Cwtchy insulation is the best. Customer service is excellent. Not my most recent purchase, but the one before I mistakenly ordered the same item again and they contacted me to check. Was so grateful.
I have all 3 insulation items for my hot tub and it has made a huge difference to my energy usage.

I recently ordered an insulating thermal base, cover and lid for my Lay Z Spa and I'm absolutely thrilled with the products. It's clear that they are having a very positive effect on reducing the amount of heat lost from the tub - so much so that during recent heavy frost, the lid actually had frost on it even though the tub was set to 38 degrees!

I'm confident that the insulation provided will help significantly with my energy bills and help the environment at the same time!!

Mixed review. I have purchased the under tub insulation base, insulation jacket and lid. The straps on the insulation jacket needed adjusting initially as it was not tight enough and this was sorted in good time. Good customer service from Karen. Mixed feelings overall. On a positive note the insulation appears to be working well and saving money which is great.

Less positive is the fact that the covers are advertised as waterproof and the lid when used in conjunction with the poles provided should stop water pooling on the hot tub underneath. It said water should run off but when it rains heavily I'm getting large pools of water underneath the cover. I've been told that the water will not effect the insulation in the base or the lid (which is a closed cell insulation) but I'm baffled by how water is getting under the cover when it's advertised as waterproof and designed so water should run off, not soak through. I've now had a response from Customer Services which said the water is seeping through the seam on the lid which will happen in heavy rainfall, and this will occur but will not damage the product or effect the performance of the lid. The wording on the website now reflects this but this wasn't the case when I made the purchase as it was described as 100% waterproof and would prevent pooling. All product webpages are now being updated so the guidance is clearer. Thank you to the customer service team for acknowledging the problem and updating their site.

I'm still slightly worried about the long term effect of rain on the insulation material inside the insulation jacket around the hot tub. Is this also going to leak water at the seam? The insulation definitely works but it's an expensive purchase and I'm concerned the rainwater might damage the insulation in the jacket after the heavy rain we get over a winter period.

I’ve been totally blown away twice by this company. I bought a hot tub cover about 18 months ago. When one of the poles broke they sent me a new set the next day FOC. I thought that was pretty good but when the cover got water inside and was only good for the tip, I called them to see what advice they could offer. They sent me a brand new cover by courier the next day FOC again. I remember when I first ordered the lid that they had received good reviews but having now been on the receiving end twice, I can only endorse what everyone else is saying. Amazing service.

I am seriously impressed not only with the product but also the customer service. I have a Lay Z Spa Maldives I got pump cover, side jacket, lid & leather cover. I looked at these covers for about 6 months thinking about buying them because being honest they are expensive. I am a yellow sticker supermarket guy I struggle to buy anything I can’t see a guaranteed value in. I was a bit sceptical of the performance of the covers but I think with me it’s a case of your biggest sceptics will become your best customers when they’ve been converted. The weather all this week is -2c - -6c this morning. I have an off peak electric tarriff with Octopus Intelligent & now just heating during the night off peak & then turning the heater off in peak time it’s costing me under £1 a day. Just buy these covers. Spend the money, get the quality & enjoy them. You can try to do a DIY bodge job but it will probably perform & look like a bodge job. Just pay once & buy quality.

I would recommend to anyone without Cwtchy Covers to just go & buy them all. Jacket, lid, pump cover for whatever unit you have.

I also have the leather cover to go over. I feel this is another layer of protection & means with all the covers I don’t have to worry about the 2 neighbourhood cats that have been sleeping & fighting on my hot tub this week!

Just buy them, you will not regret it!

We purchased a Lay-Z-Spa Maldives earlier In the year and it would lose temperature fairly quickly over a 24hr period. After searching the internet I came across cwtchy -covers as Lay-Z-Spa do not yet provide a thermal cover. The reviews were just to good to give this product a miss.

We purchased the Lid, Jacket and pump cover. Despite the initial outlay the jackets will pay for them selves in 6 months. We are on an economy 7 tariff and now only heat the tub 3hrs a day from 0530-0830. Previously we would have to set the pool to come on at 0130. This would cost us £2.90 per day to heat. The pool would drop anywhere between 7-10c within the 17hr period the heater is off depending on the outside temperature. With all the thermal covers on the pool now cost us 92p to bring it back up to temp. It only loses 2-3c over a 21hr period. We generally use the hot tub on an evening between 1900-2200 and it is always sat between 38-39c.

We are highly impressed with Cwtchy-covers, and their customer service is fabulous. Karen was amazing answering any questions and queries we had.

Just to clarify this is a genuine review from a paying customer.

We have a wrap-around jacket fitted with an insulated lid. The lid has metal arms that create a space between the lid of the hot tub and the insulated cover. The material made looks pretty classy and certainly doesn’t look a cheap addition. The wrap around jacket is held in place with robust adjustable straps and clips and is fitted in a matter of minutes. The lid takes a little longer as the metal arms screw into a central boss. Once you figure it out it is easy to do. There are straps that pass under the tub that receive clips from the cover that hold it in position.

As I said it looks pretty good.

With any claim to ‘cut your energy costs’ I’m always pretty sceptical but this really works.

This summer the average loss of temperature of the tub has been around 4 degrees overnight. We set it to heat to around 38 and when we check in the morning it usually 34, 33 on a colder night. This compares with a previous temp drop of around 8 degrees previously. (We only use it in the summer, so pretty much like for like)

In terms of energy use this means it takes approx 2 hours to heat instead of 4-5 hours.

They aren’t cheap to buy, but they are good value for two reasons. Firstly it costs a lot less money to run the tub, and secondly it makes us more likely to use it as we aren’t sitting there thinking ‘ this is all well and good but just how much is this costing us’..

On balance a bit of an outlay but our actual bill on our energy costs are considerably lower and in honesty we might not be using the tub at all, which is arguably cheaper still but a bit rubbish, the point of having one is sitting in it having a beer, chatting etc.

The first jacket was way too big. The second one is a very tight fit. It seems to do a decent job, first night the temperature only dropped 1.5C with the heating off!
Just be aware, there are no clips on the sides of the jacket thus making it very awkward to use the hot tubs own cover (very difficult to get to the clips of the Tekapo body with the jacket on) hence the 4 stars not 5.

After much research into vitally needed insulation for my lazy spa this year, I decided to buy the full set of cwtchy insulation covers comprising ground base, surround and lid. I had already purchased the pump surround last year from them, (which deadens the pump sound as well as insulates).
From ordering to delivery the service was excellent -the customer service lady (Karen) was extremely helpful and very friendly and professional, answering all my questions and queries.
I purchased their beautiful new duck egg blue colour and it looks fantastic.
My spa was set up on Saturday afternoon on the insulation base, and then clad with the surround cover. It was then heated up to 20 degrees (shock temperature), shock added, heater switched off and lid put on. The very next morning the temperature had increased to 21 degrees! Since then, the heater has been off permanently off and the water temperature has remained at 21 degrees - this is definitely amazing insulation that really does work. I’m looking forward to paying much less electricity!

Having searched the Internet for various insulated hot tub covers, I came across Cwtchy Covers in South Wales. These are brilliant, you give them your make and model of your hot tub and they make them to order so you can rest assured they will fit. I Purchased an insulated base and the pump cover. Delighted with these I went back and ordered the deluxe leather cover for the
hot tub. Delivery is quick, great product and you won't be disappointed if you order these covers.

I bought the cover set and It was one of my best decisions, it keeps it hot at all times and I'm paying much less for electricity to heat my water, couldn't be happier. Highly recommend it to everyone also the customer service is lovely, instant replies shows that they care.

Excellent customer service. Bought a hot tub base and pump base (so base and pump stay level). Great looking base and fits perfectly to my tub. Looking forward to loosing less heat from under my tub.
