What started as a great experience turned into a nightmare.

Firstly, I want to start the review by stating that Alex (who I was working with initially at the MK branch) was fantastic. He moved to a position at another depot just before my order was due to be delivered and this is where the problems started to occur.

The bulk of my order was delivered on the agreed date, however it was noted that a few items were missing (tile adhesive, heated towel rail, bath panel). When I followed up, I was told it would be delivered the next day, in which it wasn't.

Over the next few days I had no updates and either myself or the tradesman doing the installation had to keep calling to get any form of update. After chasing numerous times, we were told the tile adhesive would be delivered the following morning. When it didn't arrive, we called again and were told that they send out a delivery van just for the tile adhesive (understandable, but not what we were told).

After a number of calls, I got a refund for the bath panel, adhesive and towel rail as the bath panel had been ordered from elsewhere and had also been delayed arriving to Cliftons for delivery to myself. Getting a refund was also hard work, at first I was told I could only go to branch to get the refund rather than over the phone or online. Eventually I did, but not without having to call another 3-4 times.

Up until Alex moved branch I had a great experience, but it seems like nobody actually replaced him. The individual I had been dealing with didn't seem to have any resolutions to the issues faced and was incredibly unhelpful throughout the process. At one point I was left to wait on the phone for about 10 minutes, whilst the team seemed to just be having a laugh and joke in the background- quite infuriating when I have already called a number of times to get a resolution. I wouldn't use Cliftons again due to the number of issues I had when issues arose with the missing items, and the very unhelpful service I received. I also believe my tradesperson I had used for the installation was embarrassed knowing he had recommended the company on their previously good service, when it ended up causing a lot of frustration and issues for both of us.

I’ve been using Clifton Trade Bathrooms for years now. As a bathroom fitter myself they make my job a whole lot easier. They're always good and helpful with my customers and everything is delivered on time.

I’ve been using the Stirchley branch of Clifton Trade Bathrooms since they opened in spring 2025. I couldn’t be happier with the Stirchley branch, best customer service and great products!

As a tradesman using Clifton’s (stirchley) for all of my bathrooms I can honestly say it doesn’t get any better.

They have ranges to suit each individual customer, they look after us and our customers. Their aftercare is also brilliant.

I send all of my customers there with complete peace of mind that everything is under control.

We asked Clifton Altrincham to measure our bathrooms. They advised us it is best practice if they do it. The store sent over someone who then proceeded to measure our entire house flooring. He then ordered 9 extra boxes which we can’t return. Additionally there is no record of his measurements and nor is they check with us. Our house is a small terraced house and I am now left with 20 m2 of grey bathroom flooring. The company are refusing to accept liability.

The staff at Stirchley are extremely helpful and knowledgeable in all their products. I have a positive experience every time I visit, and I feel very well looked after. Karl, Dan, Dan and Liv genuinely care about their customers and their experiences and obviously take pride in what they do.

I would always recommend Clifton Trade Bathrooms to all my customers and friends! Massive Thank you to everyone at Stirchley for being on top of everything for me!

Just had a bathroom re-fit and was advised by our Plummer to use Clifton Trade in Milton Keynes.
Never again.
We were assured that they could deliver everything within 24 hours. If the store didn't have it then they'd get the product from a different store.
The delivery was incomplete when we first received the bathroom and items. No one told us we had the delivery, I just found it in our garage which had been left open for the Plummer to go in and out. No delivery note to confirm what had been left. We realised that the delivery was incomplete and a part of the toilet system was missing. We contacted the branch and was told that there was batch issue and they couldn't get product for 2 weeks. So we are minus a toilet for 2 weeks.
We received a call from the manager the following Wednesday who assured us that the item would arrive the very next day and they would get it out to us.
No delivery on the day specified. I phoned the next day and was informed by the asst manager who informed us, "we've seen the item but we can't find it". He said he'd phone me back when he'd located our missing item. Shortly afterwards I get a call from the asst mag apologising because they've ordered the wrong colour. We may get the item on Monday. I'm not holding my breath.
On top of this fiasco, on the day of our original delivery, shortly afterwards a second delivery arrived. The delivery driver was just about to put it in our garage and we thought it may have been further items booked by our Plummer. After checking the inventory with the driver we realised that although the delivery note was in our name and address, the delivery was not for us. Luckily we checked otherwise another customer would've been minus a bathroom unit.
When you want to complain, you can't contact their HQ, you have to go through the original depot who created the fiasco in the first place.
Would touch this bunch ever again

Highly recommend the Cheltenham store.
We recently replaced our ensuite bathroom, it was great to be able to choose everything in one place, including tiles and flooring.
Special thanks to Steph for her endless patience at my indecisiveness and numerous questions, she made the process stress free.
A small issue with an incorrect item being delivered was quickly and easily resolved, a true sign of excellent customer service is how well issues are fixed.
The products are all excellent quality. The fact that the products are all stored locally means no lengthy delays.

Amira was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. She was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond standard customer service to help me. She took the time to answer all my questions, offered great advice, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I couldn’t have asked for better support I would highly recommend asking for Amira if you visit Clifton Bathrooms!

I’ve been working along side Clifton bathrooms for around 2 years now. pretty much every bathroom project I’ve done has been via them. Great team, great service and they’ve always some sort of incentive on for the installers as well as my customers getting a bargain.

I know if somethings wrong it gets sorted with zero hassle, zero questions and I’m on my way.

Had a positive experience with Tara at the Altrincham branch of Clifton. She was extremely helpful in guiding me through the range of products and offered valuable advice. She was extremely professional and was always available to help with any queries, responding in a prompt and friendly manner. I had to change some products mid-project and Paul at the Altrincham branch was also helpful in recalculating costs quickly and efficiently.

Super support from the Altrincham store, I wanted replacement handles on my bathroom furniture which had gone a little dull (after six years - understandable) and Tara got hold of the right ones, and let me have them free of charge. Apart from needing new (free!) handles, we still love the en suite bathroom we had fitted in 2020 - shower tray and enclosure, vanity and toilet all great quality and still look great. Thanks Altrincham CLiftons!

Been working from Ray and his team at the Altrincham depot for around 9 years now, absolutely fantastic team, nothing is never to much trouble, problems are sorted as soon as which helps me no end with staying on time, I've dealt with other companies (not by choice) and when issues arise 2-3 days to sort which puts me behind on work, which in turn effects my next job. Would recommend not only Ray and his team, but Cliftons as a whole to anyone first class service

I have been a builder for over 30years and have used all the merchants out there and they are all pretty soulless, but Clifton’s branch at Minworth is different- because of the staff, they are welcoming, warm and engaging. Debbie and Lucy know all there is to know about all the products and help you to get the right bathroom and components required to make your job exceptional.
I have sent customers to Clifton’s and told them to ask for Debbie and they have all thanked me and have had a great experience, I have on a couple of occasions been stuck on a job and have called Debbie for advice and she has found me the parts I would need to complete the job and put the parts in their van, collected some other parts from other stores and got them out to me on site. Exceptional staff make the branch what it is and Debbie goes above and beyond. A big thank you to all the staff there; 5 stars every time.

I have been using Clifton's minworth branch for a couple of years now always an amazing service from Debbie and Lucy always look after us with sales/aftercare never have any issues and amazing products. All the staff are helpful and always friendly.
