The installers did a first class job of replacing our patio doors. Freddie and Adam were friendly, helpful and professional. When they left you wouldn't know they had been, they tidied everything and it was a very satisfying experience..very rare nowadays!

My experience with Crystal Windows was 5 Star because they were on time, very friendly, very quick and professional and left my house in a cleaner condition than when they arrived. I will use them again for some of my other windows when they need updating and would highly recommend them to my friends and neighbours.

The gentleman that came to give us a quote was clearly very experienced and knowledgeable. The fitters were polite, professional and efficient in fitting the windows. They cleaned up at the end and explained everything we needed to know about how to ensure the longevity of the windows. I am happy with the service we received and would recommend.

Extremely pleased with installation

From the person who came to give us a quote to the men that installed the windows they were very professional. I was impressed with how the fitters worked and that they cleaned up when they had finished and how they made sure that all carpets were covered and furniture. I would definitely recommend Crystal Windows .

The whole process of having a new front porch built was well executed from start to finish. We have crystal windows that have been in place for 28 years and have lasted brilliantly .The new porch matches exactly which shows the quality of the original window frames etc. All crystal representatives from Service to Admin and Intsallers offered great customers service, were professional and were willing to always go the extra mile. We will only use Crystal now for any future projects.

Lack of Care and Attention

The sales process went well and the windows were manufactured and fitted quickly.

However, despite 2 surveyors taking measurements at different times, those were not quite accurate resulting in different window frame visibility. In victorian houses in particular it cannot be assumed that windows are the same size. Measurements should be taken on the inside as well as the outside, and solutions for discrepancies should be agreed with the customer prior to finalising. I would also recommend customers accompany the surveyor during this process.

Scaffolding that was meant to be in situ for 2 days was there for more than 2 weeks. It took multiple calls and emails to the scaffolding firm as well as Crystal Windows to arrange removal, causing us unnecessary work and stress.

Windows were fitted in such a state that required hours of remedial work on the outside: discoloured silicone seals, gaps were missed entirely and seals that looked like kids were playing with clay, lacking the smooth finish one would expect with that material.

One window pane was scratched, either during manufacture, transport or fitting, and will need to be replaced, resulting in additional work yet to be done. However, Crystal Windows have accepted responsibility for this.

An unprotected metal shed was used as table for tools and materials, causing scratches and stains. Crystal Windows are not accepting responsibility for this, so we will pass this matter to our insurance now to deal with. A "goodwill gesture" was deemed unacceptable and declined as shed will need to be cleaned, sanded down, rust-protected and painted.

Remedial work is also required on the inside (missing seals on wooden sills, for example) but Crystal Windows have agreed to undertake this work.

For us the process of having windows replaced was stressful and time-consuming, not to mention expensive. And this experience is far from over.

Very pleased and happy with my new front door and windows. I have used Crystal windows before and found them very professional, and their products are excellent quality. The installers are very professional and courteous, and clean up afterwards. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Installation went well. Unfortunately, in the room under the foam installation, of the 10 ceiling lights, only 3 are now working. Team are coming back to see what has happened.

The installers were all friendly and polite and performed their individual tasks well. 1 new front door and 2 large patio doors fitted by 4pm!
Only problem I have experienced since is the difficulty in locking/unlocking of patio doors.

We had a Thermotec roof installed on our conservatory and can't believe how much it has improved the space. Yes, there is less light, but the fact the room is now usable for more than four weeks a year makes up for it. Even with a 30C day, I was able to sit in there with just the door open and it was the coolest spot in the house. Great installation team too. Highly recommended.
