? Beginner and mediocre designs. The submissions were generic and uninspired—definitely not worth thousands of dollars. Crowdspring is deceiving customers into believing they’re hiring elite designers when, in fact, most are amateurs or low-tier freelancers.
The biggest scam? Their "100% Money-Back Guarantee" is a LIE!
We canceled the project on Day 4, fully within their refund policy, but they never returned a cent! Customer support kept stalling, ignoring emails, and refusing to process the refund. Now, I’ve had to file a chargeback through my bank just to fight for MY OWN MONEY!
They take your money, exploit designers, and deliver garbage work.
Avoid Crowdspring at all costs!
This company should be SHUT DOWN for false advertising, unethical practices, and outright scamming businesses! If you value your time, money, and sanity—STAY AWAY!

Be careful! The designs you will get are low-level, and if you don't pick the bronze or silver plan, you will not get any refund. I will never use this platform again.

Crowdspring is a Scam – They Stole My Money!
I worked multiple project through Crowdspring and successfully earned $2,245, but when it was time for payment, Ross Kimbarovsky, Mona, and Ashlee did not release my money without any reason. Instead of supporting freelancers, they act like greedy scavengers, banning my account for a month just to avoid paying me. I sent multiple emails asking for my rightful payment, but now they ignore me completely.

Crowdspring operates like a den of frauds—taking work from designers but not paying them. They behave like ruthless predators, feeding off freelancers’ hard work while offering nothing in return. If you are a designer, stay away from Crowdspring! They will take your work, make excuses, and leave you with nothing.

I will continue to expose their shady and unethical practices on every platform possible until I get the payment I deserve. Crowdspring must be held accountable for their fraudulent actions!

Our community has tested the CrowdSpring (CS) service multiple times over several years, both as project owners and designers. Additionally, we have collaborated with independent designers for further research.

Today, CS remains a platform where you can find design and freelance opportunities, but it comes with significant challenges.

Issues for Designers:

- Platform Bias Against Designers: CS consistently sides against designers and actively seeks reasons to block their accounts.
- Unfinished Projects: Many contests end without a winner being chosen, even when contest holders were highly active during the competition—providing feedback, requesting revisions, and asking for branding guides. Unlike other platforms that value designers' time and distribute unclaimed prize money, CS leaves these contests unresolved.
- Unclear Winner Selection Timeline: Contest holders can take months to choose a winner, and even after selection, finalizing the project can take an additional month or more.
- Delayed Payments: Regardless of the amount, payment processing can take years, making it unreliable for freelancers.

Issues for Contest Holders:

- Fewer Design Submissions: Despite promises of receiving 100+ unique designs, most experienced designers have left the platform or been blocked. As a result, only a handful of designers participate in contests, often submitting just a few variations.

- Delayed Refunds: If none of the submitted designs meet your expectations, you can request a refund—but be prepared to wait years for reimbursement.
- Potential Copyright Issues: Even if you receive a design that meets your needs, you may later be contacted by the designer. After months of unpaid work, some designers (especially new users unaware of CrowdSpring’s delays) may feel deceived and claim ownership of the design. In some cases, they may even resell the same design elsewhere.

These are just some of the fundamental issues with CS today. It has become one of the least reliable and most unfair platforms for both designers and contest holders.

For freelancers, continuing to work on CS only enables the platform to persist in its exploitative practices. For contest holders, creating projects there means contributing to this system.

Bunch of scammers! Do not pay the creatives for their hard work even after two years! They've blocked my account just for asking about the payment. After blocking my account for 1 month they did paid me around $1833 which they were holding for almost two years.

Since November 28 till date I have won over 12 contests which they didn’t pay me for when I ask for my account they deactivated my account I wonder how client still believe this platform is not a scam platform.

CrowdSpring doesn't pay their creators. I had a designer do a job for me 6 months ago and he has still not been paid and there is no reason for this. In fact, he has not been paid for 5 contracts. I won't use CrowdSpring ever again because of the way they steal from their creators.

We worked with our creative KellyST on our very first project where she created our "beebunny" logo. That experience was so special that we specifically asked for her to create our 10th anniversary campaign which was done with such creativity and professionalism. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and outcome!

I ran a Website design project hoping I'll receive 100+ designs that is what they claimed! I barely received 17 entries over a week. My internal team would have created better designs.

It was really disappointing to see such poor turnaround as compared to my previous project 6 months ago. Because they stated money back guaranty i requested for a refund, It has been 4 weeks I am chasing them for the refund of $1200 and there is no response. Crowdspring now keeps all that money.

This platform had some great pool of talent but it's not the case this time around. I tried to find some top creatives I worked in the past their account i couldn't find any. they seemed to have moved on.

Proceed with this then only if you don't want to block/loose your money.
