Paul Did a Great Job

I took advantage of DAD's 3 hour handyman deal for £49. Paul came over when he was expected and got everything done despite there being some problems such as having the wrong sized TV mount. I really liked using this app as it was very useful to have a video call to show what needed to be done without having to have a home visit. I also liked not having to pay cash and adding the parking costs onto the online payment. Would definitely recommend DAD to anyone needing work done in their home.

Great, helpful guys and honest

A few difficulties getting the booking sorted but when it was sorted the guys that arrived were excellent. tidy and professional.

Would recommend.

Dad to the rescue

Impressive is the word I would use to describe Dad. I needed a loft cleared - a dirty job. George and Paul arrived exactly on time and prepared to tackle the job complete with protective clothing. I wish them every success with the future of the Company - they deserve it.

Excellent

I was a but sceptical but was pleasenty surprised at the speed,knowledge,&efficiency of my enquiry .Lee was extremely helpful,polite&I was happy at his suggestions St to what is wrong with my boiler.

5 star service and customer satisfaction by dad

I was looking online for a handy man, and found dad.co as I first was impressed by there quick response to emails... as they came to my house.. I met Ricky one of there colleague which was very welcoming and greeted me with a smile and with a walm presence, I told him what needs doing and he was ready to get on with it, with a clear understanding anything he didn't understand he would ask questions, I needed more work then I entended and he was happy to help and so I used him for more hours, and he got the work done... im 110 percent satisfied with his work would refer them to other people on a high scale of professional service and was left with everything done and more... thank you for your five star service dad.co

Anual Boiler Service

We have availed the DAD service for the first time to do the anual boiler service. The service was top class. In addition to the service I found the engineer very helpful and sorted out the other issue w/o any extra charge... Really pleased...Would definitely Recommend...

Very professional and friendly service

Very professional and friendly service start to finish. Customer services were very helpful with initial assessment of the required job and the time and tools that would be needed to complete it. Handyman was very knowledgeable and professional, also reasonable with the slight deviations from the initial task / quote.

DAD - The eHandyman is here!

After searching the net for handymen and frustrated with the many calls, processes and the call out charge extortions.... I stumble across DAD. The app based handyman service.

Thought will give it a try and downloaded the app and registered myself and made the first call from the app. A very nice friendly guy appeared on my facetime and asked me how they can help. I told my problem (leaky shower cubical) and he asked me to show him the issue using my phone camera which I did. After 5 min of chat he took all the details and helped me to arrange a local handyman to come and do the initial investigation for the quoted £49. The local handyman Paul arrived on time and very quickly figured out where the issues are and clearly told me what he would like to do, how long it may take. Once Paul reported back to the HQ I recived a quote for the time and money for the work based on Paul's investigation. Once I have agreed he went to work and did an amazing job with the problem. Instead of just resealing the tiles he built a solid frame to go underneath the shower tray to stop it from moving. His workmanship was of very high quality and he was a very friendly and helpful guy. This issue has been bothering me for over 9 months and few cowboys came and did some mediocre patch-up jobs that never lasted more than few months. But now I am fully satisfied with what DAD has done for me and will happily recommend their services to anyone. In DAD, the 21st century online handymen are here and they are brilliant !

Great service

I had to wait a couple of weeks due to the popularity of the promotion they were running, but the handyman work was first class, the booking system easy - using phone video to show the jobs that need doing is genius. I'll definitely recommend them and use them again.

Extremely disappointing service

We needed a few things sorted around our flat so i turned to DAD when i saw such glowing reviews on Trustpilot. I was slightly skeptical of getting a quote on a video chat. But went for it anyway when i saw a 3 hour promotion...BIG MISTAKE!!
the gentleman who quoted seemed really confident and upon asking him if i needed to provide anything, he said that the handyman will bring everything. The job was to hang some items on the wall and fix a door handle and bath screen sealant.
The handyman arrived on the day and the first thing he said was he needed parts to hang the items. He then left to arrive 1.5 hour later. It took him 2 hours to get 4 frames (my usual handyman takes around 30 mins for the same) on the wall and recently when i checked, there were large pencil marks all long the wall he put up frames. He later said it was hard to work alone and he needed someone to help put up the items because they were heavy. What was the point of the video chat to show the exact work if nothing was communicated anyway??
He was forever on the phone which was really off putting but he said he was speaking with his manager to say that the job was priced wrong. He promised that his manager had offered to complete the rest of the services FOR FREE. That never happened and they charged my card anyway. Now they are quoting 80quid an hour to complete the work.
I'd say avoid at all costs and go for your friendly neighbourhood handyman.

I'm really disappointed to hear that you feel we let you down on this occasion and I’d like to take this opportunity to personally apologise.

Having reviewed your call and job notes, I believe the biggest thing we did wrong in this instance was a poor job of setting expectations.
My understanding of the situation is that you wanted to take advantage of our fantastic offer - 3 hours of a skilled handyman for just £49 inc. VAT.

The list of tasks you expected to be completed included:

- Hanging 5 tea crates on a plasterboard wall
- Removal, shaving and refitting of 4 internal doors to ensure a better fit over your carpets
- Fitting of a kitchen blind, with a missing bracket
- Mounting a canvas onto a plasterboard wall
- 4 picture frames to be fitted to a plasterboard wall (frames to be sourced by you following the video call)
- 3 picture frames to fit on the bathroom wall (frames to be sourced by you following the video call)
- Fitting a door handle onto a bathroom door (with DAD to supply a new handle)
- Refitting a rubber seal for a bath screen

On the initial video call, which you rated 5 stars, Shane, one of our experts did stress that it would not be possible to complete all of this within 3 hours. However, I don’t believe we were clear enough with you throughout the process.

The handyman who was sent to your home completed the following tasks from your list, as prioritised by you:

- Hung 6 crates on your plasterboard wall
- Fitted 4 picture frames to the plasterboard wall in your bedroom
- Fitted 3 picture frames to your bathroom wall

You had decided to stick to the 3-hour promotion, which is absolutely fine, and whilst the handyman completed 5 hours of labour, we only charged you the £49.

I wish you all the very best and hope that your friendly neighbourhood handyman is able to help you complete the remainder of the tasks.

Excellent service and great application.

I would recommend this app to everyone. Very professional response from Marc. Thank you very much for all your help. Saved my money. I rang regarding an electricity problem at my home and he just solved it without charging anything. Very good response and good quality phone video call. Go for it. You will not get disappointed.

Great service

We are very pleased with the service, very professional and friendly. The plumber spent longer time than booked and purchased additional parts at no extra cost. Great company and we would like to highly recommend them.

Wish we'd had everyone else's experience!

We were really excited to try this service but have been left disappointed. Repeatedly we have been told to expect a home visit and repeatedly they have not shown up. 2 months later we still have our issue and, having paid several hundred pounds, are loathe to begin the process again elsewhere.

The idea is innovative, the guys in the other end of the phone are always polite & helpful but if they are going to branch into home visits they need to look into quality assurance.

Peice of cake

They just saved me £120. So easy comunications he spoke easily. And patient. If i could give more star i would this is the way forwoard saving time and money for both of us. By using smartphone

Top company

Very friendly and got expert advice for my plumbing problem (hot water not coming from the tap). With the advice received I could easily fix the problem myself. I have saved myself the expensive London call out charges. Will surely be using Dad experts again.

What an app!

Usually it's hard to get a hold of an handyman even with a few days notice. The app is simple to use and puts you in touch with a professional instantly. I received really useful answers to my questions and general advice to help me with some DIY at home.

Dad is surprisingly excellent

To be honest I didn't know what to expect as lots of services claim to be innovative. I used DAD to fix my dishwasher - what would have been a £65 call out fee from another service and a two day wait took me 15minutes and £5 call to resolve. I found the DAD experts to be very friendly and easy to talk to - in fact I kept coming up with other issues around the house to get his help on. He also provided some solid advice about a refrigerator problem I had had. Happily recommend them and look forward to using them again in the future!
