This is worst experience for me dealing with customer service of any online retailer. They clearly misled me with incorrect information on their delivery policy when I enquired about delay in delivery. Then when asked for cancellation and refund, they kept avoiding in responding my query and kept writing that they will eventually get the delivery. It’s about 3 weeks and I’m still kept on waiting. Formal complaint is on the way to watchdog to block the retailer for lying about return policy.

Bought a black linen shirt to wear to a funeral the following week. Shirt arrived three weeks after order and the quality and fit were appalling. I was told, after complaining about delivery time to check their Ts and Cs, which actually stated they would process order in a few days and deliver within a week. When I tried to arrange a return I was told this would be at my own cost to a warehouse in China! Happy to pay for returns, but not to China! Again, they said check their Ts and Cs but NO mention of having to return to a foreign address. Tried to instigate legal action but they have no UK entity, so not possible. Shoddy company, shoddy product, fraudulent Ts and Cs. Avoid at all costs. When I started complaining strongly they stopped replying. Scammers. Avoid.

And, after my review, the same response they've sent to EVERY negative review. So, Dave & Carter, you've ignored my last four emails, why would the next one be any different? Refund my purchase and you might get an extra star, but to be honest I'd rather people saw the true grifters you really are. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SHARKS.

Fraudulent website , very poor quality , Their website name and images doesn’t match with what they sold us , it says UK BUT Company is in CHINA .
You can’t return the product if you don’t like it as their company is in China . your postage fee will be more than what you bought so you will give up , and not trustable whether you will get the refund even though you return it to their company in China .
I'm writing to warn others about Dave and Carter Uk . Not reliable website .

Truly appalling quality tee shirt.Was going to sent it back but told it had to go to China factory at s cost of about £30.Arrived scrunched up in a plastic bag with no delivery note and the garment had no makers label if any sort.Customer service not interested and just offered a discount on next order.Why would I want to order another lids of rubbish.Truly it was not even fit enough to go to the charity shop and regrettably consigned to the bin.

This weekend bag has been great for short trips and feels built to last.

Quality was terrible, cheap material, does not look anything like pictures. On attempting to return which on their website is an easy return within 30 days policy has to be returned to china which has cost me 40 pounds, so for 6 terrible shirts which were a fire hazard, it has cost me nearly 250 pounds and i have nothing to show for it, they have now been held at customs as Dave and Carter are not responding to emails - DO NOT USE

Update. There response is nonscence as I have been exchanging emails with them for weeks. They are refusing to get involved or take responsibility. Do Not use this is a massive con for very very poor quality rubbish

Items come directly from China and so take a long time to arrive. If you want to make a return you have to email them. Only then do they tell you that you have to post back to China at your own cost “which can be up to £50”. Quite different to the impression they give in the returns t&c’s. I am therefore suspicious about reviews that say the refund process is simple.
The quality of clothes is poor, all from different manufacturers, so more like buying from Amazon without the good returns process. The sizes are not as advertised.
Certainly not worth the money for the quality and hassle and risk. Shame. If they could actually do what their website says they would have a good business.

Worse purchase on line ever made. Quality of product very poor. Purchased a £100 two x piece suit for a wedding. Very thin material; it came in a bag 20cm x 30cm x 8cm so alarm bells already ringing. Colour beige not as expected, it had a pinkish look. Horrible cut and totally of inferior quality. Returned within 30 days at a substantial cost only not to be accepted at destination. Contacted Dave&Carter but apparently still looking into it….
30 days passed so no refund.
Advice not to use. I should have read reviews prior to purchase.

They delivered the wrong size (and they had cut out the size label, which was a red flag). They insisted that I pay for return shipping (tracked, to China - £50+ !!) which is illegal under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

They completely blanked me. I had to get the credit card company to kick them into giving me a refund.

Do not order from this Website they pretend to be a UK company but really based in China. My shirts took weeks to arrive, they were wrong sizes, the material is very bad, no labels, terrible style. Costs £50 to return to China. They try offering you discount off future purchases. Do not order anything obviously a Fraudulent Company. If you have been scammed already Report y”to your Bank in case they steal your details.

Circus clothes made of 100% poliester. Not resembling photos AT ALL. This is another chinese con shop sending items directly from Asia. No real return policy. Cun*s.

I ordered a swimsuit in my size, but they sent the wrong one. Instead of fixing their mistake, they told me I’d have to pay £50 to return it to China — even though the swimsuit cost £35! They refused to send the correct size or give a full refund unless I paid for shipping, and instead offered me a discount on a future order. Why would I order again after this? Completely unacceptable and terrible customer service.

The quality is horrendous. If you want to send anything back it’s £50. They offered me 70% off my next order if I didn’t send it back. I wouldn’t accept even if they paid me to order again.

Awful experience

Received a shirt that had dye staining on it.

They would not refund or replace and just sent an email saying to send back to china that will cost more than the shirt was bought for.

Complete rip off !

Avoid at all costs

Absolutely dreadful experience with Dave & Carter UK. Their website states delivery times are approximately 3–5 days — in reality, my order took 4 weeks to arrive because, as it turns out, they’re just drop-shipping cheap products from China.

The quality is appalling — flimsy, badly made, and nothing like the images advertised. It’s blatantly obvious the items come from the likes of Temu or Shein. My suspicion was confirmed when I tried to return them: you have to send them back to a warehouse in China.

For my £70 order, they told me it would cost £50 to return — which is essentially blackmail to make you keep the rubbish they sent. It’s a scam tactic and deeply unethical.

To make matters worse, they’re using photos of celebrities and images from other legitimate websites to lure people in. It’s completely misleading and dishonest.

Do yourself a favour and avoid this company at all costs.
