I won a contest on Crowdspring in July 2023, with a reward of $960. According to their website, payment is supposed to be made within 10 days, but 17 months later, I’m still waiting!

Not only have they failed to pay me what I am rightfully owed, but they also suspended my account without any explanation and have completely ignored all my emails and support requests. Their actions are unprofessional, unethical, and outright theft.

If you’re a creative considering Crowdspring, STAY AWAY! This platform does not respect its users, fails to honor its agreements, and provides no accountability. I will be pursuing legal action to recover my money, but I’m warning others now: Don’t trust them with your work. They are thieves!

Why 1 star?
Because i recently spoke to my colleagues that continued to work after the epic announcement some time ago, saying that they finally "passed the bottleneck" & things are getting back to norm.
It appears, that no bottleneck has been passed. Payment delays again. And not like 1 week or a moth, but 8-12 months!

Luckily i skipped this scam site and moved to the place where funds are being released in 24-48 working days hours.
Clients: do not waste your time in there! Because of this issue, you will never get a quality design you expected! None will simply want to work with you.

I wish I lived nearby. I would look for the CEO and the rest of the team until I found them! And bye!

But I'll find a way! I've had enough of their bullshit all this time.

Crowdspring is really a scam site for freelance professionals. I am a graphic designer. I worked there for a few months, won a few contests, and clients paid the bills. I only saw my earnings on the Crowdspring profile. Earned more than 1,000 USD but received only around 100 USD after 10 months. Then I asked about my payment and sent them emails. Guise what! They threatened me and then closed my account without clearing my payments. Now, its been more than a year. I am still waiting for my money from that scam site. I am looking for a lawyear now to sue them, as I took screenshots while I had my account access, and I will try my best to sue them for my hard-earned money.

Designers, please avoid this Crowdspring platform. They are really a scam site and NOT trustworthy.

I have no experience with branding whatsoever and have had a wonderful experience with crowdspring. My first project was a naming project and I was so pleased with the quality of the entries that I am wrapping up a logo design project. Their support staff encouraged me to provide feedback in order to get the best results with my project so that was good advice. I gave feedback on entries and revisions as soon as I could which was a bit time consuming but I think it is worth it to optimize my choices. As soon as the logo design project is finished I'll be using Crowdspring for web page design.

Outstanding experience, good value and the creatives are really good too. For branding it’s perfect

I've been a designer on Crowdspring and earned over $1,000, but I haven’t received a single payment in over a year. When I reached out to ask about the delay, my account was banned. I even contacted some of my clients and asked them to reach out to Crowdspring directly — none of them received any response either. It genuinely feels like they are scamming us designers. The lack of communication, delayed payments, and punitive bans are completely unacceptable. I strongly recommend other creatives avoid this platform.

It's possible that their CEO is investing the money in cryptocurrency (his other business named Jurat Blockchains) with the hope that its value will increase over time. Many individuals and businesses have turned to crypto as a potential high-return investment, especially during market fluctuations.

I have led three logo projects for our company using Crowdspring, and each experience has been positive. One significant advantage is the ability to choose from several designers. This allows us to select the designer who best captures the look and feel our client is aiming for. We have also appreciated the prompt responses from the designers on the platform and the flexibility to tweak designs as needed.

The Crowdspring platform is user-friendly, and we particularly enjoy the focus group feature, which enables our team to vote on different designs. Crowdspring does an excellent job of communicating with us, ensuring that we stay on track to complete the design in a timely manner.

Using this way to come up with and create a logo for your company is so great. The artists came up with ideas I had never even thought of. Then if there was anything you wanted changed it was so easy. The hardest part was choosing between all the great logos presented to me. I would use them again and recommend them to everyone wanting a logo for branding their company.

About seven months ago, I requested a payment that still hasn’t reached my account. When I inquire about the delay, they assure me I’ll be paid and that I shouldn’t worry. But it’s impossible not to worry—waiting this long for what should be a straightforward process feels absurd.

Each time I follow up, I ask why it’s taking so long. Are they using my money? But for what? Their silence is maddening.

I’m not just frustrated; I’m hungry—starving, need any help, in fact. It’s as if they’ve lost all empathy (lost their heart, maybe their soul too). I can’t help but feel that if something goes wrong, they’ll be to blame.

My project was so easy using this service and having the ability to give feedback before and after the end of the project allowed me to get exactly what I needed. It far exceeded my expectations and is a great value.

It's a lonely journey, my latest project only received 26 entries from 4 designers. This is quite a downturn compared to a few years ago when I received over 90 entries from 23 designers.

Now, I understand why: they’ve been delaying payments to designers for an unreasonably long time—sometimes over 8 months, even more than a year, according to several reviews. This is a major issue, and such a business model could be considered illegal and is at serious risk of legal consequences. Not to respond to any reviews in this website is also an unsmart move.

To the designers: I hope they pay you for your hard work and give you the compensation you rightfully deserve on time. My sympathy goes out to you and your loved ones.

And finally, Ross, pay your designers now! No more excuses. Tell the truth; it’s the only way to save your company.

Never paid the artist that won on my project. I have given previous 5 star reviews of this company and no longer suggest that anyone use Crowdspring.

I have worked with three different crowdsourcing sites both as a leaderboard creative on all three (slogans/ naming contests/ writing assignments) and as a client (taglines/ logos). I now solely work with Crowdspring because of their professionalism, speed, and their amazing creatives. I just finished, as a client representing a non-profit, a logo creation contest that was epic. 77 designs were produced in a few days and the entries were as thoughtful and nuanced, fearless, bold, and as fun as desired. No other site has the extensive number of superlative creatives quickly responding to a client's comments. I encourage new clients to drill down on the website tabs and see ALL that this amazing site offers, and then spend time crafting your project brief to get the very best results.

We were told about Crowdspring through a friend and we’re not sure what to expect. All I can say is even our highest expectations were exceeded. It was easy. We got great responses and most importantly we are very pleased with our final product. We cannot highly recommend Crowdspring enough.
